    Great video. As a beginner I would also recommend taking small notes of every match that you play. This way you will realize why you lost or won a game. When you play the same kind of deck later you know what you can expect and how to counter it. It's also a nice way to see how your skills are progressing over time.

    This is an AWESOME video. I’m pretty new to TCGs and I love one piece and trying to learn more about OPTCG so this opened my eyes to so many things! Hope to see more videos like this :)

    Things like ‘this turn vs this battle’ or triggers or when you can attack and counter and things like that are never explained in starter videos

    Thank you, this is really what i needed. It helps me to understand the basic fundamentals, how decks and also deck building works. I honestly just played on the sim some budget and meta decks. Playing them made me learn the game and also understand what the decks are trying to accomplish but i never undersatnd why some decks have blockers and how many and also how many 2k Counter creature are to many or to less. Really thank you, hope this knowledge will help on my preRealese.

      This may be a dumb question lol I’m new, but my local store has these prerelease events as well and I’m just curious what they are? Are they worth signing up for?

    • @MonkeyFightTCG
      @MonkeyFightTCG  3 месяца назад +1

      @dannygal3098 pre release events are sealed events where you are given packs to build a deck from. Then you play in a tournament with everyone else using these decks. Usually you bring whatever leader you want and they're all legal for the event.
      Overall I'd say it's super worth it. You get unique prizing and special promos for playing. Plus it's a very fun format.

    As a new guy into One Piece, this is still all Rocketscience for me. But this great video, will certainly help me out. Still undediced what deck I want to try out first.. Either Black or Red? What you guys think as first try.. Black or Red?

    • @MonkeyFightTCG
      @MonkeyFightTCG  4 месяца назад +1

      Red does a bit better next set and is easier to learn. But black is very strong right now and has more options for removal. Red right now you can play whitebeard and later on shanks. Black right now you can play rob lucci or gecko moria.

    Guys im completely new! Which starter deck would you guys recommend? Or would you recommend a starter deck at all or is it just better to buy booster packs? And also, Im 32 , are there any other „older“ guys here xD or am I just a big child xD

    • @MonkeyFightTCG
      @MonkeyFightTCG  3 месяца назад +2

      Buy singles online. That way you can always get what you need.
      Starter decks are good, but only if you'/re going to play the theme the deck supports. You need to buy 2 of that starter deck and will still have to look for upgrades elsewhere.
      I do a video series where I talk about and show some good decks to start with. i recommend looking at my most recent new player deck choice guide.

    • @MonkeyFightTCG

      You can check out a channel like egman events, you can look around for specific deck guides on youtube, or you can meet and play with people IRL.

      As a Vanguard player (Magnolia Masque main) I'd say that instead of a Vanguard copycat, it's more like a MTG/SVE clone, OPTCG is sadly more strategic than CFV (I blame restanders for ruining CFV)
