I always bring the Ghost 13 GTX with me as an all round travel shoe. I can walk, run and do day hikes in it. Plus they keep my feet dry with moderate rain or small puddles.
This is what I’m looking for as an Traveling RUclipsr…Shoe as a weapon to fight against my weak Legs having Achilles Tendonitis…Took an Oath of challenge to showcase the Beauty of Earth in most possible way with strong will power…Cleaning…Appreciatable work…Earned my respect from the distinct part of the world…
The Brooks 14 is what made me decide to try something new. Have been using Brooks for many years, and this was my 4th or 5th pair of Ghosts. The quality is abysmal. They lasted less than 200km/5months before the sole wore down, and I had serious tears in the upper material. Cushioning also started going within a month. I don't know what they changed to decrease the durability that much, but I am very disappointed.
Oh gosh. That is awful. That really is not the Brooks experience I would expect. I'm now using a ghost 14 but only have 75km so can't comment. To me this sounds like a completely duff shoe. Do you still have it? If so, contact Brooks immediately. (You can always reach out to me privately on my Instagram.. @wayeoflife ). Jeez.. awful
@@markhill8590 the 14s currently have only 300 on them. And I am riding with some 15s also. The 14 I fully expect the same 1000km with them.. but, I would recommend the 15 over the 14. Only subtle updates but I think the 15 is my favourite so far
@@WayeOfLife I'm currently using the 14s they really are a solid shoe not many miles on them, I was thinking off getting another pair to replace them but I'm not sure if another pair would actually be needed because the ghosts have done everything from a 18 mile run to a 5k. Was looking at going back to Hoka shoes but I'm unsure what to do as they seem abit more bulkier
@@markhill8590 yeah. It really is a versatile shoe.. some of my brooks teamies use it for the marathon instead of a more specialised site as they know it can just get the job done without stress. However I do recommend having different shoes in rotation. They last just as long but give your feet a different dynamic to work with and help strengthen them
The Glycerin 20 is awesome. Currently got around 280km in my pair. It is a more cushioned shoe, maybe slightly less versatile in terms of do everything (but only ever so slightly), and it is a good sign that I find myself having to force myself not to use it (so that I can use my other shoes haha).I will get another few hundred Kms in it and then do a review so that I have a good idea over durability. The ghost 15 just came out which looks like a nice progression of the ghost line up. As a brooks ambassador I don't get too much control in the shoes they give us, but I really hope they send a pair in the new year.

Great idea!

Trust me. The Dutch like to do it too🙄
@@WayeOfLife cheers sir. I love the Brooks Ghost too. I have the 11,12 and 13 but i may most probably get the Glycerine 20 as the next brooks for me
