Looks like a pretty close match to the filmation version. I think so far trap jaw and teela might be the closest to matching their appearances from the filmation cartoon. Great in depth review!
Thanks for taking the time to watch the review and sharing your thoughts on this Figure and his Cartoon inspired design for the Origins line. Yeah I think the design and colors for this Trap-jaw look close to the filmation, but with the Origins style asthetics. Teela looks really impressive so far. I still have her in card. I'll try to review her soon!👍
I've held the skelly fig up to actual animation cells I own, its only just a sight shade off the colour used in the paints, so Im not sure why people are complaining..oh wait there humans.
Lol. I hear ya! To be honest! I really like this cartoon line and the colors. I think they look good in comparison with the animation, but yet using the origins of asthetics and overall designs. So they aren't gonna look exactly like they jumped out of the cartoon like the Classics line would try to do. They are a representation and more reminiscent of that show. Also, there might be likeness rights from the animation that Mattel can not use on certain figures. This is nothing new with copyright issues when making toys. But yeah, people will complain about anything. Thanks for watching and sharing your comments 👍
Yeah, i think He is definitely one of the better-looking cartoon figures so far with sculpts and colors in this line. Thanks for watching and sharing your thoughts 👍
I really liked each of the cartoon figures so far, even if there is some room for improvement on most of them, but when I think of Filmation Trap Jaw this is it! He is... PERFECT! 😀
Yeah, i think these Origins Cartoon figures are really fun and have a decent design as far as trying to take the filmation characters and turn them into Origins figures or Toys. They aren't gonna be look as accurate as the Classics, and I have a feeling the idd colors have something to do with property rights with that filmation cartoon. But they are good enough for me. However, this Trap-jaw and the new Teela look the best so far! Thanks for stopping in already to check out the review. I'm glad you also like the new Trap-jaw design and colors👍
11:20 Finally a Trap Jaw that's cartoon accurate when it comes to the arm attachment. This is the correct way to display him because he is straight out of the filmation series.
Yeah, it's cool they allow both options to set the mechanical arm up with the short look going back to the animation. I also like that extension piece to make him more of a vintage inspired mix with the articulation in the elbow for accessories. Thanks for watching and sharing your thoughts on this new Trap-jaw figure 👍
Damon here, about two months late, lol! I agree with a few of the comments, Trap Jaw looks like one of the best Cartoon figures yet! That’s pretty cool that the arm attachment can also be removed, but it feels weird that he only has two of his three standard accessories. I’m also kind of indifferent to the episode-specific props. They just feel like add-ons that aren’t all that necessary. I can’t imagine I’d be displaying him holding the Eternium. Great review as always!
Hey Damon! I appreciate you checking out this video finnally! That's alright, I'm also getting behind on making reviews for personal reasons. We get to it when we can! Yeah, I think this cartoon Trap-jaw looks the best so far with design and colors. I'm also disappointed they didn't include the more known attachments like the claw hook and fly hitting tool. I guess it's expected to see limited accessories because he is a standard figure, not deluxe or boxed. I also have no use or will not display him with the Eternim rock. It think they are using some of these iconic accessories to help market the filmation figures as seen on TV with those specific accessories from those episodes.
I'm glad to hear you also like the overall look of This cartoon Trap-jaw figure. I'm very happy with the design for Origins. Thanks for watching and sharing your thoughts 👌

This guy looks pretty close to the Filmation character, I’m digging him. Even like the way you can remove the extra piece on the mechanical arm to make it look like the filmation stubby way. I’m only getting he-man and Skeletor because of space, but I hope this sub-line goes deep because I wouldn’t mind having some characters like Count Marzo, another release of Kol Darr, Dark Dream, Shokoti, evilseed and the rest of the POP Horde characters like shadow weaver, Catra, and Scorpia. As cool as it looks, it’s still take the origins trap jar. He’s actually my favourite villain out of them all. Great review as always, brother.
Thanks for stopping in as always, brother! I hear you with the space issues. I have been just putting the newer figures standing up in a box for now. I don't have the room in my main collection. Glad you played around with the mechanical arm. I was curious if the attachment is removable at the shoulder for a more cartoon look and it is. 😊 You don't have any of the Super7 5.5 inch Filmation version figs? Just curious if the attachments from that Trap-Jaw is compatible with this Trap-Jaw? Or if the Club Grayskull Trap-Jaw attachments will work with this as well? 🤔
Thanks for watching the review! It's also cool that they added a mechanical extension piece to articulate that arm and give him a more vintage inspired feel or set it up like the filmation with that stubby look. Yes, I have the Super7 Club Greyskull Trap-jaw in a box somewhere. I'm not sure if the arm would fit. I think it was articulated inside the drum and couldn't come off without breaking the glue. I had the figure out of the box one time because I wanted to modify that arm to something similar to this Trap-jaw with an Origins Trap-jaw mechanical arm and paint it. That's how I discovered that arm couldn't come off without customizing. I didn't want to ruin the figure. So I put him back in the box and didn't even bother getting him for a comparison with this figure.
He looks REALLY awesome, but him not coming with more arm accessories was a bummer. That's all good though I just use the figures as display only so he can only hold one at a time so I'm over it. 😂 That Two Bad looks pretty good the way that figure comes with both of them and the torso to make them connected. That's pretty cool. I'll be looking out for your video on 2 bad cause I know you'll have it up for review faster than most.
@BamaTony73 Thanks for checking out the review as well! They definitely did another great job on this Trap-jaw figure for the cartoon line. That cartoon new Two Bad looks awesome! I can't wait to get him in hand for review and my collection! I'll try to review him as soon as he is available, and I get one. I always disliked the Origins Trap Jaw head and I had hoped to be able to swap out this one but they made the Origins one’s neck different so the Cartoon head sits too high. So I just combined the Cartoon above the waist with the Origins below and now I have what I feel is the perfect Origins Trap Jaw.
Thanks for watching and sharing that custom Trap-jaw setup idea. Yeah it's a little strange how that Origins Vintage Trap-jaw is designed with the tabs in the head and a different neck. You really do much with that head on another figure with drilling open the head more and removing those stopping. But then the head will just sit on the regular neck and not articulate back and forth. It's cool that the Regular Origins and Cartoon Origins can mix all the other parts around like you did with that Trap-jaw to get him how you want without a lot of custom work!👌
@@zubairsarwar815 Thanks for watching this review! Yes the shade of Pink is lighter on this Cartoon Trap-jaw figure compared to the Animation colors. It seems like most of the colors are lighter on all these Origins Cartoon Collection figures compared to the animation from what I noticed so far.

