Love him or hate him, Ted is one of a kind. I saw him back in the 70s and he said there were enough boring people in the world and he didn't want to be one of them. This was after he swung onto the stage wearing nothing but a loin cloth with a fox tail hanging off his butt. There are musicians and there are rock stars - Ted is definitely a showman.
I enjoyed his efforts back then. But ever since he started wearing a Britney Spears head-microphone I can't enjoy watching him anymore because he just won't shut up. Bring back the mic stands. I saw him at Oakland in the late 1970s. He appeared onstage swinging on a "vine" and wearing a loincloth. Swing auditorium orange show circa 1978?...he came out in a loin cloth and was standing atop the stacks and rocking side to side and the punk rockers were spitting on him ( high praise from punks in the 70's ) and he fucking jumped off the stage into the pit and kicked the shit out of like at least 2 of them,,,,,true rock n roll.....
They’re at Pine Knob (DTE Music Theater) it’s basically an oversized bandstand. I’ve been there many times and it’s hard to keep a high noise level since it opens to the outside. I can assure you the crowd would have raised the roof on and indoor stadium.
If you'd served in Vietnam, you might be President one day.....That's a shame , I love your music and see a lot of things your way. There's only a couple I disagree totaly with you and you know what they are. Anyway, Rock on Ted! I'll still buy your music. ;-)

I saw Ted play at the Pontiac Silverdome in Michigan in December of 1978. He was in rare form that night too for the Detroit rockers.
I met him at his bow hunting store when he still had it in jackson mi , got his autograph ,
