How to install baseboard trim
Underrated video here, I’ve seen Spencer Lewis and Richard from inside carpentry. I was thinking he was simply going to echo what they have done already, but no!!!! He’s added a few more details. Thank you for sharing your talent.
Fantastic videos! Each one so far has been awesome but this was such a pleasant surprise! I had know idea there were so many solid techniques to take something like baseboard to a whole other level! Impressive and professional. These seem like techniques that can really help guys stand behind the quality of their work. Thanks so much for sharing!

Unbelieveably awesome tips. I've done a diy install of baseboard and every one of your tips is proving to be useful. Could you please make a video on your miter saw setup/fence? Thanks!
I've watched your carpentry tips over on IG for years. Excellent work.
Thank you buddy you're a saver!God bless you.

Hello! I've been watching you for years now and using many of your tips--or showing them to my husband so he can use them on our home projects. Thank you for all of your awesome, helpful videos! At the 16:40 mark, you mention eventually having a video to show a method for lining up the dowel holes. We're trying to do a better job on our baseboards, so we vote for that video if it's in the running for a near future one! Regardless, thank you again for all your great carpentry and video work!
Worked that coping foot like a boss!!
Dude, you're some kind of wizard!
I’ve been following you on IG for a little while. Thank you so much for all of your videos, they have helped me on multiple occasions on a Job site. I am also really enjoying these long format videos. Full of great tips.
Best video on the subject I’ve seen!
Wow awesome video! Thank for all the great tips! You have made my work much easier this week
Beautifully explained! Thank you
I’ve always wondered if there were a better alternative to scarf joints on long runs of base moulding. I dig the dowels and butt joint method! Gonna have to try that when I come across that.
SO many useful tips in this video! Thank you - I’ve come a subscriber! 😊
Killer video I can’t wait to see the doweling of them!!!!
*Welcome back*
Wow, you've got such good control of the jig saw. I don't know how you get the blade to bite, and cut straight when you start against the edge of the board like that
These videos are so helpful.
Can't wait for the Crown Tips 😊
Profesional status!
WOW...great techniques/tips.
Man I want to try coping but there's no way my hand is steady enough to cut it that clean. This is incredible stuff.
You can use a jigsaw to cut excess material then sand the rest.
Excellent how to video. Definitely made me subscribe to your channel. Keep it up!
Anyone else pocket screw baseboard together when possible? Started doing it recently and love the results
Sounds like a sturdy joint! Do you bother filling in the pocket holes with dowels to strengthen the joint in case of somebody hitting it just right, or don’t bother?
@@PabloEskimofo I don’t bother but you could. I CA glue the joint first on a flat surface (mainly work with MDF) then screw together. Joint is strong and once painted, you can’t see it
@@samgriffin6221 I like that idea, I’ll have to try it sometime. Thanks!
Great video thanks for sharing!
Awesome video. Do you have a tutorial on how to add the dowels to connect two pieces of baseboard together?
You are my master 👍✌️
Thank you
Great video
Great job great video
Hum
On the show molding I use a belt sander the front roller works perfectly.
On crown or large base grinder with flapper disc.
As a self employed finish carpenter 8 have find fast means to get the project done.
I watch others to learn better ad more efficient methods
This would have saved a lot of no more gaps when I did mine a few years back 🤣 question on the pressure fit copes, what happens when the timber expands? Do you have issues with bases popping off?
No jigsaw I ever used cut that clean!
Thank you for the great videos. What was the reason you coped both ends of the shoe moulding at the end?
Fantastic video, thank you.
Do you cope or miter flat base?
can you do a tutorial of what to do when the drywall is really proud to the doorjamb??? i would like to see your solution
Great tutorial. I have a few questions. What if you're using mdf and need to do a scarf joint? Is it easy to insert dowels into mdf? If not and you have no choice but to do a 45 cut to add two large pieces together, what if the clearance is too small for the tall baseboard and you can't cut the board vertically?
You are a fucking wizard. So happy you’re making videos, I’ve been waiting for you to do this all the other guys are kind of trash by comparison.
Where did you get the plate for your jigsaw? That will be so much easier than the flat ones they come with to make cope cuts!
Just search for coping foot. There are a few of them.

Followed you on IG and constantly amazed at the skills. Thanks for sharing your knowledge!
What type of jigsaw do you use? I saw its a Makita. What model? I like it because it doesn't look bulky.
what blades do you use for yourjigsaw when you're coping?
Just bought a dw716 and I’m having trouble with the fence. The one piece part is straight and square to the table, however the sliding fences are not square to the table and also somewhat out of plane with each other. Is this something that I can correct by putting wood auxiliary fences on or should I send the saw back?
Pro
Dude just use the miter saw to cut the straight part for your cope
Unfortunately I do not understand your language 😢 Im trying to understand what it is that you're explaining.
