I was watching Spider-Man homecoming last night and he even used this British accent in the movie I heard it and it was spot on perfect I didn't even have any idea that they actually made one of the movies in his hometown until he said it in an interview
Well it's better this way anyway.
Look up the 2017 film Pilgrimage. He plays a British (or Irish, cannot quite recall) monk, so he speaks in his normal British accent.

This movie was is really good. I thought it was going to be shit like hell and didn't want to watch but one review said: don't believe the critics, this movie is something different from what we usually expect. And yes... I was pleasantly surprised.

It’s an amazing demonstration of how twisted “kindness” can be used to train someone or anyone in HATE. Simply incredible. Wow! I’ve been through two audiobooks now it’s about Love yes and about how leaders can bend the minds of youth to try and and break that love between a young man and woman. Will it survive? Get the books and find out is all I will say! What a stupendous trilogy. Sure has been holding me to the edge of my seat!

As a long time fan of this book series I can’t help feeling a little disappointed. The movie appears to be trying to be a fast paced high stakes dystopian adventure movie, which I feel truly misses the heart of these books. This story is about being a child being told you’re on the precipice of manhood yet not knowing how to confront all that entails. It’s about how the stories we tell about the past shape us, about what silence and our thoughts mean, about how to deal with the distortion of truth and how to make sense of an impossibly confusing world. These books are so heartfelt and genuine, and the action is only very secondary to the characters and their struggles, and I feel that this film is disregarding all of that to try and ride the long dead wave of big budget dystopian action movies that felt tired after the hunger games. Don’t get me wrong I’ll still go to see this movie but I’m just disappointed that a series I love so much will be so lacking

Well me and my friend found the movie transcript. It does seem to be a little different but the LARGE elements are still there. And the author did work on the movie to. And it’s set where Todd is 17 turning 18. So there are differences, but there are still somethings that hold true to the first book. (And the movie is definitely ONLY the first book)

@@Megaproductions302 Well, it's because the screenplay of the movie was done by a total of six different writers (with John Lee Hancock and Charlie Kaufman included) so it's themes and story could have been complicated to translate for the screen, and for Lionsgate to market the movie as a whole. And those were the issues that happened

Bruhhhh. The knife of never letting go is my favorite book series ever. I was hoping they would make it into a movie. And now that they are, I'm so excited
to anyone who’s asking: the movie was only delayed once because they needed reshoots (normal for a movie making) because Tom Holland and Daisy Ridley were busy with Star Wars and Marvel stuff so that’s why the movie is only coming out in 2021 :)

I havnt watched a single movie in 8 yrs, stuff like this reminds me i'm not missing much. And if movies wernt already bad enough, the pandemic royally screwed the art of movie making. When you go yrs without seeing one, the trailers seem so... Idk its weird. Makes me feel like dissociation, and reminds me I spent most of my life being a daily tv watcher. I loath fiction now, I still have a wild imagination, but i get more satisfaction from creating than consuming.
There have been really good films last few years. I recommend Poor things as a reminder of how crazy and original movies can still be if that was what you are after.

That´s a technique by the editors because they know the attention span nowadays isn´t long. When people see/hear in which direction a trailers goes within the first 5 seconds they decide to watch it or not. Especially on phones etc. I´m a trailer music composer and we always have to create tracks with a "second climax" which is more intense but short. Just for situations like that :)

Fun fact: the author of the Chaos Walking books is Patrick Ness, the same who wrote A monster calls, whose movie is also amazing and was made by J.A. Bayona. The same director who "discovered" Tom Holland on The Impossible when he was younger. Gosh, I remember reading the books when I was about 12. I really enjoyed them. Cannot for the life of me remember what they really were about but I'm curious to see this film. I like Tom Holland, been seeing his films since The Impossible and Daisy Ridley, well, it'll be good to see her out of a Space Opera 😅
