    Top class review. The colour does look different from the cartoon series. The other five cartoon figures do look like their cartoon version. Man at arms is an amazon exclusive.

      Thanks for stopping in to check out the review! I appreciate your positive comments. Yeah the color is very different from the filmation colors with this Beast Man. It still looks cool on it's own way aside from being able to mix with the other figures for parts swapping. I think the rest of the cartoon figures look better with th filmation colors as you mentioned. Man at Arms looks really good. I can't wait to see that figure 👍

    Seen a few reviews and yours is the best, you go into so much more detail which is great. Feels like a repeat of the 'Man-E-Faces' scenario with the colour :( , i prefer the sculpt though over the vintage one as never was a fan of that figure but filmation design i like.

      Thanks for checking out my review as well with this Filmation Beastman figure. Yeah I try do something different by mixing other parts or comparisions to simular figures or accessories that might be of interest to other collectors. It's very time consuming to do that. I appreciate the feedback! The sculpt is well done. I like the idea of having both the vintage inspired figures and now Filmation figures mixed into the Origins line. Something different for everyone!👍

      That awesome you like the new look of this Beastman figure. I like hearing the positive comments on this stuff. But it's ok to call things out or not like certain things too. I really like this Filmation line and the designs of this figure as well. I wish he was more on the Orange side to mix better between the other Origins Beastman figures like I showed. But I guess Mattel is doing something different with this filmation line and changing certain things different from the Animation like certain colors or tones. I can see some people only collecting certain figures from this line or not all. It's all what you like and want in the collection. Thanks for stopping in as always bro!👍

    Another top notch review ! Also on 5:42 the Club Grayskull Classics Filmation Beast Man your having is actually made by Mattel & not Super7. Mattel started Club Grayskull wave 1 of figures which included He-Man, Skeletor, Evil-Lyn, Beast Man & Evil Seed As Sub Exclusive. After King Hiss Snake torso fiasco & few bitter incidents, Mattel passed the license to Super7 & they ran with it. And we all know what happened later.
    I wish both continued the Filmation Classics line for more waves, unfortunately both had to discontinue it due to unfortunate events.

    • @Themanchlid
      @Themanchlid  11 месяцев назад +1

      Thanks for watching as always! I appreciate that info on the filmation Classics Beastman figure. I think I bought him loose. So I always thought Super7 made him. I remember picking up all of the Regular Classics from Mattel and preordering the Super7 ones. I also have a some of the Super7 filmation figures. But a few loose like the Beastman. I have Evil seed loose too.
      I guess Super7 Lost the MOTU license because of the Origins and Masterverse that came later from Mattel. I wish the Classics line was still going as well. I do like the Origins and Masterverse figures. They bring something different but yet feel feel like The Figures I grew up with in way. The Classics really had a good mix of The feeling of Nastalgia but yet something new and Modernized going back to the vintage line.

    • @Shiva-Kumar138
      @Shiva-Kumar138 11 месяцев назад +1

      @@Themanchlid Yeah... although Super7 had QC issues with their female Classics figures like "Double butt" Teela & Hawk, wonky face Sorceress & She-Ra, most of their male Filmation figures were home run. It was only after Super7 kickstarting the vintage inspired line, Mattel saw the overwhelming popularity from the fans (something which they failed to see it in the first place) & they snapped the license back for the Origins & Masterverse development.
      Hopefully they bring back Classics buck back as Mattel Creations exclusive in the future. I know it's like 1 out of 1000, but a guy can dream right ?? 😅

    • @Themanchlid
      @Themanchlid  11 месяцев назад

      @@Shiva-Kumar138 I liked that Super7 tried to go forward with the line. But every figure I ever got from super7 being Motu, Thundercats and Conan, had some kind of QC issue with joints. Accessories breaking or paint. That's just the dozen or so figures I removed and reviewed from them. Most of the stuff I keep in card. Yeah many people really want those Classics designs back! But im not sure if they will do that again. You never know!👍

      Thanks for stopping in bro! Yeah I wish it had the darker colors to change parts around with the other Beastman figures like I was trying to do but the colors didn't match for body parts. I was gonna switch boots for more details in the video. But I didn't want to make the video to much longer and the only other boots that would look cool is the typical He-man style boots. The vintage Beastman figures bare ankle boot coudent work either because the colors are off once again. Aside from that! Its cool to see Origins Cartoon inspired figures now!👍

      Thanks for stopping in Brushstroke! It's good to hear from you! I wasn't sure if I was gonna even get into this filmation line. I'm trying to stick with the main vintage inspired Origins or even the concept Snakemen figures. But once I got these figures in hand, I knew I would be collecting them all now! I think they look great for Origins. Some of the colors are off from the filmation cartoon. But they are Origins and trying to do something a little different to where the Super7 Club greyskull figures are more accurate to that show. Yeah, I'm not sure what the kids are into today. I think if the parents picked these up, they would like them for a while! I gave some loose Masterverse and Origins figures to my friend with kids, and they love them. But then get board and want something new! Lol

    Now that I see it in hand, I can see that the color is a bit off and almost “yellow-ish.” Honestly, it didn’t seem like that big of a deal to me, though. I saw some comments in the Facebook groups saying that the figure “looked nothing like the cartoon,” which I found extremely odd. Sure, the color doesn’t match exactly, but to say it looks nothing like the cartoon is a bit mind-boggling, because it looks instantly recognizable to me as a Filmation-style Beast Man. In my opinion, it looks pretty darn accurate, so that’s really what matters.
    I can see your point, though. Nice review as always!

