I just watched your call me baby reaction yesterday so im very glad you guys upload this : ) 🙌🏻 the concept of this mv is exo fighting with their dark side which were called x-exo. if you read the lyrics you will see that they were talking about something mysterious that always annoyed them, chasing them, appearing in their dream etc. And it was revealed in the last verse that the mysterious thing they mentioned through the whole vdo was actually themselves looking in the mirror. Exo is known to be king of kpop and vocals king (bc of their talented singing skills) but their storyline is the thing you shouldn’t miss too.
If you are interested in their vocals try listen to tempo, monster, and their b-sides tracks. I confirmed they are all gems. But if you are interested in their storyline , watch exo’s mvs. They all have stories behind them.

Their concepts and music actually were ahead of time...i remember how they did pathcode teasers, all members are scattered in different parts of the world just to form the EXO logo and create the pathcode theory and represent their powers.
I always find it amazing how EXO became the kings of kpop even without the hype of internet as what we have right now. And the fact that they are still gaining fans even without having proper promotions from their company speaks a lot.

Basically this MV wasn't inspired by Tekken lol they have own concept going on since 2012. and every MV is somehow connected. I'll try to explain concept the easiest I can. So EXO concept is that they are aliens from exoplanet, they came on Earth to protect humans from "Red Force", basically everything that's bad. Red Force can be seen in many different shapes and formes such as robots, human like androids and in this Obsession MV, EXO's own evil clones called X-EXO. If you pay close attention to video you'll see same members fighting themselves/evil clones made by Red Force. I'd also like to say that all 9 members of EXO has own special super power that Red Force wants to steal. Suho - water, Xiumin - frost, Baekhyun - light, Lay - healing, Chanyeol - fire, D.O - force/earth, Kai - teleportation, Chen - thunder/lightening and Sehun - wind. Almost in every MV you'll see EXO members showcasing their superpowers. Their theory going on is so interesting to me and one of the things that makes EXO such extraordinary group. Please continue to support them and check Lotto MV, Monster MV and Overdose MV. Thank you!
It's so satisfying to see EXO collect fanboys even during their enlistment era. You'll never go wrong getting into this amazing group! EXO is top notch in vocals, concept and choreography. If you notice that they are just 6 members only in this MV. Because 2 members D.O and Xiumin are in military, and Lay was in China.
EXO start has 12 members, and they have 2 sub units.
EXO-K(Korean members are Suho, Baekhyun, Chanyeol, D.O, Kai and Sehun) and
EXO-M(Mandarin members are Kris, Xiumin, Luhan, Chen, Lay and Tao).
All their albums have 2 version. But in 2014 Kris and Luhan leave the group. 2015 Tao leave also the group, his last MV was "Call Me Baby", Your first Exo reacting.
But in 2015 9 members only left that's why SM decided to put them all together in one group called EXO.
Exo known has the VOCAL KING in KPOP and Idol's of Idols.
The 9 members are:

What you saw in the "Obsession" MV was that EXO's doppelgangers were actually their alter ego clones and they were using their superpowers, such as Chanyeol with his fire power, Sehun uses his wind power to deflect the arrows, Baekhyun uses his power of light as a saber in the fencing battle, and Suho (the one with red hair) controls water in the room with all the pictures of water, etc. to fight their other selves. You see the planet on fire in the end of the MV because it's supposed to show how the world is coming to an end as EXO (the good guys in all black) and X-EXO (the evil ones in the colorful outfits with crazy hair and makeup) battle for control, etc. (Each of the members are playing 2 different characters -- there are only 6 people in this MV.)
X-EXO has been created by the evil Red Force and EXO and X-EXO are fighting each other. EXO are trying to prevent X-EXO from taking over and corrupting humanity and X-EXO are trying to stop EXO from finding the Tree of Life and putting the two halves back together and restoring peace, etc.
To truly understand EXO you need to understand that EXO debuted in 2012. "Mama" is EXO's debut song and MV and It is how EXO was introduced to the world and it explains the group's concept -- and since then, everything SM does branches off from that storyline. From day one, EXO's concept is that they are aliens from planet Exo and they came to Earth with superpowers to protect the Tree of Life from the Red Forces. Each of the members has a superpower that is unique to them and almost every MV will have at least one, if not all of them, using their powers.
Now you also need to know that In the beginning there was 12 members and they were split up into 2 groups EXO-K and EXO-M. EXO-K sang and performed their songs in Korean and EXO-M sang and performed those same songs in Mandarin Chinese. EXO-K had 6 Korean members and EXO-M had 4 Chinese members and 2 Korean members. So to really understand their full origin story you have to watch both the K and the M version of "Mama", because the EXO-K version focuses on the K members and their powers and the EXO-M version focuses on the M members and their powers.
However, since then, 3 of the 4 Chinese members have left the group (short answer to focus on their solo work back in China) but there is still one Chinese member left, Lay. (Any performances or MVs you watch that took place prior to May 2014 you will see all 12 members.) However, now -- because they no longer have enough Chinese members -- they no longer do separate promotions, but they still produce almost all of their MVs and main songs in both Korean and Mandarin they just now promote all as one big group EXO with 9 members. However, in the "Obsession" MV there are only 6 members -- Suho, Baekhyun, Chen, Chanyeol, Kai and Sehun -- because 2 of the members -- D.O. and Xiumin -- are on hiatus during this comeback as they serve in the military; and due to the political issues between the Korean and Chinese government, Lay -- their Chinese member -- was unable to participate in activities with the group.
So each new MV or project from EXO tells another part of the story, and over the years we fans have started to create a timeline and idea of what we think each part of the story is telling us. However, the introduction of "Obsession's" part of the story really threw all of our theories for a loop and it has made us question everything we have ever thought was happening in EXO's storyline.
The MV starts out with the red and blue light because it's supposed to represent how EXO are currently battling with X-EXO and the Red Force for control. In EXO's MVs when you see red light or anything that is red, this represents the Red Force, and when you see blue light or anything that is blue, this is thought to represent EXO. Therefore, when you see red and blue in one scene or purple -- red and blue mixed together make purple -- this is showing how the line between the two sides is being blurred and they are fighting each other, etc.
Since "Obsession" some think maybe EXO has been trapped somewhere from the very beginning and it has been X-EXO that we have been following all along. But I think it's still even more complex than that. I think at times we have been watching EXO and at times we have been watching X-EXO -- with the release of "Obsession" we have only just discovering that the story hasn't necessarily been showing EXO the whole time.
With the new information provided to us through "Obsession," it also makes me question how Lay fits within the X-EXO/EXO storyline. Maybe he is one of the members who has been able to break free or avoid the Red Forces' control. In Lay's solo MV for "Sheep," the Allen Walker relift version, we see everything burning outside as if an apocalypse is happening. Maybe "Sheep" is showing us the planet burning from Lay's viewpoint, like we see the world burning at the end of the "Obsession" MV.
Also, I believe that the storyline in "Obsession" is connected to SuperM's debut "Jopping" MV storyline. If you pay attention to what Baekhyun and Kai were wearing in"Obsession," those outfits are very similar to the black outfits that Baekhyun and Kai are wearing in the "Jopping" MV. Kai is even wearing the same backpack parachute in both MVs. Which seems to be SM Entertainment's way of making sure we see the connection between those MVs. So it is thought that, as part of SuperM's storyline, EXO has gathered the best of the best of SM's groups -- EXO, Taemin/SHINee, NCT/WayV -- to help them battle the Red Force and maybe eventually take down X-EXO. Just like the Marvel Avengers come together as individual superheroes with their own storylines to create the Avengers and to fight evil, it is thought that SuperM is coming together to create the ultimate supergroup to help EXO fight the evil and corruption inflicted on humanity by the Red Force.
Unfortunately, to make it even more difficult to understand, each part of the story is not necessarily in chronological order, so we as EXO-L (EXO fans) have to become detectives and analyze every aspect of all of their teasers, MVs, song lyrics, albums, concert VCRs, choreography and even live performances and piece it all together to understand the story behind it all. And not only are EXO's and SuperM's MVs and storylines connected, but pretty much all of SM's groups have storylines and concepts that connect together, which is designed to become part of one giant graphic novel or movie in the SM Culture Universe.
To help you pinpoint the powers being used in EXO's MVs and live performances, here is a list of the members and what their special power is.
EXO-K

🌏D.O. (Do KyungSoo) is a main vocalist and his power is the ability to control earth (dirt) which gives him strength/force
☄Kai (Kim JongIn) is a main dancer, lead vocalist and sub-rapper and his power is teleportation (Kai means opening as in a door or gateway, so his stage name is meant to symbolize his role in the group.)

(As you can see, Xiumin and Chen were given stage names that sounded more Chinese so they would fit in better in EXO-M because they are the Korean members of the Chinese group)

💭 Luhan was a main vocalist and his power was telekinesis (The ability to control things with his mind) (Luhan left the group in October 2014.)
⏰Tao (Z.Tao) was a lead rapper and vocalist and the martial artist of the group, so he did the flips and stunts in the group's routines. His power was the ability to control time (Tao ended activities with EXO in August 2015.)
