    Wicked job on matching up that color, cant even tell the difference between the actual rock and what you have created. Also nice to see something completely different from the other builds you have done in the past.

    Wish I had waited another day before starting by first build and watched this but have all the foam carved out already, luckily it's not my pythons forever home so I can put this one down to practice and learning ......love your builds mate, if I lived closer I'd get you to build me one but to far and shipping would cost a fortune!! keep up the amazing builds!!

    LOVE your builds and videos. Inspiration overload. May i please ask what the red handled tool used is called and where you get the mini blow torch? Also was that gorilla glue you use between foam sheets? THANK YOU

    • @Cambart1
      @Cambart1  2 года назад +1

      Thank you. It’s a hot wire foam cutter. Can get them on eBay for about $30
      Mini blow torches can be purchased from hardware stores.
      Yes I use the gorilla glue but the selleys polyurethane would be a similar product.

      Thanks. The light is just an LED batten light from Bunnings. Cheap as and bright as

    Quick question if I may? You use pointing to cover your foam that's not a product used here that I can find. Is it just sanded tile grout or motar?

    • @Cambart1
      @Cambart1  2 года назад +2

      No it’s not. It’s a more flexible/waterproof compound designed to set and seal roof tiles. Wall and floor tile grout works but you need to be consistent with the way you mix it and apply it. Once you’ve worked that out tile grout can be a great product to coat with.

    I really love your job, that’s amazing !
    What do you use to cover the foam ? Sort of cement without toxic things ?

    • @Cambart1
      @Cambart1  2 года назад

      It’s a product roof tilers in Australia use to seal the ridge capping roof tiles. It’s. Flexible, durable and holds up to Aussie summer heat and colds

    • @Cambart1

      Thank you. It’s an insulation foam panel. More dense and stronger than polystyrene.

    Im getting a stimson python soon. If we were to collect rocks and branches from putside do we need to sterilise the objects or is that not really necessary also does the enclosure have to be strictly desert or can it be more like the outback and bushland

    • @Cambart1
      @Cambart1  2 года назад

      Awesome mate I love my stimmy.
      I don’t sterilise anything I get from outside I just make sure it’s got no mould or fungus, bugs and is dry. I then just wash it off and leave it to dry.
      The way you set it up is entirely up to you. I just research where the animals natural habit is and try and replicate that.

    Do you know any of the native plants that would look good in an enclosure like that? I want to make something like that for my spotted Python but I’m not sure what grasses and plants to use

    • @Cambart1
      @Cambart1  2 года назад

      I have a spotted python build I have done which is also on my channel but I just used fake plants for it which turned out great.
      I haven’t had any luck growing grasses in a terrarium as yet

    • @TeaCupSimmer
      @TeaCupSimmer 2 года назад

      @@Cambart1 that’s understandable. I have a hognoses and a majority of her plants are native grasses and low lying plants. I just needed to give them time to establish before introducing her. I figured I’d need to give Australian native plants the same curtesy. I just can’t find any natives to use

    • @Cambart1
      @Cambart1  2 года назад

      It’s difficult to get Aussie natives to grow in enclosures. I have a mate who has tried and failed on multiple attempts. Not saying it’s impossible just will need a lot more research into it

    Do you use a thermostat for the basking spot hot side of enclosure for your python? Or do you not need one if you use a cage?

    • @Cambart1
      @Cambart1  8 месяцев назад

      Yeah I do. You should always use a thermostat for the protection of your animals. The cage is simply there to stop your animals burning itself by wrapping around or touching the heat source.

    • @Waonii
      @Waonii 8 месяцев назад

      @@Cambart1 Ok thank you, With the thermostat heat sensor probe Where would be the best spot to put it like would I put it in the cage or below on the rock basking spot?

    • @Cambart1
      @Cambart1  8 месяцев назад

      Generally you want the probe at the same level as your basking rock or spot. This will give accurate reading of temp right where your animal is. You can send me enclosure photos to my Instagram and I can assist you from there.
