Buu takes on certain personality traits of the people he absorbed. As you saw with Buutenks, Buuhan, and the Grand Supreme Kai. Plus, the Kais are known for their pure nature. So adding a Kai's essences to Buu's chaotic personality. Is like adding black ink/coloured paint drops to a clean white canvas. It doesn't keep the original image.

The Kais being absorbed gave Buu his powers that normally only the Kais and some Nameks have been seen using, like healing and transmuting things into candy and other objects aswell, but they also made him naive and gave him the desire to eat candy and chocolate, the original Buu doesnt care about that stuff enough to be bribed or fooled.
You gotta keep in mind that Goku wasn't thinking when he picked up Dende and Hercule. He might have been thinking about the Dragonballs but like he says when he was trying to instant transmission, he couldn't concentrate. It was all a spur in the moment decision, Goku didn't want Dende and Hercule to die in the moment and he didn't have time to think. It's why Goku seems so defeated when he gets there, he wasn't thinking and he regrets not saving his sons instead.
Agreed, this is why i find it frustrating when some people prefer the original japanese version. bruce falconers music makes it so much more intense, and makes buu look so much more menacing

If there was time for goku to do it without instant transmission then vegeta could have done it too especially with them flying right over them because they were flying in their direction. To further explain Mike's Buu explanation (also, no, they never really explain it): Basically, Fat Buu was him after he absorbed the fat Kai. That Kai was SO pure hearted that it caused Buu to absorb the kindness itself, causing him to basically be a child-brained..thing, that was able to be nice. THAT Buu is the one that has that kindness absorbed into him. He also had some evil in him still. When the dog was shot and the skinny Buu appeared, that was ALL of the evil being removed from the fat Buu's body. That evil energy took the form of the skinny Buu. Then skinny Buu absorbed fat Buu to gain the power he had. That good energy was still within fat Buu's body, which was just in the pod inside Super Buu. However, since they are now connected, Super Buu now also can see fat Buu's memories (just like he did with the kids and Gohan), which is why he wouldn't kill Mr. Satan. The goodness was still ONLY in that fat Buu body that was in the pod, but those memories were influencing how Super Buu acted towards Mr. Satan. Goku and Vegeta released fat Buu. Since fat Buu is the one that has the kindness, by removing him, the Buu that's left, no longer is tapping into fat Buu, and that kindness is now gone. Therefore the smaller Buu (we call him 'Kid Buu"), is stronger because that kindness of fat Buu was removed, therefore he is just pure evil. Having even the smallest amount of good in him would cause him to not do EVERYTHING bad, such as refusing to kill Mr. Satan. Now that all the good is completely removed, he has no reason to keep anyone else alive, or care what happens around him since he can survive planets blowing up with him on them. Also, just know that this is the anime only. In the manga, After Super Buu absorbs Gohan, THAT is the strongest he is. They changed it for the anime. So everything I said is still technically true, just that in the anime it causes him to be more powerful.
So if you went inside Fat Buu, removed the 2 absorbed Kais, then there'd be 2 Kid Buu, so this Kid Buu (who destroyed the Earth) isn't as strong as he was before he fought the Kais?
so we figured out this is the only being in this time line frieza and he's clan was afraid of even he's father was afraid of kid buu. Also we learned after the tournament of power arc and into the new one kid buu was actually a good guy he was a space cop like jaco actually he was a part of jaco's cop group. As remember the M stands for majin but not actual part of buu. Yah i was surprised to learn this like it was just a random topic when goku and vegeta and buu met jaco and he's space cop friends. We also learn if goku and vegeta would have done more digging they could have found some of the other surpreme kais as they were still in buu's body.
The way i explain to myself how the fat buu cocoon works is that essentially over time the ones hes absorbed overwrite his previous form. So maybe years from then if they didnt save all of the z warriors there woudlve just been a "buuhan" pod inside

Good/Evil, you're looking at the pure unrestrained Evil Buu in his natural Kid form. While the Fat Buu is still the one who has the south and Grand Supreme kai's personality traits absorbed from the timeline. Two Buus, same timeline.
Alexis remember when Majin Buu separated himself, good from evil when Hercule and B got shot? So in a sense you can say that South Kai is still around in Buu's good half. The pure evil side has nothing of the kind left in him. Just his original pure evil self

I gotcha, the evil gray boo is an offshoot manifestation of the fat boo, the evil within him, meaning it’s its own thing like shadow clone, jutsu or fission, when he merged with fat buu and became super buu he basically became a fusion with is offshoot. So when vegeta removes fat buu from super buu he reverted back to the original all the memories he got from absorbing fat boo came to surface when the evil side took over like an origami that’s why he didn’t just simply go back to the grey form because absorbing the fat boo gave the memories and powers back. So when Vegeta severs the fat boo all he’s doing pretty much is just taking away the Grand supreme Kais influence. Is a little confusing that’s why his original form emerged because it was the fat boo, keeping his original form tamed until he made the grey offshoot.
This is only Goten's first and only death in Z, and the franchise I think, and so young. Gohan, Trunks, and Piccolo have all died in more than this scenario. Though, this Trunks is also still a child. Kinda effed up.

