i'm not sure if i can articulate this properly so it doesn't sound weird, but i love how *normally* you talk. like a normal person talking. no emotional intonation, no emphatic dramatization, no "youtuber voice". and the reviews themselves, well... you are by far the best Lego reviewer that i know of.

I am not one to "lose my mind" over small secrets like the stormtroopers, but they do make the build experience much more fun to me and elevate Lego up from other more "serious" models for me personally. I just seems like some playful love has benn put into it.
There hasn’t been that many versions of the Acclamator from any toy company so it’s great we got this as a set. My favourite Republic capital ship. I prefer how they look without the red stripes though.
[Boob] was pretty funny jang. 😂 I love the fact that jang said, he didn't have a tan part handy for comparison. Then as he was editing he was probably like, this isn't live I'll just add the comparison. 😂
Learning that there's no stickers in this set makes it much more likely I'll check it out on a sale! It looks like a fun thing to swoosh about when bored at a desk...! I wish they'd do a to-scale venator and MAYBE FINALLY A LUCREHULK...?!
One of my favorite capital ships in star wars! So glad it finally got a nice good model. Am definitely picking it up alongside the invisible hand and have them in a little space battle. Plus it isnt all that difficult to modify into the aotc version wich is just full grey.
I would actually buy some legos for myself if they had a Venator. (Just bought my newborn nephew a bunch of lego SW sets for christmas, to put aside till hes old enough, between that and my childhood collection, hes getting a head start)
I've always liked the Acclamator, and the midi-scale sets are also much nicer both in terms of size on a shelf and pricing than the bigger, more elaborate sets. £45 is maybe a bit steep for what it is, but by the standards of modern Lego licensed sets, it's not _too_ bad. I stopped buying Lego a number of years ago partly for the expense and partly just because I ran out of shelf space, but this one has really caught my eye. I'd say it'd be nice if it came with a collectible minifig or something, but frankly, if it did, the price would probably skyrocket. Thanks for the good, concise review!
I wouldn't say I lose my mind over those Easter eggs but to me they're a clear indicator that whoever was working on these sets cared and put effort in which matters to me
I picked this up today. The build was really nice and I’m very happy with it. I’m so torn with these midi scale ships though. I’ve wanted a line exactly like this for years, and while they are severely overpriced for what they are, I feel like I need to vote with my wallet so they sell well enough that Lego keeps making them…… so it’s like a no win scenario. Support the overpriced line to show them the desire for ships in that scale, but simultaneously pay the inflated prices they’re charging to do it. I don’t know what the best answer is honestly.
Really wish i didn't have a bad financial month, this is one of the rare sets i think i could *usually* squeeze in and it would be amazing for my desk. Ah well maybe for me hatch day. Now waiting on a Venator.
Would’ve preferred a $40 MSRP, but $50 really isn’t too much of a stretch. Good looking build, quality prints, and it presents well. Does what it sets out to do very well which is really all I can ask for
I do wish this was a little cheaper, it does look like a really neat set, i dont have anything else important or sane to say, other than i really like the construction of a lot of lego star wars sets, especially the wedges, they look like exceptionally dense sandwhiches 10/10 would take a bite out of
I'm gonna wait for a price drop on this one, particularly because of those prints, but honestly it seems like decent value for Lego Star Wars nowadays. I've really enjoyed the mid-scale ships so far, but I've been buying all of them once they go down in price. It's hard to say if I'd actually buy these if they didn't go on sale in the UK after a few months.
I think at this point this fair to assume that these 18+ sets (including UCS, helmets, starship, diorama, and so on) have strict price brackets and $50 is likely the minimum for the should've been just called midi scale again sets. Not saying its a fair price, but it doesnt suprise me, lego has always been steeply priced. And now for my actual comment This ship was in Republic Commando I will buy this set at some point :)
The Acclamator is a cool ship for sure. I just don’t buy these expensive little builds when I can make a smaller moc for free and for fun. Which is why I love seeing your review!
I easily would have bought 2 or quite possibly more of these if they included the parts needed to build an Imperial version io desired, I desire it , I would ideally want say 3 of each , New Republic and Empire.
Hmm they are not recoloring that new angle technic connector 7. Even in a Starwars set 1 year later, it is reddish orange. I need it in black, and my watch begins.
This is a cool one. I was going to hold off for a bit until maybe it is on sale. However, I had a couple of Target gift cards given to me to cover $45. So what the hell? I picked it up for basically $5-$10 with tax. Totally worth it😅
Hey Jang I'm just gonna let you know, if you want to get any retired sets for review in the future. I recommend Bricklink, because they sell retired sets sometimes, and some may never get thrown off Bricklink!
:) Space triangle! I havent heard it before, were you using it in the past? I am not a Starwars adult so sometimes new lego sets feels just like that: ok another space triangle.
It's really baffling to me that they release this instead of a Venator when they have an Invisible Hand in the lineup at the moment. it's really weird when LEGO doesn't join up their thinking on these types of things.
Lego doesn't seem to care much for quality anymore. Both with their stickers and their prints. And i heard that the plastic isn't as good as it used to be. These are some of the reason why i stopped collecting. It's just not worth it anymore. You pay a high price for something that isn't as good quality as it used to be.
I think im going to wait at least a few months before I get this, just to see if these prints are part of a bad batch (pun intended) and that they’ll have a new batch that is better quality.
I’ve just wasted my money buying the new “minifigure scale” Tumbler when I also had the last one. I’m not spending more of my money on this tiny thing as well.
Kinda bummed about the price. Seems pretty steep. Also since it is midi-scale it’s not going to actually scale with most of the other official models, which is a little disappointing. Overall love that they finally made an official model of the Acclamator.
NOPE. I have nore tgan enough pieces to make this myself. Outside of a couple of city sets, and friends/marvel sets for the kids, I think I'm done with lego. I'll go with the alternatives for my money.
I would guess that they might be worried about cannibalizing sales of the UCS Venator, with some collectors buying the midi scale instead of the bigger model if both are available. I suspect they’ll wait a bit then release the midi scale one.
Acclamons l'Acclamator. The OG prequel pointy ship. And still my favorite take on a Star Destroyer inspired ship. still a bit pricey ( but not new ARC 170 / Dooku's sail ship kind of pricy). Not the most eye catching piece but a fine adaptation of the original design. A real shame about the paleness of the decals, it's becoming a worrying trend of lack of quality for color highlight. Not a must buy day one by any means but definitly a favorite set of mine of one of my favorite ship. For a seemingly small set, it's chunky, it's feel very solid in hand.
unpopular opinion but for this particular instance, I like the bright colour seen from the door. It kind of reminds me of my job were pallet racks are super bright blue and orange, wich I believe helps the driver to distinguish them better than basic grey or brown. I can imagine that these act as a suggestion of the support for ATTEs and LAATs. I bougth this set for 45€ as it was discounted day one, and I must say that I'm really pleased with it. I think that 40€ would be the fair price for it.
I agree, I think it’s a nice set and the price isn’t so bad (considering the Millennium Falcon was $80, I think, although I think that is sort of the pinnacle of these midi-scale ships, I didn’t mind too much paying for that one), but I’ve reached my saturation of grayish triangles. I always thought I was a Star Wars nerd, having been consuming Star Wars media since I was a small child, but so many of these ships are such deep cuts that I don’t even recognize most of them. I never clocked that the Home One was called the Home One, for example. I’m not even sure what side used this ship-I’m judging by the red that it was a Republic ship, but then the Imperial gray triangles look a lot like the Republic gray triangles, and they just visually don’t hold a lot of interest to me. Great review as always, of course, but this one just isn’t for me.
i'm not sure if i can articulate this properly so it doesn't sound weird, but i love how *normally* you talk. like a normal person talking. no emotional intonation, no emphatic dramatization, no "youtuber voice". and the reviews themselves, well... you are by far the best Lego reviewer that i know of.
Agreed!
Maybe "Casually" would be a good word to describe how he talks?
Yeah and when he throws jokes sometimes

