This is the best tutorial I’ve seen. Every video Ive watched they crochet the loc too fast and I can’t see the motion they’re doing. Very good video and great method. I will try it.
Thank you so much for posting this. Looked at prices for a locologist to do this for me. $2000 is a damn lie. Buying some crochet needles tonight and will be following this video.
Hey there, I have been searching for a good tutorial. You have the best one that I have come across. This method definitely makes sense to me. Thank you for sharing.
OMG thank you so much all the people will not let you see how to convert your hair, thank you so much may God bless you on everything I love thank you for keeping it real❤🎉
Thank you soooo much. I agree with the other comments. Yours is thee best tutorial. Others go so fast and don’t explain what the hook is supposed to do. I want to combine my entire head so I can have thicker locs. This is a blessing!
I am so happy that this video has been helpful for so many! I used to try to find helpful tutorials as well and sometimes they would be hard to follow so I really wanted to focus on the details! I appreciate you for commenting! 🙏🏽
Just did it after watching this you made it sound way easier other people and it was! Barely looks like they were ever two locs and will look even better after the first wash.
Sis, this is the best tutorial for combining locs that I have found. I am sending you the biggest hug of thanks from Columbia SC. Just what I was looking for.
For those of you watching this video my prayer is that you ALL come to know JESUS CHRIST OF NAZARETH as your LORD AND SAVIOR. ROMANS 10:9 say that if we confess with our mouth and believe in our heart that GOD raised JESUS from the dead we will be saved.
Thanks, I've been trying to figure out how to do this for yrs. Every video is so fast and I can never see the process in full. This makes so much more sense.
My loctician was going to charge me $150 for only 7 locs! Sadly I have two huge locs, but it’s better then three tiny locs that could fall off any minute. I wrote an Amazon review on the tools & said that your video was the best one I watched. One guy said, “ I mean I don’t know how to explain it.”😂 Thank you, you were a huge help!
You are very welcome! Loc maintenance gets so expensive! 😭 I’m so happy that this helped you and the tools i used! It’s literally been the easiest and the only way that has given the long lasting results and the look I wanted. So happy to help! 🤗
OMG! I've been trying to figure out how to do for the longest time! I did the sewing thing, and yeah..I'm tired of seeing the threads..Thank you for this EASY tutorial 🙌🏾
Let me start by saying thank you so much for this. I will start doing this tomorrow to my butt length locs. This is the best tutorial I have seen. Appreciate you sis! ❤
I was wondering, can you just leave them 2 strand twisted and let them combined on their own? I have my locs 2 strand twisted currently and I love the thickness and it makes my grid more symmetrical. The lady who started my locs jacked my grid up.
Ah, Sis, God bless you for sharing this. I had combined mine and sewed the ends with strands of expression hair. It's holding together but I sure wish I had seen this earlier. I'll certainly be using this method for my daughter. Once again, thank you so much for this!!!
First of all I love the fact that you are not covered in makeup. I love the fact that you do not feel the need to be half naked in your video. I hope this video encourages others to be more real and 'natural.' Thanks!
Yesss! We def have to love ourselves more just the way we are! Thank you so much, this comment really made me smile! I hope I can inspire others as well! 😌🤗
Thank you Thank you Thank you!!! I two strand twisted my locs and when I took them down some of them had started loc'n together. So they looked split on the ends. You saved me. Lol
This is what I’m going to have to do w mine. I have really fine thin hair and call myself trying to get sister locs. & now some of my locs are breaking off to the point you can see my curls. So I’m just going to have to combine them
I’ve only done it when my hair was dry but i’d say damp would be good as well! If the locs are soaking wet im not sure how easy the crotchet method will be 🤔 now i want to try it just to see lol
A easier way to do this is to not to two stran twist your locs, take each loc and pull hair from each loc, basically meaning to distress the loc then start to combine your hair it will give it a seamless look and a forever hold. By doing it the way that you are, it’s making it much harder on your hands and locs trying to get two mature locs to combine when there’s no hair or rather lose hair outside of that loc to help you combine the two. Doing it your way you can also damage your hair overtime it works but it’s a lot more damaging.
The locs that I have combined so far have been very thin so it made sense at the time to create the twist to have a stronger, sturdier base. It has worked for me so far! 🤗 Thank you for watching and thank you so much for the suggestion!
How long did it take the two strand pattern to go away, i want to try this on a few of mine that have the same thing but i dont want my locs to look like two strand twist
The time frame could vary based on your hair texture and how often you palm roll, loc brush etc. For me, id say it got less noticeable after a year and a half.
My locs ain't even long enough to do this yet I'm only a month in xD but thank you so much for this information I'll never forget it and I know it'll help me in the future
Mine soften up as soon as I started moisturizing them since they weren't super thick. Also i would experience some unraveling if i didn't do it well or if i did it before a wash and wasn't super gentle but eventually it would stay!
Hello love🙏🏽 I think the level of difficulty would be based on the thickness of your locs love! If they are slimmer I don’t see why a single wouldn’t work! 🤗
I only needed to do a few so it took a matter of 30 mins or so…not long at all with this method. Of course, if your locs are thinner or you want to do way more it will take a little longer. I’m glad this was helpful for you! 🤗
Mine was the exact same way at. one point so I definitely feel your pain. I always do this on dry locs (I havent tried it on wet locs so im not sure how it would turn out) and it's worked well for me. One con to it is some shedding though so heads up for that!
I’d only recommend washing prior, if anything at all because with this method , you def dont want them too wet or slippery. Then after you’ve combined the ones that you wanted to, you can oil and moisturize them. ☺️
I’ve had some thinning locs and what i do is take a really thin one and two strand twist it with a thicker one and do the crotchet needle method. After that, I palm roll really well and i’m good to go!

