  • In 2017, Cat claimed the Female Fastest Known Time (FKT) for the Rim to Rim to Rim course in Grand Canyon National Park. The traverse is 42 Miles and 12,000 feet of elevation gain. She did it in 7 hours and 52 minutes.
One year later someone else set a new record: 7 hours 25 Minutes.
It motivates Cat to come back there and push her limits again.
Discover Cat's story in her quest to reclaim the FKT. Learn a little more about what makes Cat tick in The Canyon.

Get it CAT!! Your story is fantastic and I love that you're such a beast to take yourself from those crash injuries, back to being an absolute machine! I hope you get to the GC in 2021 and really tip the scales on the FKT. I didn't let 2020 keep me from running in the GC, and it turned out to be a great year for it with the reduced visitor numbers. We ran rim-to-river and back the day after it re-opened in May '20 (drove all night to get there at 3am), returned in early Oct. for some touristy hiking, and I went back a week later with a car on a trailer, so that I could park at the South Rim, drive to the North Rim, and run R2R. Getting ready to head back in 2 weeks (mid-Apr '21) for another run! Thanks for the inspiration!! (BTW, we love our Petzl Tikkinas and wear them on every R2R! We gave you guys a nod in '19 in our R2R video on my channel)

paraphrasing but "Let yourself feel it, and then push through it", I'll be taking that one with me as support in future mental struggles.

I think that FKT was broken twice in a few days. Sandi and Taylor? Kind akward not to mention them. Ok it’s sponsor stuff but still