@@JANGsLEGOreviews "Without further ado, let's get right into it" Just do it, don't tell me you're gonna😅
Just a nice guy, but also the greatest of all time when it comes to honest and calm reviews, just like you mentioned. That's our JANG.
Very underappreciated design, glad to see some representation of the Acclamator.
I'm never spending 50$ on this though.
@@benquinnobi6461 dont. This is the last time I buy a Lego priced like this.
I don't think any of this January wave is worth the retail prices. First time I'm waiting for all of them to go on sale.
As far as gray space triangles go, this is a pretty nice one!
I am not one to "lose my mind" over small secrets like the stormtroopers, but they do make the build experience much more fun to me and elevate Lego up from other more "serious" models for me personally. I just seems like some playful love has benn put into it.
I seem to be one of the few people who cared about the Planet Series when it was out. I have all of 'em....
Nice review!
I rly appreciate that this set has only PRINTS and no stickers. I despite lego everytime they use stickers even tho prints are much better.
Most of the time I don't even bother with stickers or decals. The more pure Lego look usually looks better to me anyways.
Good review!

Jang also thank you so much for your great and well explained reviews, I love them so much keep it going!
Quite small for the price
$30 would be great, I could live with $45 and maybe stomach $50, but I’ll probably wait for a sale.
buying it for my brother's birthday since he loves his invisible hand
Learning that there's no stickers in this set makes it much more likely I'll check it out on a sale! It looks like a fun thing to swoosh about when bored at a desk...! I wish they'd do a to-scale venator and MAYBE FINALLY A LUCREHULK...?!

Looks great! One of many awesome star wars ships.
So they can do prints on a $50 Acclamator, but they can't on a $650 Venator.
Nice prints great detail awesome review jang 👍
Its an absolutely gorgeous little build. I can't wait to get it on a deep discount
This might be the worst set of 2025 because it doesnt have 50 clone figures with dual molded legs
I picked this up today. The build was really nice and I’m very happy with it.

