GREAT. I have just discovered this style of "Adventure Riding" ? No destination, No route, and no time restraint. Running in my Scram so am only interested in gear changes and varying speed. Doing a lot of this style of riding, finding little gems everywhere. Can not remember how I found most of them and probably couldnt find them again but who cares just enjoy. This is also good for the old gray matter as well and Merv seems to like it ;-)
I just sort of drifted into this off the beaten path exploring. I think it stemmed in big part due to growing bored with riding the same roads and visiting the same places. There’s just something so relaxing about heading out mooching without much of a plan and no constraints on time or distance. I think the mental health benefits to doing this are massive. We’re heading to Ireland on Saturday to explore the Wild Atlantic Way, a week of motorcycling what could be better. 🙂 Thanks for watching and leaving a comment 😀👍🏻
@@GlynOC thanks Glyn 😀 the A470 really is such a glorious road to ride 😃 I was trying to squeeze it into 1 minute 😉😀 loved your Bwlch in 1 minute video 👍🏻😀
Perfect timing Dave as we've a wet old morning here after an absolutely spiffing one yesterday and I have a pot of coffee to enjoy this ride with you and Merv. Catch you at the conclusion
Wow that was a perfect lane wasn't it 👌. As you say, Stan is ideal for that Loved the whole ride and it did make me wonder as we rode through all that slate debris around Blauneou (misspelled) Festiniog not only what it must be like living amongst it, especially in winter, but also what folk now do to make living. I can see too that you have your Beeline mounted in an ideal position which I shall replicate as I haven't got 'ours' quite right yet. Many thanks for a really enjoyable ride around Snowdonia in this series. Just perfect company 👍👍👍
Thank you Peter, so pleased to hear you enjoyed the video. I get a lot of mixed emotions when I’m out riding in these landscapes and see something like the mountain that has been mined, or is or quarried, for the slate but I’m able to reconcile it knowing that it was a necessity and I’m sure the community that grew from it would have been closely knit. Riding around these area really does wonders for expanding the mind, I really do love it. Definitely helps if you can raise the neigh of the beeline to bring it as close as possible to line of sight. Thanks as always for being such a supporter of this little channel 🙏🏼👍🏻😀
@@MerciaMoto Yes those slates went worldwide didn't they and most are still keeping the weather out - certainly in Portsmouth last time I visited! As a very naive twenty year old riding to Llanberis in winter it really did seem bleak. I was totally unprepared for what I saw. Yet in early summer when we rode there again (exactly where we camped I wish I knew - somewhere near Bettws I think) it just seemed magical. But that's what a bit of sunshine can do and you most certainly had that. So pleased to be able to join you on this exploration of Wales.
Great roads Dave , only did that ride over the pass the other day, And i noticed you rode through Talybont near where in live in Llanbedr. I call Wales Gods country. We are very lucky to have these roads to explore , Until the next time, Mike . (sunny wales)

Another video coming tomorrow where I’m exploring Aberangell and Aberllefenni. Cheers 👍🏻😀
