VIDEO & BLOG-Have you ever wondered how to properly fold/roll your clothes in a compact way before taking that next motorcycle trip? Do you want to save room in your saddle bags, trunk, or T-bag? I learned this technique and it had nothing to do with bikers. In fact, it was some crummy video on some social media site with a mother packing her son's swim bag. A light bulb (not often for me) went off and I just knew that I needed to get this out to bikers/motorcyclists. I wanted to share it with the awesome law abiding biker community, who has been so supportive of this platform.
As bikers/motorcylists we all know how precious room is when packing clothes for a long motorcycle trip. So, any technique we can learn that can help us get organized and save room is a must!
In this video I show you how to fold a T-shirt, underwear, & socks into what I now call the "Law Abiding Biker Clothes Pack". You can make one of these compact bundles for each day of your trip. Or maybe you wear the same underwear the entire motorcycle trip. Who am I to judge? So, you wake in the morning, grab your next "clothes pack", and BAM-you have fresh underwear, socks, and T-shirt! And you saved a ton of room in your motorcycle bags.
Additionally, after you wear the clothes in each "clothes pack" and they are dirty, you can fold/roll them back up into the "clothes pack" and put them in a different place, thus still saving room.

I packed extra pants on a cross country motorcycle trip from Florida to Oregon down the California coast and back. Camped along the way. I never needed to change the pants I started with. Kuhl convertible pants (zipper on legs to convert to shorts if necessary. I experienced a few storms but pants dried quickly while riding. I found the extra pants to be wasted space.

Oh my goodness! This is just too smart! This is handy for packing whether on a bike or otherwise. I drive my hubby nuts with my heavy packing each vacation we take and that's in a pickup truck. 🙄😜 Thank you for sharing!

wish I would have watched this before I went to biketoberfeast in Daytona could have fit more in my bag, great video!
I am not a biker but I do have 3 kids under 10 and it is a pain organizing, folding and packing all of their little undies. We are going to see family for New Years and I tell you---I have EVERYTHING in ONE garment bag. No rolling suitcase for me to tote.
Thank you for the key to compact packing. I wish my dad were still alive to see this, he would LOVE it!!! He hated carrying all of my mom's bags. He would have all her stuff rolled in tube socks.

this also good for any kinds of trips .In fact when I used to be a long haul trucker my then partner taught me that trick that way when I went to change sock t shirt under pants all I had to was grab one bundle vs digging out socks t shirt and under pants

I roll up all my clothes and put them in zip lock bags. They stay fresh and dry (incase you luggage leaks during the rain) And all my soiled clothing goes in another zip lock bag. Just push all the air out and seal them. You'll be surprised how much you can carry in your saddlebags!!

good trick . I have a 42lt top case on my work horse . I carry inside it a small sports bag with shoulder strap .in the main compartment I carry a 2 piece wet suit rolled tight legs in first then jacket in a zip close cosmetics bag I also carry a pair of snow boarding trousers rolled up and tied with a shoe lace I set it up so its easy open . in there I also carry a road map bottle of drinking water and half a toilet roll good for cleaning the visor plus either a clear or black visor in a helmet bag fleece neck tube spare socks and bike gloves if I like in case mine get wet and head harness led flash light . in the side pocket I carry a steel cable and pad lock a few tools fuses cable ties insulating tape spare front break and clutch leavers in another small zip close bag in the other side I carry a micro fleece sweater and some pain killers just in case . when on the road I can bring home some grocers o rwhat ever by transferring heavy items from the bag along with heavy items like a case of beer or cartons of milk or a sack of potatoes then wear the sports bag over my shoulder .

nice i am going to show my son who is a bit of a slob, he goes packing alot with the scouts and this would help him a lot . i dont see why you couldnt add some light weight shorts to this.

I use my chap pack as a pillow at night, wrapped in my leather jacket. Saves room on the bike so I don't have to pack a pillow

Does anyone know the best way to fold your leather jacket so it can be strapped down to the handel bars with no worries?

Now quick question: what if you don't use crew/tube socks? I tend to use no show / ankle socks, so would I just role them up inside with the underwear and then use a couple rubber bands or something to tie it closed?