My hair is really long it's past my shoulders do you recommend this for girls who have sister locks medium to small size
Ty 4 the tutorial , it’s looks awesome
This is the best tutorial I’ve seen. Every video Ive watched they crochet the loc too fast and I can’t see the motion they’re doing. Very good video and great method. I will try it.

yes, it was
Thank you so much for posting this. Looked at prices for a locologist to do this for me. $2000 is a damn lie. Buying some crochet needles tonight and will be following this video.

You just stopped me from crying and cutting my locs off! ❤
I’m so glad this helped you! 🤗
This video is what I have been looking for. Some thin locs have been driving me absolutely crazy. Thank you. I am following you immediately

Wow S/O to you with this butt length locs!!!😍 So glad that you found this video helpful!!
Definitely a easier method💜
This is the best video on using a crotchet needle even! Thank u!
You are so welcome!
I’m going to try this. The twisting first makes sense
It def helps to create that solid foundation! 🤗
I prefer your method of twisting and then crocheting. It makes more sense to me to do it that way.
I was wondering, can you just leave them 2 strand twisted and let them combined on their own? I have my locs 2 strand twisted currently and I love the thickness and it makes my grid more symmetrical. The lady who started my locs jacked my grid up.
Great tutorial and I never comment. Really needed this!
I’m glad it was helpful!
Thank you soooo much!! I got a couple of locs that I need to combine! The best tutorial fr! You make it look so easy!
You're so very welcome love and it was SO easy! The last thing you wanna do is be struggling in the mirror for hours at a time 🥲 lol
Yess ma'am hunty!!!!
Glad I came across your video no one has ever done it like this
It is so quick and simple, right? Glad this was helpful!

@ 6:36 song name ??
Thank you ma’am, some of my locs around my edges are thinning due to my barber smh. This was just what I needed to see to solve my problem!
My wife is currently recovering from having the barber push the taper back too far smh that is the worst. I’m glad this was helpful!
I see myself doing this in the future! Thank you!
You are very welcome! 😊
Thank you! I needed this tutorial!

The best tutorial on this .
I combined about 20 locs. Thank you for this

I’m considering combining mine. Great video!
Thank you!!! This is just what I needed! I’m so tired of my locs coming undone from each other
You are so very welcome love🤗
After somebody tried to charge me
$25 per loc I will be doing it myself lol!!
$25 per loc is WILD!! lol girl the effort is worth saving the coin for sure!
Thank you Thank you Thank you!!! I two strand twisted my locs and when I took them down some of them had started loc'n together. So they looked split on the ends. You saved me. Lol
I’m so glad this was helpful! ❤️ Those little chicken feet ends be annoying! 😭lol
Did you wash your hair before doing the crocheting?
No, i didn't but you can!
Thank you for teaching us how to do that 😊

