THANK YOU!!! FINALLY A VIDEO THAT'S STRAIGHT TO THE POINT!! I really like the close up of each technique. I have thinning locs that I don't want to cut but combine and now I know how😊
I've done the Senegalese/2-strand method on my own. The 3rd (crochet) method was done on me by someone else, it was extremely time consuming (I had at least 30 locs combined at one time) but was worth it!
I’m 4 months into my journey and I’m thinking of two strand twisting them to make them bigger. I’m hoping that this works out since I’m still in the beginning. Thanks for the video!
thank you I needed to see that two strand twist cause no matter how hard I tried my twist would unravel whew following your lead the one did stayed twist so excited .
Just this past Sunday I had to combine a few of my son's locs due to thin root base in the front. Well, let's just say if next time I see him they've unraveled, now I know what to do! Thanks for the tips (and thanks for the win!! Woohoo! yes, you pronounced it right!)
Do u know of the machine needle for locs already locked to make wicks? Not to make locs on loose hair but a needle that does the hand work of combining
OMG thank you so much for making this video! I've been wondering how to get rid of the 2 headed dragon locs, I have 4 locs that have eloped & I'm to scared to cut one of the heads off as someone suggested so I'm going to purchase a small crochet needle so they can be one!
Good so far. I have about 3 different hair textures so this method I believe will work easier. And I'm gonna sew together to get rid of the rubber bands.
Hey thanks for the tips and tricks. I was wondering, How long does it generally take for a two strand twist to combine and loose the seams? I can imagine it takes quite awhile...
For me it took a little over a year. For my husband, its been 2 going on 3 and hey still aren't fully locked yet. It really just depends on your hair and the stage that you're trying to combine your locs. If your locs are young and frizzy, they'll combine faster than mature locs.
Thanks for the info. Once I combined a few of mine, they basically turned into a rope, they are locked that hard. I can't even squeeze them, lol. So I'm thinking these twists will never lock up.. I just sewed the last like inch or so, instead of the whole length and they are holding like a champ. So I have these normal locs and a few of the twists. I'm just going over my whole head, combining the little ones. It's all good tho. It's just hair. I'm a just let it do what it do lol.

Hello,Do suggest combining before or after the budding stage?
Before. There’s more loose hair available to help the locs merge together
