This was a great video. I have searched for information on Thomas Tew myself and couldn't find much. Thank you for your work. Can't wait for the next one. I just subscribed to your channel.
I spoke to three authors in the course of researching this video, normally I can hunt down the source material myself, but this time around I needed help. Matthew Frick had been trying to find the provenance of the chest allegedly belonging to Tew that's in the possession of the Pirate Museum and that's how he ended up writing his book. As known as he was in the time period, it's strange how little has been actually written about him.
Thank you for your great video, im looking forward to watching more of them, thank you for taking the time for making the videos they are really interesting. I LOVE history. Um just a little thing, Tew is pronounced tue as in the word tue sday. Keep doing what your doing. You take care too 😊
That's gotta be the best pirate escape story I've ever heard. "Excuse me sir, is there an escape route we could use?" XD Love the authentic outfit as well!
Thank you. My favorite part which is sadly out of the scope of this series are his complaints to William III, they are preserved in official court docket form that are familiar to both Americans and British. "It's cold and dirty, I don't want to be here."
Sucks to hear about all the crap about bad faith and racist comments flooding into your previous video, I can only imagine the nonsense you had to curate given the topic of this series :/ Either way, loving this series on the Round, looking forward to the next installment.
Thank you for your dedication to historical study. This series is very informative and fascinating.
Thank you, it's been fun for me too, there is so much new scholarship.
Awesome video. Thank you for this
Piracy is always an intriguing topic and videos covering them area always a good watch. =)

That's hilarious! One can only imagine the look on the face of the officer who had to process that complaint...
