So much hate for Chris! I actually liked him as a character. I think he grows a lot as the story progresses. He comes off rather douchie in the beginning. ALSO, you guys really need to check the status updates to see how your choices are affecting the characters.
This game is like a guilty pleasure, please keep playing this one! ^_^ If I were a horror movie character, i'd probably be pretty useless and play dead or hide the entire movie. Also, as for tips on keeping Matt alive.... just be a jerk to Emily, try to ditch her.

And let's be real, Emily's an asshole, but you gotta respect how she handles herself in the mines and in the second half of the game, she definitely grew on me. Ashley is the worst, though, just a sobbing, fragile, misogynistic nerd fantasy who only exists in relation to Chris. Literally, her only jobs in the game are to open one door, and then not open another door. Jess and Matt are whatever but they're essentially just redshirts.

This entire playthrough can be summed up at 5:15 - 5:26 mark. Salty neck beard with arms crossed constantly ragging on Chris before his mom immediately utters “she’s the worst” right after Ashley has barely had a paragraph of lines delivered. They just suck. Crotchety Europeans the movie, is what this nearly unwatchable playthrough amounts to.
Start of the third act, two of the survivors make their way to a fire lookout tower in hopes that they find a radio to call for help. Meanwhile, a park ranger shows up at the lodge to check in on the high school/college kids. When the two enter the tower, they find the week-old corpse of the firewatch. They radio for help. The killer-in-a-ranger-suit's radio chirps to life with their mayday, alerting the survivors at the lodge. Chase scene, blah, blah blah. I'm the firewatch. Not only was I the first one killed, but I was killed weeks before anyone else. And all I wanted was some peace of mind after my wife developed early-onset dementia.

This game had a great story, hope you play it though to the end. It also had some great voice actors: Hayden Panettiere (Heroes, Nashville), Brett Dalton (Agents of SHIELD), Rami Malek (Mr Robot, Bohemian Rhapsody), and Peter Stormare (Prison Break, Constantine)
I am so ready for a full Johnny and Aoife Until Dawn lets play. This is one of my fave games. As for how I would die in a horror movie, I'd probably be that jackass that opens the door to the zombies because my cat is trapped outside. I deserve my brain being eaten.
I love watching people play this game; PlayStation Access played it one year and watching Nath and Dave going from laughing at them at the start, to deeply harrowed by the end (with comments like "I'm just dead inside now") was very amusing. Good luck guys!

The guy who gets killed immediately after he suggests the group should escape together. c. The guy who goes outside to check what that noise was, and never comes back. or d. The guy who dies early on, but isn't found until the last act of the film, when the final survivor is trying to hide somewhere, and accidentally stumbles upon my corpse. (Note that C and D are not mutually exclusive.)
I could watch you two play any game for hours on end. There's just so many things that work when you do a Let's Play together. Love the work guys, keep it up. :)
Almost two hours of y'all taking the piss out of "Shitty Teenagers: The Video Game" is exactly what I needed to get me through overtime at work tonight. I've never snort-laughed in my office before, but here we are.
I’m sooo looking forward to this series. Despite Johnny’s initial resistance I’m sure you both will discover why I and so many others really enjoyed this game :). Give the characters a chance, but also don’t feel too bad about murdering them horribly. That’s part of the fun.
So Johnny makes a version of Chris in his head, so he hates him really bad despite the fact that Chris has never say or do anything Johnny and Aoife say he's donne. I only hope they are not this judgmental with real people in real life
I never investigate strange noises, so I'd either die first because I didn't see the killer coming, or I'd survive because I wouldn't fall into the killer's trap.
Not sure I agree that it's a satire. I think I'd call this more of a pastiche. It both pays tribute to and pokes fun at slashers, but it *is* still a slasher. It's born from a love of the genre, and while it has some self reflexivity it's hardly Jonathan Swift. I also think there's a case to be made about it being an homage to the works of Kevin Williamson (Scream, Dawson's Creek, The Following); maybe more so than the horror genre itself. I should follow your LP (or just pick the game up again) and focus on analyzing it more closely. It's definitely an interesting game, and maybe I'll pick up on something I've missed.

