This is of cours completly a matter of taste, but if the goal is to emual a real drummer, consider not playing a highat, a snare and a crash together, since a drummer only has two sticks. Also leaving the highhat out at that instance will introduce more variation in the beat and might make it more interesting :)

thanks for the explanation on adjusting the Q value. I noticed that if I do that to the high and low shelf filters, a "B/W" icon replaces "Q" after a certain point. any idea what that means?

I’m having trouble with long samples… if I have a 16 bar long sample that is triggered on step one and note length at max… I can’t stop the sample playback or have it play long enough I.e longer that 16 bars… I’m starting to find the Moves limitations.. and mine.

I've made the same resolution but I also made a few music tech related resolutions so I don't have to stress about obsessing over gear. 😂 Specifically, for instance, I've got some project goals around enhancing older equipment by embedding raspberry ps or ESP32 chips in it to give it file syncing capabilities or web interface. Not sure if there will be space but adding more up would be pretty sweet too. It's a great learning experience and I need an excuse to buy a 5000 this year. Lol

Gear for content is a trap even for those who get it sent to them, I'd say, because without realising your platform could become a showcase for brands where you become almost a secondary character. Hope you keep doing your thing. I'd use the content you like to do to attract more people if possible for example use edits of your raw beats in shorts or insta. So you are not forced into juggle a ton of diferent things but maximizing across platforms what you already have. Just throwing thoughts on here

Yeah, that's about it for me this year. I'm focusing on what I enjoy, rather than trying to please others. I recently got my hands on a used Ableton Push 2 and Live 12, so I'm excited to dive deeper into Ableton. Like many of us, I've accumulated more gear, DAWs, and sounds than I need. My wife hates seeing something collect dust that I "had to have." So, I'm streamlining this year and using the stuff that brings me joy. I'll be learning more through RUclips and Groove 3, and putting out music. I'm using Ruby-based tools to build my website and backend. I prefer Ruby over the latest technologies. I want to enjoy learning, making things, and sharing them with others.

Congratulations, having raised two children, I can assure you that this is the greatest thing that can happen to you in your life. Keep up the great work with your channel!
