Hippolyte Bouchard, a fleet admiral for Argentina during its war of independence against Spain, made use of Filipinos during his naval attacks against several Spanish colonies. Filomeno V. Aguilar Jr. in his paper: “Manilamen and seafaring: engaging the maritime world beyond the Spanish realm”, stated that Hippolyte Bouchard's second ship, the Santa Rosa, the other being La Argentina, which had a multi-ethnic crew, included Filipinos.[6] Mercene, writer of the Book “Manila Men”, proposes that those Manilamen were recruited in San Blas, an alternative port to Acapulco, Mexico; where several Filipinos had settled during the Manila-Acapulco Galleon trade era. The Filipinos who settled in San Blas were escapees from Spanish slavery in the Manila Galleons, upon meeting Hippolyte Bouchard who worked for the Argentinians that revolted against Spain, the common grievance the Filipinos shared against the Spaniards, which they had with the Argentines caused them to mutiny and join the rebel Argentines

So did the asians leave a genetic impact on certain parts of mexico ?? I read somewhere there was asian slaves of different origins throughout mexico and there was apparently many filipino merchants throughout the mexican west coast .and only few Mexicans will have it show up in ancestry tests at trace amounts on commercial autosomal dna tests ive noticed .
Not all Asians arrived as slaves. Many arrived as free people who were simply just working. Contrary to popular belief, Nueva España wasn't a majority slave society. The vast majority of people were free, and the enslavement of Asian people was ended in the early 1600s. Most lived in the areas around Acapulco and Mexico City.
There are Mexicans that have asian ancestry but not just from slavery many came to mexico during ww2 and another wave of asians later on. Mexicans with asian ancestry have no idea they have asian ancestry everybody alwasy thinks the asian eyes or asian features is from the indiginous people but the reason is because most asians got rid of their asian names for spanish for fear of xenophobia or being put in concentration camps. Asian blood shows up for along time a lot as its a dominant race blood profile.
This is a fairly simple concept when you trace genetic lines back a decent bit. Pretty much all "native american" people are asian by ancestry...not native to The Americas...same as everyone else just at different periods in time.

According to the Laws of the Indies, there was an exception to the rule that the indigenous people could not be enslaved. If a group of indigenous people rebelled against Spain, they could be enslaved. If the rebellion was serious, they would kill all the men and enslave the women and children. The Spanish and Mexicans would often trade/buy/sell Indian slaves with the Comanches in what is now the state of New Mexico. The indigenous tribe now known as the Genizaros are the descendants of such slaves. Also, Manila had one of the largest slave markets in all of Asia. And many Hispanic settlers from the Americas brought over their Native American slaves over to the Philippines when they migrated over. Many Filipino sailors were actually Galleon slaves who jumped ship in the Americas, including St. Malo in what is now the state of Louisiana. The Spanish colonialists had a habit of sending trouble-makers from the American side of their empire to the Asian side and vice-versa. A lot of the descendants of these transferees were actually instrumental in the fight for independence of both Mexico and the Philippines. So the trafficking of indigenous slaves via the Galleon Trade went both ways.
The laws of Burgos made it illegal to enslave Catholic Natives. The New Laws of 1542 made it illegal to enslave any Native, including those caught in battle.
Thank you for the clarification of the Laws. Though illegal by the Crown, it was still practiced in the colonies clandestinely. To circumvent Spanish laws forbidding slavery, the purchaser (or rescuer) of a genízaro had the obligation to introduce them to Christianity and Spanish customs. (Wikipedia article on the Genizaros)

The Phillipins was part of New Spain today Mexico, and the trade between Acapulco Mexico and Manila by the Manila Galleon was for centuries, Phillipins travel to Mexico and Mexicans travel to Phillipins for centuries.
The Philippines was considered by Spain to be part of their Mexico colony, ruled from Mexico, for several hundred years. You can read this in Philippine history books.
They Spanish stood in the Filipina’s for 900 yrs
We were not a colony
Us Mexicans could've taken the Philippines for ourselves when we gained our independence. But we didn't want to be an oppressive empire unlike certain other ones.

Some of the most beautiful women I’ve met are Mexicans. Mexico has that exotic looking beautiful women that you can find no where else Mexican women can range from looking like a beautiful mix between Asian and White, to Native Indians mixed with Asians and White. Many Native Mexicans actually look Asiatic. Anyway, they have the best looking women in the world, in my opinion. Of course I might be biased because I was in love with a beautiful Mexican girl.
Theres a place here in the philippines we named after mexico. Thats mexico pampanga in the northern philippines.
And i heard theres a villa in mexico that many filipinos lives.
During the Ice Age period, the Mongoloid race that had lived 10,000 - 15,000 years ago in Siberia and Northeast Asia migrated from Northern East of Russia to Alaska. Then they traveled further down towards North America, Central America then South America.
Yes the Spanish, Portuguese and even Dutch had colonies in Asia, and they had international trade, and migration, as it is today. Mango, rice, chili, spice, railroads, oil.
I did a DNA thing and have zero Asian DNA. It says I have 50% Native American DNA. Its interesting because somedays I look indigenous and some days you cannot tell if I'm mexican or if I'm from another hispanic american country.
Native Americans came from Asia. If you didn't know.

