Have u got the hang of it? I want one but with how old it is I'm not sure if they got apps that do the same thing or better, let me know what u think 😎👍
@@MrChangeordie yeah dude It works how u expect it to really straight forward not like using a computer that's all to much of a pfaff for me but the tascam is really easy to use it took me about half an hour to figure it all out and the things I couldn't figure out I watched videos on RUclips
@@leewightman8619 yeah same here, I ordered it but haven't picked it up, wish there were more videos on RUclips on this one...can't wait to get my hands on it ...
Yep - I’ll agree. Most vids by other people kinda assume your not a noob - you didn’t and so you included some fundamentals that noobs would initially be wondering about, over the more technical info that other ‘Tubers would have fixated on. It would have probably took longer to find this info in the manual . Good intro - I’ve looked at 3 other reviews, yours sold it 👍🏻 ty, love from the UK 👍🏻😀😀
Bought one from Thomann/Germany in 2019. Used it for a couple of months and it worked just fine. When I wanted to record an idea I had, early 2020, after it been resting for a while it wouldn't come on. Sent it back to Thomann, with a video showing that it didn't switch on when I pressed the on/off button. Their 'experts' couldn't find the (obviously intermittent) problem and shipped it back to me in the exact same condition. This "we can't find a problem with the unit" saga is now in stage 4 where I'll have to send it back....again. My experience with the Tascam DP-008EX is Chibson 'quality' and I wouldn't trust it as far as I can throw it, which I probably will end up doing. 229 euros wasted....plus the frustration. I'm pissed off.
Good video from the perspective of a mixing board. It is key that you bring to this presentation. The Zoom comparatively, does not have the options such as "pan" for each channel. This is important, also mute for each track. My intended purpose is for recording synth and stereo output from an effects processor from my acoustic guitar. So synths and effects processor are stereo. I wish to place the recorder on top of my synth, thus my desire a small form factor. Thumbs up.
@@mediasawdust2458 the point is At least 5 of my computers broke down on me some recently and the others in about 2 1/2 years so im trying to come up with more ways to burn cds. I know if i had the money i would just buy a tascam with a cd burner. But im thinking creative here i watched RUclips videos that shows they burned cds with a Android and a external cd burner without using a pc and i thought about can you do the same with a Ps3.Sometimes its good to try something different ???
@@mediasawdust2458 Thanks for the video..I was almost going to get one of these but decided to pay a little more and get the Tascam DP-03 portastudio..a couple things that made me change my mind was the fact that the 008EX does not include a power supply (15 bucks extra)and a few people have stated that they had problems with the power supply they had to buy...I'm gonna love my DP-03 because 10 years ago I had the DP-02 with CD burner built in ...I wish I had never got rid of it...thanks again
A good video. Just a small critism to Maybe aid you in the future. A soft brush or a vaccum before filming goes a long way to presentation. Lots of white particles there. And black device demo on black background just like bad. Not meant to put you down I'm just answering your call for constructive critism. Good job though. Thx
I saw all that when I was shooting it and probably just should've used a few incandescents. It was hard to see any detail that way though. So I sacrificed the look a bit so everyone could see what buttons I was pushing. Thanks for watching.
@@mediasawdust2458 Otherwise, I love that your voice is done with a throat mic (or not?) because all too often you hear that giant reverb-y room-noise narration that is the hallmark of the amateur. Good job!
Just got one last week and its great sounds amazing easy to use ..first time using anything like this and im definitely glad i got it
It's a pretty good machine. Thanks for watching.

Great review! Complete and concise. It answered all of my questions in four minutes!
Thanks. It's a pretty cool little device. It won't solve all your problems but it's not meant to. Thanks for watching.
Thank you sir for sharing this extensive review. Much helped and appreciated.

Damn! Great video. Thanks for just getting right to the main info. Much respect!
Thanks for watching. Glad it helped.
Clear, concise and to the point(s)! I like.
Thanks, and a lot more coming on that side of my channel.
Good points and tips. Thanks.
Very good video. showing the layout.

You're a funny guy, I'm going to check out your other videos.
Subscribe too if you don't mind, I'm starting to see the ball rolling lately.

This is definitely a device meant for musicians. Which is nice as so many recoreders are meant for Journalists or Lawyers. Thanks for watching.
Well done
Any particular SD card to look for or will any 32 GB brand suffice??
How to hook up a cd burner to a 8 Track Tascam. Can you hook the cd burner to the phantom power to power on the cd burner ??
No sure if you can directly, you can with a pc so I don't see why you couldn't do the same with a cd burner that accepts USB.

Great job.
Can you open a 4 Track or 8 Track and attach a Cd Player to them.Tascams has a record button so i thought it might be able to record on a cd ????
You can record using the line out, but my suggestion is to just use an SD reader on your computer and transfer the files to wherever you want.
Getting this to finish my album 💿 I mean auto master yes please
Can I link my drum machine and synth to this?..All I really need to use is 2 tracks.
There are two 1/4" jacks in the back for whatever you might need, including line level devices. Thanks for watching.
Dont dig the fact that it only has 2 track inputs......deal breaker if you ask me zoom has 8
"I wouldn't create the next Disturbed album on it but.."
