Our rouge drew Rouge, Euryale, Flames, and Idiot, but drew Key on his extra card. And finally their fighter friend drew Vizier, Knight, and Moon (also rolled 3 wishes). They told the fighter to use his wishes to give them 3 permanent resistances (which is RAW) so now everyone has resistance to all physical damage. I know a lot of DM's are afraid of putting the Deck of Many Things into their campaign because of it being too powerful... but a simple solution to that is to replace some of the more powerful cards with weaker versions if your characters are low level. For instance, perhaps instead of 1d3 wishes the player is given 1d3 days of Enlightened Skills (Advantage on all Rolls), and maybe instead of the pesky Void Spell that puts your soul into an object and lets a powerful entity guard it the card instead automatically put the player into a contract with the powerful entity. If the character is perhaps weak-willed then they may be swayed by the entity and do evil acts in the hope of power(essentially giving them the choice to switch to Warlock)). Though if the player refuses they'll simply keep ignoring the entity until they are hit with a Greater Restoration Spell (Which the party would likely have to find someone who could do such if they're low level). These are just a couple ideas on the more powerful effects in the deck. Really it's up to the DM, but never underestimate how much fun the item can be. Good luck out there!
