  • Another epic misadventure video on the Yamaha XT225 with my riding buddies at Eagle Creek Hare Scrambles Park in Corinth, KY. This is one of my favorite places to ride. We had a DRZ400SM, TW200, and brand new Honda CRF300L along for the ride.

    This channel is for motorcycle riders, mechanics, and enthusiasts who enjoy the simple joys of motorcycling, from dual sport riding to fixing up old bikes on a budget. My videos also consider the perspective of short motorcycle riders (when it’s helpful and relevant) in choosing and modifying bikes and equipment.
    I’ve been hooked on motorcycles since 1975 when, at the age of 11, my dad brought home a shiny new Suzuki TM75 for me and a Suzuki TC185 for himself so that we could trail ride together in the hills of West Virginia. Since then I’ve worked as a mechanic, owned countless bikes, and even worked in the motorcycle industry for a number of years as a photographer and journalist. Now I do mainly video production and enjoy nothing more than making and sharing these motorcycle videos on RUclips.
    Thanks again for watching. Ride safe!

    Nice one, Jimmy. In my `60`s with only a cruiser for now, but my 2nd bike would be a lightweight dual sport, so no hauling. I had a blast in my 20`s with my XL185.

      Thanks, Pete, and I love those XLs! Would love to find a nice XL185 one day.

    Another good one Jimmy. Can't wait to get my little Honda out on the trails! Hope your buddy's brakes were good - wouldn't want to have to go Fred Flintsone style with only one boot!!

      Ha! He seemed to manage okay with one footage and half a boot but, not gonna lie, I would've packed it in! Let me know how the Honda goes and thanks for the kudos.

      Had a good day out on the Honda finally! I ended up getting to the trails the one day and the darn thing wouldn't start! Frustrating as I'd checked it before I left...oh well - took it home and tore the carb apart, cleaned it out and she fired right up. The next day I was putting along and had a couple of nice deer stroll right across the trail in front of me - not alarmed at all. Gotta love a nice quiet bike sometimes.

    And that folks, is why you don't want a 700-pound bike with "Adventure plastic" on the trails. Your mates won't be able to help lift it over tree stumps LOL

      Exactly! If I had a 700 pound bike I probably would have left it there and walked home! 😂

    Jimmy. I live on the east side of Cincinnati in the Batavia area. Just purchased a TW200 to go along with my FJR1300. Getting ready to retire and looking forward to doing a little exploring. Have a couple of questions about the TW. Is there a way to reach out to you may by email?

    What tires were you riding on ?

    • @jimmytmoto
      @jimmytmoto  3 года назад

      50/50 dual sport tires, the Shinko 244 up front and Kenda K270 out back. They did well on the rocks, roots, and dry terrain and only the mud holes slowed them down!