I've been waiting for a whole playthrough of this since Johnny had such a terrible time in that LTTP. I can't wait to see how his opinions of the characters, especially Mike, change as the game continues. I recommend you try and go for a "They All Live" run, at least at first since the game is a lot shorter when you're trying to kill everyone. Funnier, but shorter

It's funny you ask that question Johnny. Some of my creative writing buddies talked this over with me at a cabin in the woods. They decided that in a horror movie I would be the person everyone thinks is the killer but who ultimately sacrifices themselves to save the others from the real killer

I've really enjoyed your Dark Souls and Bloodborne let's plays (picked up Bloodborne myself because of it and suck at it so far, lol), and I'm super excited to see you two play through this full game! I've done several playthroughs and your actions genuinely have an effect on the outcome of the game, down to characters having different dialogue at certain points if you do/don't find some of the clues scattered around and there being different ways/locations where people can die. The teens are mostly silly stereotypes, but I found myself liking things about all of them by the end. Yes, even Emily. (And even Chris, though I accidentally killed him on my first playthrough, since I suck at aiming. ) If I were a horror movie character, I'd probably be the nerdy one who does all the research on the local legend/ghost/monster/whatever that helps the survivors get out alive, but I'd definitely die before the end.
Leaving my comment before watching video ( cant you tell 😁 ). PLEASE, PLEASE! PLEASE! Do a full Lets Play of the entire game. I really enjoyed this game though it is a slow starter. I was thrilled when I saw PlayStation Access and Platform32 do full Lets Plays and have always secretly hoped to make it a Quadfecta with Eurogamer and Oxtra. Johnny you will, eventually, enjoy yourself.
I'd be the random stranger who tries to help and accidentally gets in the way of a killing blow... I can't wait to see you guys play this out. This game isn't perfect, but it is a good beginning on making horror games more replayable and interesting.
I'd be the one who refuses to believe there really is a serial killer. Because, hey, what even are the odds of encountering a real serial killer. Even when lots of killing starts happening, I would figure people disappearing one by one with horrifying screams is just some elaborate plot to mess with me. I would be one of those that survive. Not because I'm smarter than all of the others, not because my mom is secretly a ninja. Just because I got bored of all the shenanigans and decided to go back home where it's nice and quiet, to fall asleep with a good book.
I went back to have another look at the Late for the Party where Johnny played this with Chris (may he rest in peace) and wow the new studio's lighting is amazing in comparison.
How I learned how bad sheep actually smell... When I was seven years old we went on a family hike through Howarth and up on to the Top Withens in the Pennines. We stopped to eat our packed lunches and tiny me sat on a rock with my back to the wind, my mum handed me a chicken sandwich and I began troffing. Because the wind was pretty strong we all had our backs to it and that is how we came to smell them before seeing them. Now, if you've ever left a woollen jumper to dry naturally after being caught in the rain you'll have the beginnings of a notion as to how they smell, combine that with the smell of diarrhoea after a bad Sunday carvery and you'll be getting close. A pungent stench washed over us and we turned to see a flock of grimy, damp sheep descending upon us, we first thought 'aww, sheeps' but then one particularly big sheep latched eyes upon my sandwich and with a quick dash was upon me, it's teeth inches from my face, its small sharp hooves digging in to my thighs as it tried to snatch the poultry treat from my fingers. Fearful for my hands, in pain from being trampled and overwhelmed by the smell of wet wool, shit and mud I did the one thing, the only thing i could. I started to laugh! My mum came to the rescue by cracking my attacker in the face with her, admittedly terrible choice in footwear for the Pennines, schol, the ghastly sheep retreated and we all rallied and made loud noises to scare them away. Then my aunt sat on a wasp! The End.
If you want all of them to live you have to remember 2 things: 1. Be nice to animals 2. Don't follow the noices! Also if you ever have to chose between saving Josh or someone else, save someone else, Josh will be fine.

