- I look at the recent batch of MOTU Origins Fan Favourite Re-Releases - and ask if these are figures that nobody could get initially because they didn’t produce enough…or was it just a distribution issue?

Webstor in Malaysia is overstocked, while in Manila, Mini Comic Trap Jaw is all over the place including Pig Head and some characters from Sun-Man. Also, Snout Spout and Leech are flooded here in the Philippines on clearance.
Mattel needs to get it clear that Wave 2 and 3 are the ones that were shortly released in International retail.
If Mattel puts out a Real Survey for everyone, we'll know the actual Fan Favorites that need to be re-released, not a random post.
It's crazy how distribution changes around the world. I still don't have a King Randor and only got a yellow Trap Jaw through a specialty shop recently.
The entire wave 3 was WAY overstocked here, there was She-Ra's galore, but mostly Evil-Lyn and Fisto peg warming. The distribution has been terrible.

The thing i love is the fact that mattel cares that we want something,and restock it again some times for the ppl probably regarding the sells it made! But that's why those figures were left in those shelves,because of those high prices!
7:53 Absolutely! 2 big problems here in America:
1. Every Walmart is loaded with Jitsu, Buzz-Off & naked Stratos. Sorceress, not so much.
2. Most Walmarts *REFUSE* to put them on clearance. I have 8 Walmarts near me & the only ones that put them on clearance were the 2 that no longer carry MOTU at all.
I bought 6 of them from my Walmart & returned to other Walmarts just to get them out of here. I'm trying to make room for Turtles Of Grayskull & the 3 Walmart Exclusive Snakemen. I NEED to find Necro Conda as soon as he hits stores.
good video Ken. In Chile, we are in a dry season of new figures or re-stock of anything different from Jitsu, Sorceress, Leech, Naked Stratos, Buzzoff, or Snout Spout. Mattel's distribution of this line, really sucks!

I am from Austria, we never had webstor, clawful, Orko, slamurai in our smyths shelfs. Now they are ful
Wave 2 Trap Jaw and the rest of the wave did get a reissue at least as a Target exclusive in the US. Some collectors were even able to get the cardboard display they came in. I managed to get the entire wave, but sadly not the display. Also, I'm hearing reports that Duplico is a peg warmer in Mexico.
I have him. But I never seen him in the store. U.S

I'm in the US and I've never seen Webstor or comic Trap Jaw on any store shelves. Ninjor and Tri-Klops were easy to find at first, but soon became impossible to find. Definitely a distribution issue.
Webstor and stinkor had little distribution in the US so they are pretty rare
I FINALLY received my Webstor from BBTS last week! I never saw him in the States. I wish they’d do a Fan Favorite of Tri-Klops, I really want to add him to my collection, he’s one of my favorites. The only figures I see in the St. Louis, MO area is Stratos, Buzz-Off, Jitsu, The Sorceress, Leech, occasional Moss Man, and the Talon Fighter. Pretty depressing. BRING BACK TRI-KLOPS!!!
Ive heard he will be in the next "fan favorite" wave that is coming. If i remember right i heard in on a "ToyHabits" video, but only time will tell if that turns out to be true. It is disappointing that so many core characters were produced in such low quantities and so poorly distributed, while other characters were apparently overproduced and still taking up shelf space at retailers or in clearance aisles.
Tri-Klops is coming. He's shown in the cross-sell on one of the new cards. Toy Habits reported on it a few months ago.

Your spot on Ken, Webstor had bad distribution here in the UK (That entire wave he was in did) so he as you said isnt technically a 'Fan Favorite' here in the UK, just fixing a distribution issue.

You are absolutely right!.. They’re just going to take the ones in Malaysia and ship them to the USA and then ship the ones in the USA and ship them to Malaysia..🤷🏾♂️
Ninjor was going for rediculous prices, so he was due for a re-release. Webstor was going up too, but I dont think the others were very rare or in demand.
Distribution issue with Webstor in the UK, Ninjor was moderately popular though
Webstor was very hard to find here in Florida, USA. I can not vouch for everywhere else.
I had issues finding Webster and King randor in New York. Besides Naked Stratos wave New York distribution was horrible!
Ah, but the original Trap Jaw did see a reissue like a year or 2 ago with Scareglow, Man-e-faces and I think Orko. They were a Target Exclusive here in the States
I think with Webster the reissue is for that backpack issue, lol.
I might get a second Ninjor since I believe Barbarosa makes an unmasked head for it.
Your right, however the reissue never made it over to UK shores so like the Wave 2 version its in short supply for a popular figure. I know i and i suspect lots of others got a comic book TJ to compensate for not getting the original, however comic book TJ does also have a cool bright colour scheme thats appealing.
Being out on Long Island Ny, I was able to find in store only Webstor, Ninjor was a 1st BBTS purchase. I ordered the original king randor wave from bbts, got canceled.... never seen another figure here in store. As of now as many all Jitsu, Socerres, Stratos and now recent return of Buzz off. Even now the crossover line with TMNT has not seen store shelves either....think it's like this in HK or Philippines? I will have to see when I take a vacation!
What ? i just bought the 4 pack buzz off, sorceress, stratos comic, jitsu for rm 89.90 last year when it was on discount by Mattel malaysia clearance!
Ya l don't know who's in charge of distribution over at Mattel , but it has been a nightmare to get some of these figures. Randor and webstor are nowhere to be found in the U.S .😢
Whiplash, Slamurai, Thunder Punch He-Man, 200x Randor, Snake Trooper and a few others. All of the waves starting with the Whiplash wave were impossible to find until the current wave 14 with Spikor.

I think that Mattel did a LAME JOB giving us the TMNT/MOTU combo and not giving us what the Origins line was originally set to be.......vintage figures.....not these newly invented LAME collaborations. No sign of Two Bad, Modulok, Dragstor ect....they squashed the excitement that they had us on
Which TRUs are these? With the clearance thats going on rn, im definitely nabbing some of those masterverse figs like skeletor and moss man thats missing at my side of town.

Hey man, look on the bright side, characters like Webstor can be army builders. You can buy up a bunch of them & have a group of his people. Species: Arachna. Just like Buzz-Off and the Andreenids. Or Stratos & the Avions. And Mer-Man & Beast Man also have a whole race of people. No reason why you would want only 1. I never understood why MOTU collectors never army-build those characters. Slamurai & Ninjor could also be army-builders.
They seriously *NEED* to reissue Whiplash, Slamurai & Thunder Punch He-Man. I NEED a bunch of Slamurai's for the white body for customs.
Distribution issues are plaguing MOTU Origins, GI Joe Classified and Star Wars Micro Galaxy Squadron. And certain Transformers.
I wish they could make fan favorites of slamurai.i never ever got him☹️☹️☹️☹️
I have 1 but I need more for the white body. I wish Slamurai was pegwarming in every Walmart instead of naked Stratos or Jitsu. Slamurai is the #1 figure I want to be a Fan Favorite.

He is getting a reissue ... its been widely documented. He has been available to preorder in the UK for months.

im from germany and we never see this figure here🤬
in Germany, Webstor was much hard to get with his first Release at this time, just sayin...leech and a lot of other never made it over here...just as import from the us...and a lot of sun mans too...thats a really big problem mattel have still today, to get the figures world wide in way everyone can be happy and get one...or two...just remember, i grew up with this figures, and these are not made for kids today...its a big mess up from mattel what they did and all big toy stores...for re selling the figures in smaller toy stores...
