Not sure where you are at the moment, but if still in Kentucky, you need to check out Red River Gorge! Talk about a hidden gem! It has spectacular views, , sandstone arches, and natural bridges that will amaze you! Campers love that place. You won’t be disappointed, I promise!!

Patti’s 1880s Settlement is great. The food is awesome. And yes, their Christmas decorations are over the top. It’s a great time to go. You usually need reservations to eat at the restaurant on the weekends.
The tree with the long thorns is a thorny locust. They also grow in Southern Illinois where I grew up, which isn’t that far from Grand Rivers.

We love Patti’s 1880’s Settlement too! We go there annually on the week after Christmas to see the lights with out the crowds. Every season there is special because they decorate so beautifully.
The campgrounds look lovely! And, the food looks delicious!

I was SO excited to see that you went to Grand Rivers!!! We love Patti's!!! I went there years ago for my 13th birthday meal with my parents and our family goes together at Christmas! It's BEAUTIFUL with all of the lights up!!!
I love watching you all enjoy my home state of Kentucky. 💙 We love Patti’s. A few years ago, Patti’s pretty much was a total loss on a fire, but they built it back even better if that was possible. Also, when my grown sons were little boys, we had a photo shoot on the lake at Lighthouse Landing. Such precious memories.

I grew up very close to Percy Priest Lake and went to elementary school at Percy Priest Elementary. We moved to Boston at the beginning of 7th grade, in 1975.
I don’t know how i missed this when y’all first put it up but you were in my neck of the woods. I was hoping y’all would go to Patti’s and you definitely have to go back at Christmas time. It’s my family’s tradition to go out and eat and see Christmas lights for my birthday . Many years we’ve went to Patti’s. Glad y’all enjoyed it. It is truly beautiful

You have an amazing life. Looks like so much fun. We had a camper for 6 years and never used it ever. My husband loves fishing but not camping. Love both campgrounds. the first one is beautiful. Looked immaculate. I love the lake views and that jetty with the sunset amazing!! good for you sometimes you just need to ditch the plans just to relax.

Canal Campground is awesome. we bring our boat for a week every year. The area has so much to offer. Lake Kentucky, Barkley Lake, Land between the Lakes, and Grand Rivers itself.
I absolutely love your travel vlogs! It is fun to see so many places and put them on my wish list. Some very close and some farther away. Water is my love language and feeds my soul so loving all the different areas.
Thats a lot of RV for the two of you i hope u enjoy the airstream if its size is not an issue after the fifth wheel..we can get our 20 foot travel trailer anywhere full bath a must hate service stations bathrooms greetings from NC and just one more mile

Oh I-24 and I-95 have nothing on I-70 in Indiana heading west from Ohio. Oh my lord! Our Reflection got a flat and the tow company that came to help us change it said to head to the next exit to go get it fixed or repaired as they said it’s very likely we could get another one as their roads are that bad. So glad you had “smooth” sailing!

My son’s apartment complex backs up to Percy Priest lake in Nashville. You guys need to visit Willow Grove Marina and campground or Lillydale campground on Dale Hollow Lake. Good fishing very clear and clean lake.
So funny I am in our truck with the RV behind us on I 95 in SC listening to my hubby complain about the road while I’m watching you say that road is so bad! Since then we turned on I 26 and it’s worse. I sense someone in SC stole the road repair money! 😂 We are going to have to try both those parks!
Great vlog! You guys have to camp along Lake Michigan on Michigan side. So many nice campgrounds and cute towns. Lake Michigan shorelines are gorgeous!!!

It is Iowa. Nebraska is close I’m sure but nothing is so spectacular then driving through Iowa in the summer and seeing all the corn fields. Just beautiful fields and farms in that state.

I love grand rivers! ❤❤ my husband and I were married at Pattie’s in October 2008.. in the gazebo! …… were from western Ky! So Pattie’s has been where we go on holidays … Christmas is absolutely a huge deal! We stayed at lighthouse landing for our honeymoon 😍… glad y’all got to see it! Ps next time! Try the beef Oscar!!! Beavers are in streams and small rivers to dam them up. KY Lake and Lake Barkley are too big and wide for beavers. You probably saw a muskrat. Those trees with the spikes growing out of the trunk are Black Locust trees. That is a natural for them.
Grand Rivers is a VERY nice campground!

Thorn tree! I was riding my dirt bike when I was young in the woods...racing one of my friends. I wiped out at the thorn tree and I had no idea that a thorn went sideways into my cheek on my face. (not my booty) My mom and i were laying on her bed hours later watching tv and she said SIS...what is that thing in your cheek! She proceeded to start pulling it out and it took forever! I could hear it making noise as it was coming out of my cheek! That was probably 35 years ago or so and I remember it like yesterday!!!! Love your vides have fun!
