      Me too. It is not done very logically. "A 1" has 2 different meaning, depending on what you selected 🙄
      In Start Times, A 1 means the first time to start the full program A.
      In Run Times, A 1 means station 1 will run for x minutes in program A 🙄
      Very confusing !

    • @Hunter_Industries

      Setting intervals to 1 will allow watering every day as will allowing it to water M, T, W, Th, F, Sa, Su. For watering a second time each day, set another run time.

    • @Hunter_Industries

      The X2 controller can operate one zone at a time. Some of our larger commercial controllers can operate multiple zones or stations at a time.

    Thanks for the help! Quick question, if I have 7 zones (A1-A7) how do I know which is coupled with which programs (A1-A4?)

    • @Hunter_Industries
      @Hunter_Industries  2 года назад +1

      Good question about programming. To check to see which zones are in your programs turn the dial to Run Times, and use the arrows to change between zones and the PRG button to change between programs. If a zone has a run length it is in the program.

    • @lepaul26
      @lepaul26 Год назад

      Since you talk about A, all 7 are in program A ...
      The A1 to A4 you talk about, are the start times of program A. So all your zones 1 to 7 will be sprayed for the time set for A1 to A7

      @@Hunter_Industries did they give me a bad timer? What I’ve noticed is the timer don’t have a 5th zone so I cannot control what time that turns on and what I also notice is the system would run for two cycles. Resulting in using more water. My water bill just came in and it went up too.

      I have a similar situation. I have 8 zones and they’re all under program A. So I can flip through and test A1-A8. That’s great and all, but I can only do start times for A1-A4. I’m so confused.

    • @savannahferguso
      @savannahferguso 3 года назад

      It’s because you only have 4 zones lol go out to your valve box open it up and count how many valves you have in it. There are two types of timers there is a Hunter X2 5 station and a Hunter X2 8 station. So let’s say you have 3 valves you will still have to have a 5 station timer installed bc they only come in two sizes. Or if you have 7 valves you still have to have to 8 station timer.

    Why would you do multiple programs? Why not just have 1 program?

    • @Hunter_Industries
      @Hunter_Industries  3 года назад

      Thank you for contacting Hunter Technical Support.
      Hunter controllers have multiple programs and the ability for each program to have multiple start times. You would want to use different programs if you would want to run separate stations (or zones) on different days..
      To set up each program, you would need to program START TIMES, RUN TIMES, and WATER DAYS for each program.
      Below is an example of programming multiple programs on a 4 station controller:
      Example:
      You have a 4 Station X-Core controller. (Your controller may be a different model, but the steps are the same). Your lawn stations are valves #1 and #2. Your shrubs stations are valves #3 and #4. You want the lawn stations to water Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 4:00 am and again at 6:00 am for 6 minutes per station. Then you want the shrub stations to water on Saturdays at 6:00 am for 10 minutes per station.

  • @portal753
    @portal753 3 года назад

    Hey, so in A1, the 1 stands for a specific station/zone and doesn’t stand for all the Station/zone in your house,, right?

    • @Hunter_Industries
      @Hunter_Industries  3 года назад +2

      Thank you for contacting Hunter Technical Support
      When the dial is in the START TIMES position, the A1 is for program A start time #1. You only need one start time programmed. Start times 2, 3, and 4 should say off unless you want to repeat the program.
      With the dial in the RUN TIMES position the A1 is for program A and zone #1. This is where you would enter the run time for each zone.

    Does X2 have a backup battery in case of an accidental power outage or will I have to reprogram the system?

    • @Hunter_Industries
      @Hunter_Industries  2 года назад +1

      Great question, the X2 controller has a non-replaceable 3V CR2032 lithium battery installed directly on the circuit board. The controller will immediately enter hibernation mode when AC power is unavailable. The battery backup keeps the current date and time during power outage conditions. The battery will last for approx. 5 years.

    How does "Sensor Bypass" work?

    • @Hunter_Industries
      @Hunter_Industries  2 года назад

      If the rain sensor is interrupting irrigation, you can bypass it by using the bypass switch on the front of the controller. Slide the switch to the SENSOR BYPASS position to disable the rain sensor from the system to allow for controller operation.

    Hello. Thanks for sharing the training video. I am setting up my greenhouses, crop field and lawns in Karachi, Pakistan and for me it is very interesting solution. However, i am generating electric power using solar panels approx 30kW. I know electric consumption depends on system size, that is why i want to know what variables are considered to determine electric power requirement? Also, you used term "Station" while explaining the system. Is every solenoid valve an station or every sprinkler?