Plus, I edit all the nonsense out and just stick to the cuts instead of turning the review/ parts swapping into an hour and a half hangout like some people might do with that. Teela is next on the list. I compare her and try to see what swaps between the first Origins Teela and the 2.0 Teela from Masterverse as a couple of people asked me to try it with the heads.
Ok, my cartoon, Teela Figure Review, is up with comparisons and what parts swapping I could do if you're interested! Thanks again for your support of this channel 👍

Thanks for checking out my reviews and sharing your thoughts! I think they did a decent job with the design and colors. Of coarse they aren't 100 percent perfect. That's more in line what the Classics did with the club grayskull Classics figures. Even they had issues. Yeah I think some of the choices or changes with the designs, Colors and Card art definitely has to do with Filmation rights and the Origins rights to produce certain figures and what they can do or have modify. I see this The Masterverse movie figures and there was also issues with certain Filmation figures in the Classics at that time. I think these choices is a good start to give people some decent cartoon inspired figures for the Origins line.
@@Themanchlid cartoon inspired perfect description 👌 I'm hoping masterverse do them 🙏 big cartoon "inspired" figures I could never afford super7 but they were nice ,these just give me ocd I'd end up repainting and sculpting huge parts of it new head for beastman etc .ive seen before with licenses can only be 70% accurate I like my movie figures think it's to do with budget limits but easy to perfect.
@benflay6038 It's possible the Masterverse could get into Cartoon figures down the road. But right now, Masterverse is involved in many other Sub line directions like Revelation, Revolution, New Eternia, and POP. So it might be a while before they try to do that. Yeah, cartoon figures are a good name for this collection instead of filmation figures. Because then they would have to be as detailed or accurate as the Super7 Club greyskull figures that are expensive, as you mentioned. And Origins is still a simpler looking line.
@@Themanchlid it's the simple inaccurate colours your painting it paint it right ? Definitely license .there doing new cartoon and pop is basically filmation so yeah they cover a lot I'll wait see

I do like your reviews
Another not right look at the arm look at the red 😮so close so far. Mer man has yellow hands why they blue ?
They can't get front card picture right it's red sky in opening not blue .not a still from cartoon what is this ?.I'm thinking dont have full license
@@Themanchlid cartoon inspired perfect description 👌 I'm hoping masterverse do them 🙏 big cartoon "inspired" figures I could never afford super7 but they were nice ,these just give me ocd I'd end up repainting and sculpting huge parts of it new head for beastman etc .ive seen before with licenses can only be 70% accurate
I like my movie figures think it's to do with budget limits but easy to perfect.
Definitely license .there doing new cartoon and pop is basically filmation so yeah they cover a lot I'll wait see
No comparison with Trap Jaw Club Grayskull????? Like ur review isnt complete with that wonderful fig
Lol. What's funny is I originally had him off to the side to make a quick Club greyskull comparison. But my Club greyskull Trap-jaw has a snapped neck in the ball head. I have to figure out a way to repair it. That's why I didn't bring that figure in.
i want mine
Nice!! He is one of the best cartoon figures yet in the Origins line!! Thanks for watching. I hope you get yours in hand soon 👍

Make Motu Great Again
Oh yeah!!!! 👍
the pink trap-jaw it seems like he has 80s ladies' leg warmers if you remember girls in high school had them in gym class, ???????.....i remember in my 80s high school days.......marius(punk rules).
@mariusbabii The colors are off slightly with these cartoon figures. He should have a more red tone on the armor. I do remember those pink leg warmers in school. Lol
