The OFF command does allow the envelope. The CUT command is the one that ends it abruptly. The FAD has a predetermined volume fade that is not affected by the envelope.👍
Just to fill in on the history of trackers. I believe the tracker was first created to compose music for Amiga games. Before then people would write their own playback routines for games. The MOD format also became huge though the Amiga demo scene which was mainly based in and around Europe. You could sample on the Amiga, but you didn't sample direct into the MOD tracker, you used an external sampling program. Sampler cartridges plugged into the parallel port on the Amiga and were 8-bit, mainly because the Amiga's soundchip was an 8-bit playback chip (given it was designed in the early 1980s it was still impressive).
I found this to be a thorough demo of the Tracker’s capabilities, and no pretense was made during the video that a masterful composition was going to be showcased. Maybe if this was a demo for the latest workstation keyboard I’d expect some “real music”...but it wasn’t, and I’m not 😂
This demo shows up the technical side of the tracker and workflow tricks in a very good manner and not concentrating on the musical(composing) side. I think If someone wants to see best musical performance with it, look elsewhere, there are enough demos on youtube.
Hey, Matthew, Thank you for reaching out! The Polyend Tracker does not send the audio over usb. The usb is mainly to provide the power to the unit and for midi over usb. The Polyend can record your project a stereo track or stems to a built in microsd card. You would then have to transfer those files into your computer via a card reader. If there is anything else we can help with, let us know. Thanks, Grant Embury, Sweetwater Sales Engineer, (800) 222-4700 ext. 1647, Grant_embury@Sweetwater.com
Nice thorough review. Shame no actual songs were demoed - kept waiting for that. In fact the only real song we heard was the random note/FX stuff which was just terrible, the demo sounded like a 3 year old bashing the keys on a keyboard.
I think this video would've been more effective showing how much fun you can have with this awesome gear instead of trying to mimic a loopop style video. A good 15 minutes of showing the coolest features would have been more than enough. Check out Red Means Recording's videos as well to see how great this machine is. I'm definitely going to get one through Sweetwater because their service is second to none.
@@miss.antidote I am still learning it, but i used to use fasttracker quite a lot, its pretty easy to find your way about and do what you need without much menu navigation. sampling is easy as well.
I'm LITERALLY OFFENDED That you would even send me Something that LITTERLY makes (Baby toy) Noises.. ARE YOU SERIOUS ? F'ing BEYOND RIDICULOUS !!! Perhaps for Pre Schoolers.
Thanks for checking out the Polyend Tracker with us! Don't forget to like, comment, and subscribe for more!
Now own one, phenomenal sequencer. Inspiring, unique, solid. Recommended!
Holy crap, a hardware mod tracker.
Thank you Ricardo Anaya for this great video

Best explanation video so far! Thanks a lot
Good detailed product info. Let's hear some better sounding tunes made with it in a follow-up video!

Always something new at Sweetwater
Dope
I want this t-shirt !!!!!!!
Nerdseq has been around for years on the eurorack platform
Nerdseq is more LSDJ/Gameboy retro and this is more like Amiga (but with a more usable interface).
@@IndieAuthorX Yep and it's just a sequencer right? Not really comparable to this
does this carry audio over usb for easy recording into a daw?

LSDJ on steroids!
This new age 'on-the-fly', stream of consciousness, RUclips way of demonsting is a bane. This needs to be re-recorded.
That first tune made me wish to giggle crap little pink bunnies
That Tune isn't doing the polyend Tracker any favours, its dire!
Can we get more fx lanes?! 😀

Was going to buy this until he said "on accident"
Timestamp please.

@@jimmatheson9125 thanks so much for the info. I am really considering it for xmas :)
Horrible demo, go search for videos of this device elsewhere, its wayy better than this guy plays it.
that was the worst intro demo ive seen. Potential buyers should see the Polyend Instagram channel and RUclips videos.
@Davey Gram again, "Potential buyers should see the Polyend IG and RUclips videos."
A great little toy but nothing for making professional music.
..nice haircut my guy,..also 1994 called, it wants its lip ring back.
Within 30 seconds, I had to stop watching this video. This guy looks pretentious, and there was hardly any passion whatsoever.

Would you like to speak to the manager?
Its a synth. Makes any sound. Moron.
Can't tell if trolling or just fucking stupid.
this particular demo is not very flattering to the potential of this device but it’s not nearly as bad as you’re making it out to be haha.