Well constructed blob. Enjoyable starship to display. I prefer prints over stickers. Unfortunely both are misscolored (e.g. ARC-170) ..
Really wish i didn't have a bad financial month, this is one of the rare sets i think i could *usually* squeeze in and it would be amazing for my desk. Ah well maybe for me hatch day. Now waiting on a Venator.
I got one of these and really like it.
Wish this were slightly larger in scale but it's nice overall. I'll wait for this to go on sale.
It looks great but I wish it scaled with the ucs venator, it would be nice to have some fleet builders
I got that planet set when it came out! Thought it was a Venator, though, lol
Would’ve preferred a $40 MSRP, but $50 really isn’t too much of a stretch. Good looking build, quality prints, and it presents well. Does what it sets out to do very well which is really all I can ask for
The only thing I wish it had was the landing gear we see in most scenes with it, including on Geonosis. Even still, it's a sick midi-scale set.
I don't care about the source material, but this is a cool looking spaceship.
I'll think about picking it up in a year when it's on clearance.
I do wish this was a little cheaper, it does look like a really neat set, i dont have anything else important or sane to say, other than i really like the construction of a lot of lego star wars sets, especially the wedges, they look like exceptionally dense sandwhiches 10/10 would take a bite out of
I want it, I want a Venator and a CIS Banking Clan Assault Cruiser alongside the CIS Luckrehauk.
Not too bad. I wish they threw in a minifig with these sets.
Any reason you never mention the ejection marks? They've gotten so much worse and more noticeable even over the last 2-3 years
I do like it better than the invisible hand.
When its 35 I might buy this:)
Yeah, prints. Baby steps…
”I DIDN’T spit in your food this time, aren’t i great?!”
- Lego if they where a restaurant business.

I'm just gonna say 'Grey space triangle' for the benefit of the algorithm.
is it me or does the light-bluish gray shade look all over the place too?
How is a print both too light & too dark
I easily would have bought 2 or quite possibly more of these if they included the parts needed to build an Imperial version io desired, I desire it , I would ideally want say 3 of each , New Republic and Empire.

When will lego give us space battleship yamato sets we really lack, i wouldnt care if its midi scale or ucs i just need one

Too expensive
I’ve just wasted my money buying the new “minifigure scale” Tumbler when I also had the last one. I’m not spending more of my money on this tiny thing as well.
50 EUR for this? 😂
Aside from the print quality this thing is perfect. Pricing wise it makes sense (though I'd want it cheaper).
If it was 25 or 30 i would insta buy it
And probably more than 1
But i will keep my eyes open for a sale
while I appreciate the prints instead of stickers, idk how that passes QC
"B O O P" 😀
50 bucks thats way too much
Kinda bummed about the price. Seems pretty steep. Also since it is midi-scale it’s not going to actually scale with most of the other official models, which is a little disappointing. Overall love that they finally made an official model of the Acclamator.
[boop]
That looks like a $20 set.
Not to hurt anyone's feelings, but when I see $50 sets like this, I thank god I'm not a Star Wars fan.
NOPE. I have nore tgan enough pieces to make this myself. Outside of a couple of city sets, and friends/marvel sets for the kids, I think I'm done with lego. I'll go with the alternatives for my money.
Would I rather get this, or for 10$ more get a massive dragon and some treasure? Hm...
aint no way that set is 45 quid
It's a cool set for a cool ship, bizarre choice to release this one before a Venator.
make a Venator, print money
I would guess that they might be worried about cannibalizing sales of the UCS Venator, with some collectors buying the midi scale instead of the bigger model if both are available. I suspect they’ll wait a bit then release the midi scale one.
Same color inaccuracy as the ARC-170. What gives, Lego? Aren't we paying you enough to maintain your equipment and services??
Wow it really is that small, isn’t it? Oof
Acclamons l'Acclamator. The OG prequel pointy ship. And still my favorite take on a Star Destroyer inspired ship. still a bit pricey ( but not new ARC 170 / Dooku's sail ship kind of pricy). So over priced it be in bargain bucket few months I'll wait
Lego has become such a scam. It's insane
maybe 30 but 50 is dumb
30 yes. 40 NO. 50LOLOLOLOLOL
I'd rather buy another super star destroyer
Bro...50 bucks feels like an honest ripoff

Not gonna lie, I didn’t realize this wasn’t a Venator and was confused why you weren’t mentioning the ones we’ve gotten 😅
Kinda wished it had landing gear, but that’s a tiny nit pick
I don't have any midi scale sets but I'm looking to make this my first
I agree, I think it’s a nice set and the price isn’t so bad (considering the Millennium Falcon was $80, I think, although I think that is sort of the pinnacle of these midi-scale ships, I didn’t mind too much paying for that one), but I’ve reached my saturation of grayish triangles. Clone wars ship. Republic and Imperial look similar since the military is pretty contiguous. Venators replaced by the newer star destroyers, etc.
this is not it
Looks like lego got „midi scale” and „mini scale” mixed up
lego just goes smaller and smaller and smaller and smaller...
