- Hi friends ♡
These past few weeks were crazy! My thesis presentation is right around the corner (I’m graduating soon woohoo!), and I was worried I wouldn't be able to finish recording and editing this video. But here I am editing it until 5am (* ´ο`*) so I might sound a little sleepy haha. I really hope you find this video helpful. I’m going to sleep now. Enjoy the video ~

The Grayscale tutorial will be posted this Friday, Jan 5 at 6PM EST ❤ Hope you’ll find it helpful and thank you so much for the lovely comments under this video 🥹💕
This was so helpful! I don't really use grayscale in my drawings but I've been looking at grayscale tutorials because I feel like it could help me draw faster/more efficiently (because I can concentrate on values and anatomy first and don't have to worry about colours until later)... Your art is really really good btw!
I’m glad you found it helpful ❤ you should try it out!
Wow this is really impressive I never knew that you could use grayscale like this…
And I love how soft your colours are. Keep up the good work👍
Thank youu! ❤ I’ll try my best! 🫡
Thank you!! I've seen some wips from artists showing a version in greyscale before a version in color and always wondered how they did it :)
Thank you so much! I’ve wanted to know how to do this for years but no one was helpful in explaining until I came across this video. Thank you thank you thank you!!

Wuh, this is exactly what I was looking for in semi-realistic art. I always wanted to render them to look 3d. You are very skilled, would love to learn how you rendered it so beautifully in greyscale. Well done, teach me your ways lol ❤

You’re so underrated holy
Aww thank you!!
Ikr she deserves so much more
This is the right way to do grayscale to color, actually you can add the color first [normal mode layer], then copy the color layer and conver it to black and white, this way you will have your values saved, then add the shadows on the black and white layer and then move the colors on top of the shadows layer and change it it color mode.
This process is way differnet than adding multiply layer on top of the color layer to add shadows.
Whoa, I can color pick from reference? Why I didn’t know that?
This is pretty
Thanks!
Can you do a tutorial on how you do the greyscale I just don't know, your artstyle is really good keep going🤗
Thank you! I’ll see what I can do 💕
@@owloartyes please!! Whenever i do grayscale.. i put the color layer on and color it but then all of my grays look muddy and the color is either saturated or desaturated do you know what im doing wrong??
@@anaiahk4507 sometimes the color we pick might not turn out like how we want so u can try to play around with the hue, saturation and brightness (3:29 in the video). And you can also have an extra overlay on top to brush over different colors if needed. Try experimenting with different layer mode. For me, “Color” mode works best! I hope this helps :)
What brush do you use for smooth rendering?
I use the soft airbrush when I use the smudge tool
How teach greyscale
Sorry for the late reply. I recently made a video on grayscale tutorial :)
Did you draw the cat
