casting did such a good job with this uk season. the women are (mostly) secure in themselves, ready for marriage and aren't conflict-avoidant, and the men are (mostly) mature, can actually communicate and are similarly ready for marriage. we love to see it, we needed it after the last season of love is blind us lmao
Agreed! Awesome casting in terms of age/maturity and readiness for commitment. I genuinely enjoyed watching this cast. Very few of them seemed to be in it for the fame/notoriety (unlike the latest US seasons). The latest US seasons also seemed to have some fake drama(possibly instigated by the producers)

But there is a difference between an active or recent cheater and someone who cheated once 7 years ago (and he would’ve been early 20s right??) and clearly regrets it. Freddie doesn’t deserved to be shamed by Catherine for that and if she doesn’t want to be with someone who cheated no matter how many years ago (which is her right) then she needs to break it off. Freddie shouldn’t be punished by her for something that had nothing to do with her.

The way I saw Ollie shutting down at the party and immediately sympathised and recognised it as overstimulation because that's how I get when I'm overstimulated (I have adhd and being overstimulated or understimulated is a huge struggle with adhders). It made me so sad that no one around him seemed to understand what was happening. Completely clicked for me once he admitted that he has adhd and it's just sad that even in 2024, most people are really not familiar enough with neurodivergence to recognise or interact with neurodiverse people without just categorizing theim weird or creepy or strange or jerks.

I'm not saying one is better or worse but their circumstances and how they were treated were totally different.

If he really loves and values their relationship he should do it. Yes, it is gonna be a hurtful and complex conversation but they are not in an usual dynamic.
