The scanning mat does NOT have a hole because the clear plastic cover is attached to the “bottom”, it will fall open. As you mentioned, you can’t put a hole at the top.

I went to buy the Brother ScanNCut SDX325F +12x12' Fabric Mat +USB&Wifi for XP2 XP3 w/My Connection+$840 Extras+1303 Designs and added the Brother ScanNCut CADXRBKIT1 ScanNCut Rotary Auto Blade Kit: Fabric and Applique Cutting Blade +Holder for SNC DX & SDX, World's Smallest Rotary Cutter to my order. I entered afterhours in the coupon area. It would not accept the coupon as the order needed to be $750. I added an accessory for this scanncut which totaled over $750, but it still would not accept the code.
