It's great stuff. I sponged it on plywood cabinets and they're in top class condition 5 years later. I had the goggles and respirator on coz it fumes a bit!

I am intending to purchase the same unfinished doors from Howdens and use the Osmo... But my question is how much did you pay for the fitting of the 8 doors please?

Are these solid oak doors or veneered? I’ve heard the polyx which we also used on the stairs is for solid wood and you run the risk or de laminating the veneer. We’ve be recommended to get the osmo door oil

I believe they may be veneered but unsure, LPD say solid core but I presume they have a finishing layer/veneer on top. A year in and so far so good. Time will tell, Osmo recommended at the time

@@DIYJourney1 yeah solid core means they are veneered. I only noticed when I spotted osmo do a specific door oil so I looked into why they do it and found a few people saying the polyx damaged the veneer and to use the osmo door oil.

Yeah osmo oil caused issues for me on similar doors. Took a couple of years to lift the veneer. To be fair there's a big warning on some doors not to use oil finishes and to use solvent varnish or paint instead. I use Osmo on solid wood and it is awesome.

Hi, I wouldn’t recommend where we bought them from. However we have just ordered some more from ‘Doors to You’ and they are ‘LPD Doors’ ‘Mexicano’.
      Hope that helps.

Just the one coat. It did darken them up, I wouldn’t want them any darker
