    We packed for a 2 week BRP ride from MS using this guide. Our Tri Glide was loaded down and had a cooler carrier too. GREAT TRIP because we packed properly. Thanks !! We did use two bags specifically designed for the TriGlide trunk. Remember.... any where you go, there is apt to be a laundry close by .

    Ok , so It’s not every day you see somebody take a 40 or 50 day motorcycle ride. Not only one time. That is a lot of stuff. You cram a lot in a small space. But your experience shows what you want and what you need and how to pack it efficiently. Very well thought out. E-cig supplies? Really! That’s funny. Stuff sacks are a great idea. 3300 miles in 12 days=275 miles per day. That’s a good day. Never leave your heat behind. Great video Kevin thanks for taking the time to make this video. Looking forward to the next one.

      We have another one coming with packing the Tour Pak, and another on what tools I take.
      A typical day, when we are "on our way to somewhere" is 350-400 miles. If we are where we want to ride, it could be as little as 100-200 miles, just depending.
      Yes, after my brush with death quite a few years ago, we made the decision to not put off the things we want to do until retirement...it was a reminder that you never know when the time on this earth is up.

    It is amazing how much you can pack on a Tri Glide. We are loving our 2021. We bought the fitted suit cases for the. truck which leaves room for my tools, rain gear and extra jackets.

    Thank you for the packing tips. For some reason on my 2016 Triglide I also pack a tire inflator machine and the mini-battery pack to jump start a low or dead battery. On every-trip I try not to pack them because they do take up a lot of room. But, I always do. Also excellent point on much room there is on the sides and top of the trunk. Oh, and I also pack a first aid kit. I also sue compression cubes for packing. Again, thank you so much. Going to pack a plastic bag for my sheepskin seat cover.

      Also, good advice on the jump pack. I completely forgot that. We do pack one, but forgot to do that in the video.
      We do pack a super small, USB chargable air compressor. We've been using it for a couple of years and it is great.
      I should have mentioned, our first aid kit is in that roll-up toiletries bag.

    When packing my trike for a weekend or a week or more, which i also tow an Elite camper trailer. In the trunk i have two carry bags designed for the Tri Glide trunk, with external pockets at one end. One of the bags has the jack and tools, oil, and anything else that the bike may require. The other bag has the seat rain cover and wet weather riding gear folds/rolls into a bag and water bottles. And my Ulysses toiletry bag, which is great for the bike, and keeps all toiletries together, that fits between the two bags, the collapsible wash bucket and sponge goes on top of a bag. And anything else that i require quick easy access, loss tools for the trailer fits at the front of the bags on the bottom of the trunk for easy access. removing the camper trailer as well as a dririder jacket and pants and runners and thongs. The top box i use another easy carry bag and place all clothes, underwear, socks, pyjamas, t-shirts, long sleeve tops and a jumper or jacket and towels those microfibre towels and face washers and laptop or tablet and gadgets. I also have a RikRack bag that sits on top of the Top box. Which i put an extra helmet, and riding gear, two external pockets, leads, battery's, other nick nacs change of gloves and googles, Extra riding gear is for change in weather. More protection or if i want to remove my jacket i have plenty of room in the RikRack luggage bag, as well as store my helmet, and able to lock the bag. As the day clothes go into the top box i do not need quick access to these items, until the end of the day, Easier to have bags with straps for carrying and i am not sorting through stuff. I also have the fender panniers for drinks and other nic nacs when riding and bug cleaner and rags, oil funnels, as well as front storage pockets, tissues, helmet, glass cleaner etc. and wiping rags. for the screen/ and bug cleaner. This way i am all set up for those long-distance hauls. The camper trailer has the fridge and all the camping equipment, sleeping bags, pillows extra blanket, also carry a small spare tent and chair and pump-up mattress and pump and deaflatable small pillow. For emergency, it can be moved to fit in the trike for emergency accommodation. If anything was to happen to the camper trailer. I also place an empty 5lt fuel container in the trunk, just in case i need to use it. I am looking at placing a couple of lockable fuel containers on the Camper. I also noticed the rear trunk on occasions opens when going over rough surfaces, that is also one of the reasons i pack everything into bags, It contains everything in the bag if it was to bounce out. It has not yet as of the weight of the stuff in the bags. I would hate to get down the road and find that something had fallen out.I did have the tourpak lid storage, i removed as lid was not closing with the tourpak bag.

    Did you put the rain suits in the tour pack or have I jumped ahead

    • @DKCustomProducts
      @DKCustomProducts  3 года назад

      Great question. If there is a possibility of rain, they go in a stuff sack on the Tour-Pak rack for easy access. If no chance of rain they will probably end up in the stuff sack in the trunk.

    Would you pull a little guy my pod behind a 2020 tri glide

    • @DKCustomProducts
      @DKCustomProducts  Год назад

      From looking at the weights, over 700 lbs, that may be too much....I don't know if I would.
      We have pulled cargo trailers, and 3 different pop-up tent trailers, over the years. But the most weight was probably 500 lbs, and the tongue weight was less, and the profile (wind resistance) was less.
      Links below are to a couple of trailers being pulled by us-

      They are bulky, but when riding the motorcycle you are usually wearing the helmet so really not much of a need to pack the helmets. Thank you for commenting! 😎 MB

    HAS ANYONE EVER PUT A CARGO CARRIER ON THE BACK OF A TRI gLIDE?

    • @DKCustomProducts
      @DKCustomProducts  3 месяца назад

      Yes, there are quite a few Tri Glides we have seen that have cargo carriers on them....depending on rider/passenger/trunk/tour pak weight, will determine how much weight you can load on the carrier without the front tire getting light.
