    Revealing the power of koala and your koala workflow like this may change lives. You may inspire people, young and old, to make music and to enjoy the process like never before. And in doing so, perhaps allowing them to feel something inside they never really felt before in their music making process. Thank you for sharing the love.

    Great video, I have a question: why resample the bass line when it sounds the same with midi notes on the piano roll? Doesn't leaving it in the form of midi notes give you more capability to change it later? Thanks for the video

    • @nervouscooks
      @nervouscooks  9 месяцев назад +1

      I only do it for the video usually to keep everything on screen and easy to follow. I want the viewers to see the audio clips in case I’m moving them around. If I were building a proper track I wouldn’t. I’d keep the flexibility of midi 👍🙂

    How do you use your 4 bar raw beats after you make them? Are you using them in a live dj set or building songs in a daw based on these koala built ideas? Or do you create them just for practice or the fun of going through the process. I’m curious what you typically do with them.

    This is great, but what do you do if you want the the drums to have a change up? In all my years of making beats, I’ve never used only one pattern. When building songs with vocals, you gotta have a change up right? Maybe I’m just an old fart, at this point.

    • @nervouscooks
      @nervouscooks  Год назад +2

      I would just use another pattern, I could program it in the same sequence or a different one. I could then play between the sequences or if you drag a sequence onto another one you can add to the end of that sequence. Bear in mind these videos are what I’d call sketches… they are just ideas and a quick way of putting out a video. If I were to build a full track from these there would be a lot more switch ups etc. I’m not suggesting these are finished tracks! 🙂

      Thanks there are a few different apps for playing the drums on the iPad but I don’t have a lot of experience with them. I’m using koala sampler here which is great because you can put any sound on to the pads but it might be a bit advanced for kids. Just search drums in the App Store and see what looks like it will suit your needs.

I expected either some sort of Californian drawl or one of those heavy Londoner accents (I'd be more specific but I'm Australian and I don't remember which part of London). It's nice to hear people with full arm tats speaking well and being obviously intelligent. Helps break the stereotypes!
