Fun fact: The bridge in this song is actually very spontaneous, they were just playing at the studio that time and harmonizing each other then when they hear it they said it sounds good so they decided it to put that in the bridge. ❤️

EXO has absolutely every album, song, concert, performance a separate masterpiece and no, I'm not exaggerating a bit. Producer Marz took part in writing the song "TEMPO" and for a very long time received offers from various companies with a request to create something similar for their bands and artists. But Marz said that this song is so vocally complex and basically not standard that only EXO can handle it. This song was created specifically for them. I quote, "What EXO did was amazing. They sounded like Boyz II Men, and that's crazy. This is definitely recklessness, which is not easy to create." I've never seen a band in the entire K-POP industry perform an a cappella part right in the middle of a song with such ease. EXO KINGS AND LEGENDS OF K-POP.

The team that made this song for EXO had so many other labels approach them afterwards, specifically asking for a song like this, and the team had to turn down the requests~ Cause they didn't think any other group could sing a song like this and pull it off the way EXO did^.^

About the cube thing : Tempo is by X-Exo (Exo's clone). So X-Exo put Exo inside the cube ( 2:52) you can see the cube behind them. Even though the x-exo thing came out on obsession era but you can still see this Exo-XEXO concept from the overdose era.( In overdose mv they were dancing inside cube remember? They were actually trapped by their clone inside the cube.)
