Alright, so I’m not really a referee but I got asked to ref a spring game. How do you think I did?
Mate you did fine! When you are giving the advantage of play signal it with your hands immediatly so its clear to everyone (both arms straight infront shaped like v). Also try to position yourself so the play is between you and your linesman.
Coach Javi t
As a referee in New Zealand My only coaching point is to get a few yards closer to play. When there is a tough decision player may not argue as much. The belief is that you may have seen something. Great game.
From the clips you weren't really running so...that could have been better
A little far away from the action when you were supposed to be is my only prob
FIFA 20, referee mode.
_u2ez_ That’s what I want in fifa 20
_u2ez_ that would actually be really cool
That's the only way that game will continue to innovate. Otherwise all you're paying for every year are new player stats and "champions league modes".
Thats a really good idea
Wow 630 likes that’s crazzzzy
"Are you serious"
"Yup very serious, that's why I called it"
LMFAO this ref is hilarious
Zachary Graham bruh right when I was reading this comment the audio for that played💀
I was the kid who recognized you on the pitch, stoked you put me in the video!
Where do you play?
Luis Wilson Stalker 😑
@@commanderstop5943 It was only a joke!
KevtheProphet haha nice man, good luck with college
Luis Wilson I was picked up as a striker, but transitioned to the wing
Not easy being a ref. He is part of the sport, and we all should respect em more!
Bobby my man
Big fan Bob
But most make stupid decisions
@@scipzxr6 fuck off just because your a united fan
Everyone respects a ref who doesn’t make shit decisions
*he’s just unstable ref*
😂
I love a ref who lets the game flow with the use of advantage. Well done.
Even though he didn't call it correctly? I like his idea, the execution is lacking. He's too far from the play most of the time and will thus cause doubt with the players. He then proceeds to not use the proper hand gestures on multiple occasions, which causes more confusion. Oh and also he started play a few times when not all players where ready. I did like him when he moved that wall though.
@Woop Evidently not. And the standard nowadays should be that all refs are qualified or at least have prior experience.
I once told the ref to go ahead give me a yellow card and the bastard actually did 🙃
krчgσs lmao tru
depends what happened before and how he said it. Pretty funny tho
Were you trying reverse psychology or something lmao

Bruhhhhh u made me laugh😂😂😂😂😂
Imagine a story mode on fifa but for a ref, like when something happens u have a few options for foul, advantage or play on or something like that
What does advantage do
@@Aden068 the team that did the foul isn't allowed to touch the ball for a few seconds, else it's a free kick
That would be cool but in the real game it really isn't an option if they foul and the flow continued it is advantage which is play on if he says play on there a few seconds for the player who fouled to keep the ball if they took the ball before the seconds then it changes to a foul
Nice but you wouldn't survive refereeing British Sunday league games lol
True true
you can say that again lmao
Colchester United fan (sorry that my team beat you guys 4-0)
Or the German Kreisliga
True
The referee's in Germany are like 65 Years old and don't have any senses for fun
mit nem Bierbauch
Hahaha ist echt so
I had an old German referee on my 8th grade team who was adamant that goalkeepers say "Keeper" or "Mine" instead of "I got it". Like, it was part of his pregame.
Well I'm 19 and a ref in Germany. When you get the old refs you probably play in the Kreisliga, because most of us younger ones are refs in the somewhat higher leagues.
Like if coach Javier is a better than VAR
Gustavo Fonseca ye
Way better
With what's happening now in LaLiga, yep much better
5:12 that was a foul tbh
nah
Yeas
Yup
it was but blue team had advantage so play kept going. but since blue lost the advantage in like 5 seconds the ref gave them the foul. idk if that makes sense i suck at explaining 🙃
@@dash15yearsago67 ur actually right bro, nice explanation
As a referee in England, this video is interesting to watch because it shows how different the players react to decisions and how different the play is in general. Even pre match and after the match, How much more social it is! Great video!
Well the red and white team know the coach and he knows them so if they say something mean he will make them run laps next practice
I was thinking that when they gave the ref a drink and played out a foul they'd disagreed on, imagine the outrage from Sunday league fans or even worse, parents in England after watching the other team being friendly with the ref at half time.
