But if we are talking about splits, Gabby has a little better flexibility, not crazy better than Simone, but still a little more flexible. But Simone’s leaps are higher
I just want to see more of her. I was hoping she would become a coach now that she is no longer competing in gymnastics. She was a big asset to her country.

Her bars was the best I've seen her in qualifying. She didn't do as well in team finals on it yet she still scored the same. I think she should have scored a bit higher on bars too.

Agreed aly is amazing but she literally has never scored that high on bars. And anyone else that grabbed the beam wouldve been slaughtered by the judges. She's amazing on that vault and floor in rio.
Sunwear In qualifications you have to do all 4 events and based on the scores the top 10 go on to all around finals. Unless more than 2 qualify from a county qualify. If that happens the top 2 from the country will compete in the final and the other gymnast would be replaced by the 11 placer and qualification
The top 24 gymnasts who compete all four events qualify to the AA final. The maximum is two per country in the final. Simone Biles qualified in 1st, Aly Raisman qualified in 2nd and Gabby Douglas qualified in 3rd. Simone and Aly took up the two spots available to the Americans. Even though Gabby was 3rd best out of everyone in the competition, she was not allowed to advance because two Americans qualified ahead of her. This applies to all other places as well. So let's say three French gymnasts qualify in 22nd, 23rd and 24th place and a German gymnast qualifies in 25th. The first two French gymnasts advance to the AA final while the third doesn't and the German gymnast gets the 24th spot as long as two other Germans didn't qualify ahead of her. If they did then it keeps going further and further down the rankings until the 24th spot is filled

Dex Mor If you think Laurie has better execution on vault of all things you may need to get your eyes checked....9 times out of 10 Gabby would outscore Laurie in that area as far as form and execution goes. She was underscored...I would have given her a 15.266...Laurie a solid 15.
I'm still made that they let her compete in the AA over Laurie when she was obviously off her game and not working well with her team. Laurie could have excelled so much more. Not fair
1 month ago she was at home, not at the Olympics, and Aly was more polished at Olympics. Laurie would need 15.300 at Bars to beat Aly, plus I doubt Aly would have mistaken on Beam if Laurie was doing AA. So Laurie needed at least a 15.600 bars routine to beat Aly.

Raisman did get deducted for her leap form, just for your information. She had substantially higher difficulty in tumbling, was a lot cleaner in execution all the way around, and DID NOT GO OUT OF BOUNDS. The only scam is you thinking you know anything at all about the sport.
Gabby was such a useless pick for this olympic team, they could have picked someone else who could have had a higher AA score, plus a better UB score. If not, Laurie deserved that AA over Gabby tbh.
