Mauro is the most famous of multiple composers with the last name of Giuliani in the region where he lived, Brilliant Classics has recorded works by at least one other, that being that disc of works for clarinet and harp. The liner notes in the BIS set of the flute and guitar works states this.

Der intime und perfekt entsprechende Dialog zwischen den zwei Virtuosen ist wahrlich ergreifend. Alles ist wundervoll!
Complimenti e grazie infinite! Veramente non ho parole. Violino e chitarra magnifici. Qui Giuliani dimostra davvero di avere invenzione, come peraltro anche nei Lieder. Qualcuno può spiegarmi perché di solito questa manca nella sua musica solistica? Limiti melodici della chitarra? Mah!
Absolutely beautiful pieces by one of my favourite guitar composers. I learnt many of his wonderful studies over the years of trying to play classical guitar.
Giuliani is in the mould of other lead classical guitarists as Luchesi and Gragnani but a step above in level with Sor and Carulli. It is a treat to hear these composers who must find greater inclusion in classical repertoire during world concerts: not just restricted to favourite composers of conductors/organisers. Selection of scores must not be secluded to just modern composers . Some players and conductors accordingly have limitations in performing baroque music and interpreting it as intended by the baroque composer. For example, except for one talented and young group, others played "Variations by Sor on a Theme by Mozart in a variant texture not of the composer's flavour.

I had a vinyl recording of a Giuliani guitar concerto which was coupled with guitar works by Carulli and Paganini.Am I correct in saying that Giuliani's works are in the Galant style?
Well, somebody has to be a bit critical. Now, as far as the guitar gies, it's good, but quite simple. Still I wished I could play like this, confidently, precisely. But the violin part deceives me. It's one thing to put a personal touch, but some of them are a bit out of line. Still, if I played the violin, I'd wish to be able to play like this, following the score faithfully.

Souvenir de l'avoir joué avec mon père violoniste. Agréable pièce concertante dans laquelle la guitare n'est pas limitée à l'accompagnement.
I adore the masterworks of Giuliani specially because I find them to be extremely tuneful for the spirit..

Where would you find some of his music/exercises? I am violinist who is picking up the guitar.