2561ism I mean the actual literature
It’s funny because when Greeks take over an American men’s league all it is is fights and dirty fouls and just comical to watch
I should point out that this game was basically an off-season friendly match, so the players here weren’t concerned about the outcome very much. Had this game been a competitive match during the season, the players and coaches would be a lot more focused and less friendly to the referees after a questionable call.
That being said, I do think players and coaches in the US tend to be a bit less critical of referees than other countries. Incidents do happen on occasion, but not often. I’ve never personally seen a player or coach have to be pulled away from a referee here.
You were too far away from the play. Need to be closer to the play and then u can make better calls.
I think it was the perspective of the camera that makes the play look that far away, I think he was positioned fine.
Are you a parrot or something?
I got you good huh
Aidan Scarcella kid he isn’t a real referee because if u were smart enough to check the description
Adam Landy Bamboozled
The Mexican Sunday league I’m in, games have been canceled because players have tried beating up the ref 🤦♂️
@Mattack Are you good fam wtf?
No wonder Trump wants to build a wall
Irish Red you are funny
@@faithsternadel2932 cheers
Irish Red This guy
These “first person” perspective videos are great as there are not many of these on RUclips and non football. As a result of this I SUBSCRIBED!
Congratz to 1 Million Views, you really deserved this!
It's so nice to see this. It turns out that refereeing is similar all over the world :)
Please keep posting as often as you can. Your a big inspiration!
That Sunday afternoon sunny cool match is the best feeling ever
Love how he takes the heckling from the players
Whether you are qualified or not, it was a quite interesting video for me cuz I’m scheduled to be trained from 19th Jan as an unqualified referee to get official certificate. This made me to prepare what I need to do next. Thanks.
Lol that quote at the end 😂
Finally know what a referee perspective looks like great video
Jesus Franco you could watch real Madrid vs all star ref view
can we hit 1 mil subs with no vids oh yeah I don't watch mls stuff but I guess
@Andy Carroll have you read the description?
6:03 that's the circus song XD
You are an amazing ref well done dude
The biggest mistake you made here was constantly yelling “play on.” Many referees make this mistake as well. Play on should not be said when you don’t think some contact was a foul. When you play advantage, you wave your arms and yell play on, and by doing so your acknowledging a foul has occurred, but the team that was fouled benefits more by allowing play to continue. By constantly yelling play on, you’re essentially telling the players a foul occurred which is incorrect. It’s a minor thing, but something an assessor would most definitely criticize you for.
jjhhaarrddyy as a ref you give an advantage to a team if they benefit from continued play. In the video the ref gave an advantage and the other team immediately got the the ball. He should have called foul for some of them.
Why the hell is a player being allowed to wear something that looks like a watch.
It is used for heart rate, fatigue and more, high level football clubs use it at some friendly games so they can see how much players ran, and as I said heart rate and more
It’s a preseason game who cares
looked like he had a rubber cover around it so it wouldn’t hurt anyone
I thought that the clickbait was Gordon Ramsey 😂💀
Nicely done! I’m reffing tomorrow. Was that old? Main man, Isak was in there. Hope he’s doing well!
Billy Hester good luck billy! Yeah that was an old video I hadn’t released! He’s doing good man he’s working hard as usual!
Where is the swearing and the fights?
I think I might have watched this video three times now.
Inspirational quote at the end💙
"You haven't seen much of anything." 🤣🤣🤣🤣💀💀💀💀💀🤣🤣🤣🤣
This was D1 vs D3
Prove it
D3 is often better mate, D1 just means they spend more money
@@fishsticks248 I'm sorry, but this made no sense
@@Ahmed-ny1xc to be a D1 college you need to invest a certain amount of money into your sports program. That's how colleges join the D1 system. Now obviously since the invest so much money into sports they are usually better but sometimes D2 or D3 schools can be better than D1 schools
Beni billhardt NAIA aswell
How did you film this? Great video!
Get a pealess whistle, they're so much easier to blow and the sound is louder and more distinct
Me and refs don't get along was on the field 10 seconds or less and got a red card lol
Wow you're so badass
I'm 100% positive that that happened...
Why does he stand in the same place all game
Que buen video , deberías hacer más así
The player dirinking lean instead of water 3:44
What were you using to record the game?