Tips: The more clues u find the more the characters will comment on their findings which can help u solve what is going on & keep characters alive if u want. Also some of the character do get better as u play but some u will dislike for the entire game & ur choices no matter how small could possibly decided who lives & who dies
Place your bets on how many kids survive. I'm going with 3. Also, I don't expect lasting long if I were in a horror film. I'd probably see something happen, get super paranoid, and somehow wind up in the killer's den.
I can be funny sometimes, so I say I'd make it to the start of the third act when the surviving members of the cast feel like they might just make it out alive and then I die in a horrendously brutal fashion to re-establish threat.

Just so you know, the visions from the Totems can only be seen by you,the player, the NPC's do not see them.

Leaving my comment before watching video ( cant you tell 😁 ). PLEASE, PLEASE! PLEASE! Do a full Lets Play of the entire game. I really enjoyed this game though it is a slow starter. I was thrilled when I saw PlayStation Access and Platform32 do full Lets Plays and have always secretly hoped to make it a Quadfecta with Eurogamer and Oxtra.

I'd be the random stranger who tries to help and accidentally gets in the way of a killing blow... I can't wait to see you guys play this out. This game isn't perfect, but it is a good beginning on making horror games more replayable and interesting.

I'd be the one who refuses to believe there really is a serial killer. Because, hey, what even are the odds of encountering a real serial killer. Even when lots of killing starts happening, I would figure people disappearing one by one with horrifying screams is just some elaborate plot to mess with me. I would be one of those that survive. Not because I'm smarter than all of the others, not because my mom is secretly a ninja. Just because I got bored of all the shenanigans and decided to go back home where it's nice and quiet, to fall asleep with a good book.

I went back to have another look at the Late for the Party where Johnny played this with Chris (may he rest in peace) and wow the new studio's lighting is amazing in comparison.

How I learned how bad sheep actually smell...
When I was seven years old we went on a family hike through Howarth and up on to the Top Withens in the Pennines. We stopped to eat our packed lunches and tiny me sat on a rock with my back to the wind, my mum handed me a chicken sandwich and I began troffing. Because the wind was pretty strong we all had our backs to it and that is how we came to smell them before seeing them. Now, if you've ever left a woollen jumper to dry naturally after being caught in the rain you'll have the beginnings of a notion as to how they smell, combine that with the smell of diarrhoea after a bad Sunday carvery and you'll be getting close.
A pungent stench washed over us and we turned to see a flock of grimy, damp sheep descending upon us, we first thought 'aww, sheeps' but then one particularly big sheep latched eyes upon my sandwich and with a quick dash was upon me, it's teeth inches from my face, its small sharp hooves digging in to my thighs as it tried to snatch the poultry treat from my fingers. Fearful for my hands, in pain from being trampled and overwhelmed by the smell of wet wool, shit and mud I did the one thing, the only thing i could.
I started to laugh!
My mum came to the rescue by cracking my attacker in the face with her, admittedly terrible choice in footwear for the Pennines, schol, the ghastly sheep retreated and we all rallied and made loud noises to scare them away.
Then my aunt sat on a wasp!

Tips: The more clues u find the more the characters will comment on their findings which can help u solve what is going on & keep characters alive if u want. Also some of the character do get better as u play but some u will dislike for the entire game & ur choices no matter how small could possibly decided who lives & who dies

Also, I don't expect lasting long if I were in a horror film. I'd probably see something happen, get super paranoid, and somehow wind up in the killer's den.

I can be funny sometimes, so I say I'd make it to the start of the third act when the surviving members of the cast feel like they might just make it out alive and then I die in a horrendously brutal fashion to re-establish threat.
