Love love love the harmonizing of the overdyed black. Call me a mud lover! The subtlety is gorgeous. Why do we love stationary? I’m so glad/sad that (unless you’re in a big rich city) there are no more stationary stores! Light blue rag paper, mmmm, dreamland! Thank you for the fun video!
I love how the black adds a bit of drama. Love the sample. The last experiment, put in a plastic dish so its not stuck in the dish. You may have a better chance breaking it up.
Love the dyed floof. Not speckled, but super pretty. And that journal is gorgeous! Good on you for actually using it! I have a thing for collecting pretty stationary, and then thinking it's too pretty to use. ❤ Tamantha
See that was my problem. I'd collect the pretty notebooks and then save them for something special. And of course nothing was ever special enough. So I just use them now and enjoy them while they last.
I haven't started dyeing myself yet but when I do start speckling I plan on using one of those hand held collendars. They tend to be metal with a long handle with a round mesh area. They make some with larger holes and others with smaller. The smaller would make smaller speckles I think.
Suggestion for the youtube book. What about mixing dye with water and then putting it in a spray bottle set to spray and see how that does with speckles? You could put acid in the dye water mix as well as a test.

Oh I hear you on the stationary stores. That's something just so wonderful about the right paper products.
Shame on me for doubting you. That turned out so beautiful and here I was Nay saying from the beginning to the end. I bow to you Captain Chaos❤
Hey i doubted it myself. No one is more surprised than me which is honestly what I live for lol.

I'll make sure to do that. I have no idea if it'll even work but I'm gonna try it.
Enjoy your chaos, cats & now notebooks & pens. I can't go by a stationery aisle w/o buying one!
So glad I'm not the only one lol. Stationary is another happy place.

Now that's what I call a happy accident! :-) I might try the same with a navy blue as the base. Pretty!!
A very happy accident. I highly suggest giving it a go.
i was cringing when you added the black, but OMG tamsin that is stunning i may have to try this myself . thanks for sharing this amazing experiment xx
I expected it to be a mess so color me surprised when it turned out lol. Give it a shot. I'm for sure going to try that again in the future.
It turned out lovely.
Thank you.
Oh my gawd, it's so pretty.😍😍
Thank you! I love it despite not knowing weekday the heck I was doing lol.

@@JDiamondW1 great idea. I should try that next time cause obviously this didn't work for speckles lol.
Experiment successful 👏👏👏
Again just not what I expected lol.

@@JDiamondW1 adding it to the list for sure! Love having reasons to write in it. 😉
I wonder what would happen if you picked up some dye on a paint brush and flicked or tapped the dye off it 🧐😜
No idea but I'll add it to the list of things to try.
im a stationary fan too bahaha
Of course. We're 100% related somehow lol.