This is what I’m going to have to do w mine. I have really fine thin hair and call myself trying to get sister locs. & now some of my locs are breaking off to the point you can see my curls. So I’m just going to have to combine them
Oh yes, deciding your loc type has a lot to do with hair texture and density. I'm so glad that this video could help love! 🤗
Very easy thank you
You’re welcome!
My hair grows out my locs. New Sub!
Hey love! Have you tried palm rolling when you retwist!?
Is it better to combine locs when hair is wet, damp, or dry?
I’ve only done it when my hair was dry but i’d say damp would be good as well! If the locs are soaking wet im not sure how easy the crotchet method will be 🤔 now i want to try it just to see lol
This is the one! Thank you. New subbie here.
A easier way to do this is to not to two stran twist your locs, take each loc and pull hair from each loc, basically meaning to distress the loc then start to combine your hair it will give it a seamless look and a forever hold. Give us a tutorial on what you suggest?????
How long did it take the two strand pattern to go away, i want to try this on a few of mine that have the same thing but i dont want my locs to look like two strand twist
The time frame could vary based on your hair texture and how often you palm roll, loc brush etc. For me, id say it got less noticeable after a year and a half.
Is it possible to take your hair apart after doing this? Would eventually like to have cornrows again 🥲
I’m not entirely sure 🤔 i guess it would depend on how long they’ve been joined but i havent tried before 👀
My locs ain't even long enough to do this yet I'm only a month in xD but thank you so much for this information I'll never forget it and I know it'll help me in the future
You are so very welcome love! In any capacity, now or the future, I'm glad that this could help out! 🤗
Thanks for the video . I needed this .
You are very welcome! 🤗
How long will it take for them to soften up and will they unravel at some point or they will stay in place? I really wanna try this so bad
Mine soften up as soon as I started moisturizing them since they weren't super thick. Also i would experience some unraveling if i didn't do it well or if i did it before a wash and wasn't super gentle but eventually it would stay!
This was very helpful. Thanks for the video
Queen you are a godsend!!! Thank you! 😍 btw, can you do this easily with a single crochet needle too?
Hello love🙏🏽 I think the level of difficulty would be based on the thickness of your locs love! If they are slimmer I don’t see why a single wouldn’t work! 🤗
Appreciate this ❤
You're welcome love!
Glad I came across your video pretty cool!!❤️
Thank you so much🤗🤗🤗
Thank you.. 🙏🏽
You’re Welcome! 🤗
Hi,how many days did it take you to combine your locs, really good video and very informative
I only needed to do a few so it took a matter of 30 mins or so…not long at all with this method. Of course, if your locs are thinner or you want to do way more it will take a little longer. I’m glad this was helpful for you! 🤗
Thank you Kee
You’re welcome love!
Great video 😊 do the locs stay intact after washing and retwisting?
Thank you and yes they do! As long as they are crocheted and palm rolled thoroughly, they will stay in tact. 🤗
I’m well try.. thank
You’re welcome love, you got this!
I have this issue around my perimeter. I can't stand it. I'm going to get some crochet needles today! Thank you.
Yessss i’ve had to do it near my edges too 😫
Can I still do this with a single needle ?
Yes I’ve done it! It takes longer but you can still get it done ✅
Peace Queen . Fire video
Asé ✨
Is it better to do this while your hair is wet? Or does it not matter?
You can do both, i have in the past
Beautiful video
I need to do to my entire back bottom row. They're all so thin and it concerns me. Should this be done in wet or dry locs?
Mine was the exact same way at. one point so I definitely feel your pain. I always do this on dry locs (I havent tried it on wet locs so im not sure how it would turn out) and it's worked well for me. One con to it is some shedding though so heads up for that!
That’s exactly what I’m doing the loctician made mine super small in the back 😑
What’s that tool called that you used?
A crotchet needle
Should I wait til my hair is fully locked to do this?
It may actually be easier for you to combine yours since they aren’t fully locked yet…I say go for it!
I needed to know this
I’m glad it was helpful!
should locs be treated, washed or oiled or anything before starting this process?
I’d only recommend washing prior, if anything at all because with this method , you def dont want them too wet or slippery. Then after you’ve combined the ones that you wanted to, you can oil and moisturize them. ☺️
VERY helpful, THANK YOU!
How long did it take to do your whole head?
I only did a couple love, only a few were thin.
Where can I get the tool you used?
I ordered them on Amazon! 😊 amzn.to/3IBsIUu
Will this fix flat locs?
That's vedie was helpful
Thanks!! How many locs did you end up with?
You know i actually have no idea how many locs i have 🤣 Should i make a video counting them? 🤔
@@SimplyKeeSamone yess!!!!😁😁😁🙌🏽
Thank you!!!
You're welcome! ❤️
Should my hair be damp while doing this?
I did mine dry but you can def do them damp!
@@SimplyKeeSamone thanks so much!
***** THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH ******
You are very welcome love! 🫶🏽
also anybody got the names of the songs😭?
I have bee doing this the whole night 😂it’s easy hey and thank you
You are so very welcome love! 🤗
Thank you!
You're welcome! 🤗
Nice
How long will the pattern of the twist take to go away
I think it just depends on the texture of your hair but i’d say about 9 months to a year. palm rolling every retwist really helps as well!
For one you beautiful omg 😍 but wish u could help me with mine 😩💯
👍🏽 👌 nice!
Hello do the has to be wet?
No, i did it while they were dry 🤗
How do fixed a thin loc
I’ve had some thinning locs and what i do is take a really thin one and two strand twist it with a thicker one and do the crotchet needle method. After that, I palm roll really well and i’m good to go!
