I’m from the US and have never owned an Alvey reel but when I was a kid and surf fished out of Hatteras NC there was a guy that used them regularly. I was fascinated by them and he caught many big red drum with them.

How do you bolt it all to the boat? Do you need another poly base?

Every Time! Driving in the mountains there is only a couple of passing spots. They are scared when we can't pass on the corners. Then hug balls on the only straightaway. I don't care if you want to go 15 mph under, but let me by. I want to feel the turns, maybe twice the mph on the beautiful mountin bends. It was an unspoken rule that if you get three or more piled up behind you, then you find a shoulder to pull over on.

Unless you can weld or know a welder who is happy to do the work for a fee. It’s not a deal breaker for me, rather just an extra cost to make the tub seaworthy. It’s not the end of the world if you own a boat with a few cracks, your wallet won’t be pleased though 😂

I found that if you maintain one speed the stupid packs of cars will pass you then you will pass them this will go back and forth multiple times but at the end you save twice as much fuel as them 👍

I'm in the U.S. and I have been using this pulley rig for a year now. and I use this rig specifically for shark fishing and I can throw pretty far with this setup with a big cut bait. and yes, I have caught some huge shark on this setup with no problems and they were all caught off the piers. another great setup I learn from you guys is the up and over. 👍

Yes, you are right about the dodgy welds on a Quintrex.

The Daiwa Double Clutch just made it to New Zealand earlier this year, caught brown trout, rainbow trout, and redfin perch with it (48 and 60). Quite pricey for an average fisherman, but this lure catches FISH! It casts like unreal for such light weight, and there are so many different retrieve techniques applicable to this lure. Great video mate!

Another good tip is a 1/2 oz or so ball sinker up in the head of the lure instead of that welding tip.

This is ridiculously over powered. And he's not landing many large sharks either. Think he said he's got 800 yds total line. You will lose whatever fish 95% of the time if they have that much line out

I purchased the 115l brass monkey 2024. I have owned it niw for 1 year ! I have both solar input at 14v and I have a generator input supplying 14.5v This fridge has never ever ever frozen a single bottle of water. It never ever stood cutting out with the f1 display! Worst choice I could have made.. The smaller the fridge the more efficient! This 115l weighs literally a tonne! It's so heavy and it's so big! My 2 other little fridges work perfe try, freeze everything I put in.. This brass monkey has never ever reached iits-10 setting and never ever frozen anything. I am a mechanic and auto electrician is my trade so I have gone through everything to come to the conclusion its jyst a.peice of Chinese crap! Whe ever you do don't buy one 👍