I'd like to have you ref my games 😂 you at least let play go on for both teams lol
That’s Gardener Webb! I live near there! Nice!
how did u do the camera set up?
Any chance I am able to send a highlight reel to you guys? I’m from Australia and want to play college football/soccer
2:13 tho
Love the video
This might be a dumb question but can u get signed for a real team if u play for college
D1 pitch looks like my middle school pitch
Omg this ref is way bette than my other refs! He actually talks and explains why and what happened when there is a foul. My other refs do these hand signals that no one knows.
Wish they have this in every pro match. Next thing after VAR.
Coach javi best ref and coach
That coach with his carmex 😂
Road to 100k for coach
How much u get paid to do this game
Very good video. Soccer is really great to watch. 🙂
Some good refereeing, played on a lot
Football looks so calm over there. In England I ref under 14s and I stay far away from the players at halftime 😂
So professionel this ref I liked this video very much 👍
D1 Team and they don't have a turf field? Is that normal?
I'm a left back and in one game I somehow got brutally fouled 3 times (2 karate kicks and a very late challenge) by the same guy yet he didn't get booked
Damn.
Keep it up I like your videos
Javi youre spanish or english
Sir you were amazing
Wish you were the ref in my matches all the refs are 16 and call offside when the attacker is 8 yards of
Are you at Gardner webb
You from New Zealand??
The amount of disrespect the ref gets every game 💀
Unrealistic, didn’t mention the 30+ minutes to find the HQ tent because it’s in a completely different spot then it usually is.
This ref is so good
Well I guess this is the new VAR.
Ivwas playing an English Sunday league game an the othe team score an our keeper just full on drop kicks there stricker 🤣😂
the quote at the end though..........lol
Great my dad is a coach
Was this at Gardner Webb?
I need to see this cause the reffs have usually trigger me.
When I was 13 the parents on the other opposition was abusing our team so when it was a corner instead of kicking it I kicked it at this parent that all game was shouting and abusing us and the ref sent me off and the parent got no warning some referees are so annoying and blind
Coach Javi es mexicano?
Literally a more exciting career mode than FIFA 19
That fucking Arnold clip 🤣😂😭👌🏽
Soccer? It's football 😎👍
5:12 to soft to be a foul
Do more!!!!!!
Good calls to be honest, good use of advantage.
These players and coaches are so much more chilled than British players and coaches
Once I was running and I got a red card and I don't touch any one
Good decisions but one tip, use hand signs instead of saying stuff, like youre not supposed to say play on, youre supposed to show IT with signs
The best refree in the world!!!
This man needs to ref in world cup
What ever happened to the day in the lives of Players?
I was a ref in the Romanian 2nd for a year or two. No joke.
Many videos recorded from the front of the referee, I am the referee, NEVER BEFORE SEE, directly on my channel subscribe ruclips.net/channel/UCBSu7_Lcfxul7ULLx1q7I5w
Have you heard the debate that NCAA D1-D3 are similar in quality but different only in size?
Manuel Meza D3 suck compared to D1
a good d3 can beat a d1. theres no difference between divisions in terms of skill. d3 has no athletic scholarships available vs d1. d3's are typically smaller but not always.
@@PwngeBdaman I would disagree there is a big difference between d3 and d1 in soccer skills. I do agree that a top 5 maybe top 10 in the nation would beat or tie a lower d1 team maybe.
what about d2?
@@ebanz171 D2 very respectable league top 25 beat d1 teams all the time. Cardinal Stritch #14 (Naia/d2is) in the nation just beat Marquette #22 (d1) in the nation 3-0. But overall d1 has more skilled players and more players that go pro.
Watching this game, u did rrly well.
But tbh I was just shocked at how civilised the older boys play in America compared to the under15 girls ind Scotland ahha no violence like what
To be fair, this is a spring game. Usually they are more like organized scrimmages, sometimes the same team split into two sides to play each other. Like if Man U starters decided to play their reserves for scrimmage.
Go good vid
I feel like a referee runs more than a player lmao
100% we do
Not to be mean but you’re barely moving from the centre circle. Get closer to the play.
The quote at the end xD
What was the score