I find Faulconer's tracks to be 💩. But the transformation track is the single one I enjoy and found fitting for the destruction of Earth

If there was time for goku to do it without instant transmission then vegeta could have done it too especially with them flying right over them because they were flying in their direction. They just chose to have them get left behind because they had the goku and vegeta respect thing in mind.
To further explain Mike's Buu explanation (also, no, they never really explain it):
Basically, Fat Buu was him after he absorbed the fat Kai. That Kai was SO pure hearted that it caused Buu to absorb the kindness itself, causing him to basically be a child-brained..thing, that was able to be nice. THAT Buu is the one that has that kindness absorbed into him. He also had some evil in him still. When the dog was shot and the skinny Buu appeared, that was ALL of the evil being removed from the fat Buu's body. That evil energy took the form of the skinny Buu. Then skinny Buu absorbed fat Buu to gain the power he had. That good energy was still within fat Buu's body, which was just in the pod inside Super Buu. However, since they are now connected, Super Buu now also can see fat Buu's memories (just like he did with the kids and Gohan), which is why he wouldn't kill Mr. Satan. The goodness was still ONLY in that fat Buu body that was in the pod, but those memories were influencing how Super Buu acted towards Mr. Satan. Goku and Vegeta released fat Buu. Since fat Buu is the one that has the kindness, by removing him, the Buu that's left, no longer is tapping into fat Buu, and that kindness is now gone. Therefore the smaller Buu (we call him 'Kid Buu"), is stronger because that kindness of fat Buu was removed, therefore he is just pure evil. Having even the smallest amount of good in him would cause him to not do EVERYTHING bad, such as refusing to kill Mr. Satan. Now that all the good is completely removed, he has no reason to keep anyone else alive, or care what happens around him since he can survive planets blowing up with him on them.
Also, just know that this is the anime only. In the manga, After Super Buu absorbs Gohan, THAT is the strongest he is. They changed it for the anime. So everything I said is still technically true, just that in the anime it causes him to be more powerful.
So if you went inside Fat Buu, removed the 2 absorbed Kais, then there'd be 2 Kid Buu, so this Kid Buu (who destroyed the Earth) isn't as strong as he was before he fought the Kais?

Also we learned after the tournament of power arc and into the new one kid buu was actually a good guy he was a space cop like jaco actually he was a part of jaco's cop group. As remember the M stands for majin but not actual part of buu. Yah i was surprised to learn this like it was just a random topic when goku and vegeta and buu met jaco and he's space cop friends. We also learn if goku and vegeta would have done more digging they could have found some of the other surpreme kais as they were still in buu's body.

@@Kash_28 Goku and Vegeta simply got stronger after fighting Buuhan. We see this when they are inside Buu's body, as Goku is able to fight evenly against Ultimate Gohan as a Super Saiyan

I gotcha, the evil gray boo is an offshoot manifestation of the fat boo, the evil within him, meaning it’s its own thing like shadow clone, jutsu or fission, when he merged with fat buu and became super buu he basically became a fusion with is offshoot. So when vegeta removes fat buu from super buu he reverted back to the original all the memories he got from absorbing fat boo came to surface when the evil side took over like an origami that’s why he didn’t just simply go back to the grey form because absorbing the fat boo gave the memories and powers back. So when Vegeta severs the fat boo all he’s doing pretty much is just taking away the Grand supreme Kais influence. Is a little confusing that’s why his original form emerged because it was the fat boo, keeping his original form tamed until he made the grey offshoot.

This is only Goten's first and only death in Z, and the franchise I think, and so young. Gohan, Trunks, and Piccolo have all died in more than this scenario. Though, this Trunks is also still a child. Kinda effed up.

Just look SSJ3 Goku can keep up with kid buu, but he himself had admitted he had no match for super buu. I rest my case. ✌️

Everything you asked about the kias being in boos body still, solid question but to put it simply they died in fat buu vegeta says at the beginning of the episode that they (gohan goten trunks and piccolo) did well to survive and in the time frame it was only a day they all got absorbed. Fat Buu was lock in that ball for centuries with kais soo its not really stated tbh but from vegetas quote they died and came apart of that buu soo when vegeta cut the strings to fat buu pod in super buu everybody that he absorbed got released also. Or the influence of them at least and super buu knew it like he liked being smart and intellectual that cane from the kais why he absorbed good buu instead of just destroying him
The Kai were all inside of the fat Buu, but he was detached from Super Buu by Vegeta so any influence fat Buu had is no longer there to restrain him.

All the others either had the Kai's goodness in them or had enough rational thought to be considered Intelligent. Kid Buu is basically just a mindless berserker killing machine. There has been a huge debate in the fandom between if Kid Buu or Buuhan (Gohan absorbed Buu) is the strongest and yeah in terms of power it is Buuhan.

i know you finished the series by now, but goku didnt safe dende & mr satan mainly cause of the dragon balls, its Gokus character which would always safe innocent people if possible and in a short period of time its hard to make a proper decision, but the main point why he saved them, is cause they were on the way & quicker to reach than gohan etc, as it was his main goal to fly there and quickly noticed them on the way getting to them, and this kid boo has 0 absorptions or braincells its a demon made killing machine, the whole purpose of his existece by creating of bibidi was for him to destroy, so as soon as he reached his normal state he acts that way