    • @Themanchlid
      @Themanchlid  10 месяцев назад

      Yeah, the color is definitely more on the Yellow side. I'm not sure why they decided to go with that tone. It would have made more sense to keep it accurate to the filmation or the other Origins Beastman figures like I compared during this review because there would be plenty of custom options to mix parts between the Filmation and Origins like I also tried, but that yellowish color is an issue. Aside from that. I think he looks very filmation inspired like the Filmation He-man for the Origins. Aside from the lighter colors. Thanks for watching as always and sharing your thoughts 👍

    As incompetent as Mattel is with distribution and knowing their fan base needs, they’re not stupid lol. They know that if they just pumped out the rest of the vintage origins right now, most of us would stop buying it when done, and that would end the gravy train.
    They will space out the collection with collabs and deep cuts, which I my self am ok with because I have a list of guys I would like to see come out besides the vintage counterparts. If only these exclusives were dealt with a bit better for customers to purchase, especially outside the US.
    I’m digging this cartoon line. Not for me to collect completely due to space, but I would like to see them go deep for some accessibility to some characters we’d never see otherwise.
    This guy looks cool. I like how they include a specific accessory to an episode. I would of grabbed him if he had a better whip lol. Cool figure still, for an origins figure.

    • @Themanchlid
      @Themanchlid  11 месяцев назад +1

      Thanks for stopping in already to check out the review on this figure! Yeah I agree with you about some of the reasons Mattel isn't just gonna finish up the rest of the vintage figures quickly. I have this debate all the time in the comments. I too want the rest of those vintage figures before anything. But I don't mind seeing other stuff in the line and I'm thankful for all the figures they put out. The rest of the vintage figures are also very expensive to tool and manufacture. A figure like Modulok for example, will probley cost $250, 000 dollars to sculpt, tool, paint, box and Manufacture. They have to sell a lot of those to make the money back. It's mainly the collectors or scalpers that's buying this line. I don't see a bunch of Modulok figures being picked up at retail to justify the costs. Also the factorys require a Minimum Productions Order to make these figures for Retail. It could be between 25000 or 100000 figures or Units that have to be produced and paid for. Then they go to retail and next thing become peg Warmers and sit on clearance because not enough people are interested. So Mattel has to buy those back or make up the cost on what doesn't sell and then the retail dosent want newer figures from the brand when too many sit. So thats where Mattel Creations comes in to where they can produce a limited amount for a lower cost. It's not perfect. But thats another reason why the rest of the ñ vintage figures aren't being done so fast.

    • @TheWandifan
      @TheWandifan 11 месяцев назад +1

      @@Themanchlid yeah, I totally agree with you with the modulock sculpt. I’m actually not that disappointed that the rest of the origins vintage will end up on Mattel creations, just sucks that the shipping is pretty expensive to get to Canada with all the included fees. But it’s way easier to get than a Walmart exclusive, that’s for sure. We have Walmarts in Canada, but nothing ever shows up in our Walmarts, exclusive, wise. Nothing new has showed up at any of the Walmarts I go to either, that’s why I buy everything online.
      The remaining of the vintage origins do have a lot of more expensive sculpting. Today’s Mattel does not wanna eat the losses, of course no company does but nobody wants to take risks anymore. Especially when it’s a niche product, and that’s what toys, especially 80s toys like Motu are nowadays.
      But I think like most people, the biggest problem is the distribution of the exclusives. I understand why they’re exclusives, because these companies pay for a lot of the manufacturing process for Mattel, as part of the exclusivity. But if that’s the case, at least every Walmart and target should get some. I get why online is such a cluster fuck, because they want you to actually go to the store and buy something else. Soon as I go to Walmart with my wife, first thing I do is check out the toy section lol. Then of course I walk around and shop for other things like groceries because that’s where the cheapest groceries are at right now lol.

      There are many people who like to customize or paint figures to give them a certain or more accurate look. I myself will just leave them be. Maybe the colors has something to do with the mold injection machine plastic colors they are making with the molds instead of painting the body now. The new body style is interesting and can be mixed with parts with the original Origins as I showed. But because of the different colors in this figure. It's not going to work or look good. The filmation He-man is much better with color and mixes well with the first release He-man as I also showed in that review. Every single one of these damn cartoon collection figures could have been 1 step closer to finishing up our Vintage Collection. Everybody has been dying to get Two-Bad for the Origins vintage collection we've been working on for the past 3 years. Look how Mattel is delaying the shit out of our collection. Who knows how much longer it's going to take for MattelCreations to finish up the vintage collection. If they only release 1 vintage figure a month that's going to take a year & a half. There are still 15 vintage MOTU figures left + all the POP characters if they decide to make them. Plus whatever else they decide to throw in as filler. I bet they'll pad the line with more Snakemen variants. Or some more random characters like Kol-Dar or Frog Monger.
    Man, it's gonna take forever to finish this collection now. So close yet so far. I just wonder how long it will be til we get to Two-Bad or Dragstor??? • @Rocket1377

      No, it couldn't. The remaining vintage figures all require 100% unique tooling. The Filmation figures help offset those costs and convinces retailers to keep MOTU on store shelves. They actually increased our chances of Origins staying alive long enough to get the likes of Rio Blast and Extendar. It's a win-win situation.
