Those chiming balls are the OG fidget toys. I call them "Worry Balls." You roll them over each other in one hand and they make a pleasant sound that soothes.
That Canon is just an older camera than your SD1000. The screens were that small back in the day and CF was the way to go. My family's first digicam was a Canon Powershot A70 and it has a similar sized screen and takes CF cards as well. My dad gifted me that A70 a few years back, it's a real joy to use!
I love these thrift videos, I been having great luck this past month. Just picked up a clean Minolta x-700 for $25. The place I been going to has been dry all summer but lately it’s been on 🔥
Dude you are inspiring me so much went to a few garage/ yard sales found a Nikon lite touch zoom 110s for $2 bucks !!! Im going to shoot today with it if I have time if not tomorrow I got the itch bad to go shoot thanks to you!!!!!
@kingjypes those balls that you got are for exercising your hands (especially for older people). You have them in one hand and rotate them either clockwise or counter). My great-grandma used to have them.
hey brother, love your content! this is one of my new favorite youtube channels and i watch youtube all day every day, so youre onto it brother! now my only idea to share is to always look up in google "how much was (camera) when it was new" some website will tell you that "new" price from the 90's. Some cameras cost a lot, came from best buy, etc! so basically it might be a 35mm camera only worth 30$ on ebay today as a used item, but it might have been a 300$ purchase when brand new! lets be honest with small maintenance or repair most cameras are in like new condition from the thrift store, so every time you get a good score it is like you "found this old camera i bought at best buy 10 years ago for 500$ and started using it again!".
Not to be rude but these cameras are straight junk I wouldn't pay $1 for. You ever find GOOD cameras at that thrift store? Thrift stores around here hardly ever have cameras unfortunately.
When you say “we are going to, or “we have” … Who is “we”? .. BTW, those stress balls you’re supposed to put them both in one hand and rotate them around.
Let’s get this episode to 1k likes!! Drop a 👍🏼 if you enjoy the thrift videos!

Those are stress/health/baoding/medicine balls! Hold ‘em both in the palm of one hand and you swirl em around each other

That CF card is cash money 👏🏼 And that screen will give you image playback ✨
Don’t beat these balls too hard! They are pretty good condition full-stone meditation balls, they feel very nice when you roll them in your palm

Those are meditation balls. You move both of them around in one hand.
Where do you go thrifting? The places I’ve checked are always out of them 😓
Those are called baoding balls or Asian medicine balls. They can be used for meditation, hand therapy, also makes a great fidget toy.
haha! These balls, try to roll them in one hand, it's an exercise for elderly people. :). No kidding, 100% truth!!
nice gems you found there!!
How do you charge the battery? Let's say it doesn't come with original charger
I think those are the balls that you spin in your hand - kind of like a fidget spinner. But them in one hand and roll them back and forth.
For those who live in Europe like me the camera is called here the canon Ixus 70 and not SD1000 but they are exactly the same camera
Can anyone give any recs for thrift stores in the Bay Area they find camera at. All the ones Ive been to have been busts, except for one in Alameda?
