I like to think that Grog is the only one who knows he’s in a game, but just doesn’t understand the ramifications that brings.

i like how when travis says a word that's too advanced for grog, he pretends grog had a nosebleed or a headache or passes out. or when he has a thought that's remotely intelligent, it hurts.
"your word is safe with us because i don't know what you're talking about" is one of my favorite lines from grog XD
I think it often goes underappreciated how quick witted and good at improv Travis has to be to make many of these jokes.
“It means if I die you win” is one of the best character moments from Percy

I just adore how Travis always commits to the bit.
"Grog, one hundred needs three hands."
"How many?"
"Three hands."
"How many?"
It'd be so easy to slip and just go, "Ah, right, I get it." and end the bit. But... *no*. He's got the bit, and he's not gonna let it go. Absolute class act.
So in c1 travis could have fun being crazy and do reckless stuff.
In c2 he wanted to try a smarter, more serious character, AND we saw him overcome the romance thing.
Now c3 chetney is a mix of everything, he can be chaotic and reckless, but also incredibly smart, and on top of that he's got no qualms about the romance thing.
The progression is so good lol
My favorite Grog moment has got to be when Kima broke his mind. Will not understand how he kept his face straight. 😂
The best Grog was when he went potion shopping and the merchant liked him and gave a good deal. Then Vex butted in assuming he was too dumb to haggle and the Matt quietly gave her a terrible deal and she didn’t even know Grog was better with money.
Forgot how much I love that last one, Kima is the best and no one does cute gentle giant like Grog

It's the total deadpan Travis delivered everything as Grog that made it special.

Grog is the most edumedicated man in the group.
Ran a game, the dumbest guy in the group rolled a nat 20 to figure out the monsters weakness. If that had not happened I would have been a TPK. P.S. that was how the player was rolling the whole day.🤪🤣

Oh god, I forgot about the amount of meta gaming that was going around from some people about Grog having a Deck of Many Things.

@@joshuaryan2341They took it because they(the players) knew what it was, when in campaign, the characters shouldn't have known the danger and really shouldn't have cared as much. The first campaign was full of them making meta decisions, it was one of the biggest complaints I saw.
Man I miss Grog, I like fjord he's a fantastic character but Travis playing Grog is just the best