I found out that my great-great-grandmother was East Asian and she migrated to Mexico I consider myself Mexican cuz I am the 5th generation, but it's nice to know make sense why a lot of our family members look Asian very beautiful mix ❤
The mango tree was brought by the Spanish from the Phillipines to Mexico and so was chamoy.
I think the Lime was too.

Boxing was brought to the Philipines by Mexicans.
Chamoy has its origins in China but yes it was brought to Mexico via Philippines as was the lime.

The spanish used native mexicans in the conquest of Philipines.
Manila ended up like a hub from pirates (some of them Ronin samurais) trying to conquest placea like Cambodia, imagine, europeans, mexicans and samurais fighting together. I AM FROM SPAIN.
Took the DNA test. Filipino w/ Indigenous American (Indio) heritage that traces back to Zacatecas, Michoacan & Jalisco. There was a long history of migrations on both sides of the Pacific.
Oral history in the family tells us that we descended from a criollo who lived in Camiguin Island. I believe this person was not a white dude in my understanding I could be wrong. Both Indigenous American and Spanish/Portuguese heritage resulted from the same generation. I think (could be wrong) that’s how Indigenous American or Indio heritage manifested in our result. My father and I always pass for hispanic here in the states and Canada so this is not much of shocker.
It affirms that the Americas is also our ancestral home. Visiting Mexico is in the bucketlist.
I learn something every day. Praise be to God and thank you too sir. Muchos gracias.
When I watched "American Me", I was surprised one of the characters looked totally Asian.
Haha, finally making sense!!
“Open your eyes vato!!”
Am american of Mexican ancestry my dna says I'm 64% native American and 3% east Asian and 28 %. Iberian people have have said i look korean, Filipino, japanese, i do look native American
When you look at the map of the world, you will see that virtually or most of the land mass, if put together, would fit like a puzzle. That would make the America's to be connected to China/the east original, before the continental divide spoken of in Genesis 10:25. This is why the indigenous Indians look Asian. Interesting topic to explore.
This explains also why there are some filipinos I've seen who got native/indigenous american dna in their dna results. Interesting.
Spanish empire traded with west pacific countries via the philippines that was governed via mexico, the reason why the spaniards had the largest ships in the world the gallions. The ships had to travel through two oceans the atlantic and pacific oceans, No surprise that people from these two regions would intermingle via this spanish trade route.
This explains why I get along with Mexicans so well.
It is the result of intermarriage of the Filipino seafarers to the local Mexican women. The chinos seafarers got attracted to beautiful Mexican ladies and wanted to live or settle to raise a family in the new settlement in the early days of Spanish rule in Mexico.
Never heard of this.
The concept of Fusang refers to the idea that Chinese Buddhist priests discovered America in the 5th century, long before Christopher Columbus’s famous voyage in 1492. This theory was first proposed by French scholar Joseph de Guignes in 1761 and gained popularity in the 19th century.

The traditional dress China poblana was actually a lady from the Phillipines who lived in Puebla Mexico in the 1700s
wasnt it from an enslaved noblewman from india?
Yes I believe it! People from Arizona, New Mexico and texas look like people from Guam who have Spanish heritage
The manila Acapulco galleon trade waaay back then. So there's bound to be mexicans descendants nowadays that would have Filipino blood.
Native Americans are from South East Asia and migrated during ice age through Russia and Alaska.
No, they are Mongoloid.
I don't think you understood this video. This is about recent Asian DNA. Watch it again until it makes sense.
Native Americans would debate that. They say they have no Russian, Siberian, or any other Asian DNA.
Negative
Long live the Mighty Mongoloids!
This is a fairly simple concept when you trace genetic lines back a decent bit. Pretty much all "native american" people are asian by ancestry...not native to The Americas...same as everyone else just at different periods in time.
I am very sure I have Asian ancestry I am from Guerrero Mexico there was a lot of Asians in Guerrero Mexico
Also can you make a video in the future on converso jews and the impact on mexico
You should talk about the Diasporas in Mexico like the Germans in chihuahua the French in the Bajío and Veracruz the Lebanese in the Yucatán and Cdmx the British miners in Hidalgo the polish in Guanajuato the Italians in Puebla and so on

(Wikipedia article on the Genizaros)
manila never had a slave market. where the hell are you getting your info?

After the quelling of the first wave of insurgents, 2 soldiers who were Filipinos born at Mexico, specifically Guerrero State, Francisco Mongoy and Isidoro Montes de Oca were commanders of Vicente Guerrero in the continuing independence war against Spain, this is according to researcher, Ricardo Pinzon

Fact. Their DNA have traced back to East Asians, to about 10 thousands years ago. Look for that article in the National Geographic magazine a few years ago.
North and Latin America can trace their roots back to Asia!
Migration happens 40,000 plus years ago !
Excellent video because the Americas is the other asia whether anyone likes or not. However, I believe the state of Puebla have a stronger asian characteristics. The people there are called china pronounced(Cheena)pueblana for female or chino Pueblano for male. They have strong asiatic features. Mexico like, Ecuador, Paraguay, Peru, Bolivia, El Salvador, Nicaragua etc etc are predominately indigenous people and part of the asian family not mestizo ( half Hispanic and Injun) that"s a cop out.
Native Americans still consider Asian tho cause migration from Siberia
I've met many Spanish people who have slanted eyes but still different from asians.
Because all natives descent from asians through the Bering Asian
