Great Tutorial! Exactly what I was looking for Billy, I appreciate it. I’ve been using sliding rigs all over, fresh and saltwater. It’s such a great method.
You are a good bloke, I've watched a few of your videos and you are the kind of bloke it would be great to fish with, if you are ever in Australia I'd offer to take you. Cheers John
Thanks John, you never know I might have to take you up on that Brother, what a fantastic place you live,so many cool fish to catch. It's all ways been a dream of mine. Thanks again John 👍😁🤙
@@Billyfishing_watch a pleasure mate, if I ever make it over that side of the world I'll have to line up a trip too. I'm just getting into slide baiting so I've been watching all things associated with it. Cheers John

@@Billyfishing_watch I hope you pick this up Brother - where did you get the stepped round nose pliers you used in this video please? I've been searching eBay today and can only find the diddy ones they use for Jewellery!

Dear Billy I like your videos supper you show some things very clearly. However, I would like to ask you to go into even more detail so that the real beginners like me get to see the full picture. It would also be nice if you could also show the application of some clips more clearly. How get mounted on or on the line. Do not assume that matters that are self-evident to the more experienced fisherman are also known by the novice fisherman. Please continue to share your knowledge with us❤️
Hi Luc. I have a video on how to use the slid, just follow the link. Have look at my playlist on my channel page, lot of good videos for beginners. Thanks Brother 👍😁
Great video Billy! Straight forward tutorial. Was wondering the exact specs on the 2mm stainless spring steel. Having a difficult time sourcing the material?
Hi Ron. I get the steel from AliExpress. Just look for stainless spring steel with hardness. Or find me on Instagram, and I will send you a link. Thanks Brother 👍😁
Going to give these a go once winter sets in properly, put a small whiting out as a livebait for a (dare i say it here in the Thames Estuary) decent sized Codling. One question though, will a homemade ring be strong enough to use for the link between the shockleader and the last section of line to the lead, which blocks the slider going all the way down to the lead? Am thinking of making them out of 2.4mm tig rods. Loving the videos though, some excellent ideas youve shared👌👌
Hey Billy! Thanks for all the great content! Quick question for you - the sliders you imported from SA, do you have any links? The design you show here is much superior to the products on offer here in NZ. Thanks!
Hi Rob. I'm sorry, but the guy I got them from is out of business. But I can send you a link for the still, or some Chinese slides. They are the same, just 1.7 not 2mm. I can't send a link on RUclips, so you can find me on Instagram, Billyfishing on insta. Thanks Brother 👍😁👌
Hi. It works best in calm to moderate conditions, on an open beach. It will deliver a bait as far as you can cast the sinker! It is only restricted by the diameter of the fishing line, and the capabilities of the rod and reel! Follow the link to the next video and I will become clear. Thanks Brother 😁👌
Hi Carmel, stainless spring steel is what I used in the video. Spring steel is just a term for metal that has been hardened and tempered, not to be confused with tool steel. Which most people think is called spring steel, but It's just a term. Thanks bud👍😊
awesome I drew mine out on paper first I use a clothes hanger for my wire as to the weight I use part of a bolt by the longes bolt I can find and cut the head off I drill a hole through part of it I don't have long drill bit to drill all of the ways throw it the length I want it to be I drill a wire size hole on the side were I want to cut it off I white my end I bend over to lock it in to have slot for it to set into did use stainless rod but got way out of hand for the rod price In one of my jobs I work one bolt supple of bolts I need to use I make my spinner bodies this way too

Thanks Brother, glad to help out! Have fun, see you on the beach 😁👌
Thank you. I saw one of these in use and wondered how they were made and used. Your tutorials answered both questions clearly.
