Just ordered these switches, a gold novelkeys nk65 entry, and some PBT caps to build my first custom. Was looking into TKC and found out they’re a local company to me so it was a no brainer. Love supporting Michigan business. I’m glad you enjoy these as I’m currently using browns in my starter Amazon China merch and am hoping for a nice upgrade. Going to film and lube these as well 👍🏽👌🏽
@Liam Slavitt 😏😏 if I gamed pressing space with my index finger that would be strange, but it’s only when I type so I don’t even think about it it’s just natural for me. Idk
3:14 when testing the stem wobble the little bits on the top and bottom that stick out when the switch is all the way down are not visible, did you press the switch all the way in before testing?
damn bro, GMMK PRO is fire. Just ordered the Dragon fruits as well and im curious to see how they sound and feel in person. they kind of sound like Cherry reds to me.
Haha for sure. I might lube all my kiwi’s now that I have a nice lube station and revisit my thoughts... but at the same time.. I could be lubing linears instead 🤔🤔
i was so excited for these, and then when i heard about the change to tactile i kinda lost interest, currently running some banana splits in a stock gk61 since im relatively new to the keyboard game c:
On a north facing switch board, you shouldn’t use Cherry profile keycaps as they create an irritating high pitched squeaking sound on bottom out, this is known as switch interference. If it is a must for your review videos then be sure to flip the keycaps around to get the original pure sound of the switches without interference.
I get what you are saying, but that is not reasonable lol. We know that different keycap profiles all sound different as well, and no 2 boards sound the same. Video doesn’t even translate that great to irl experience either tbh
I don't understand how tho? They feel like cherry mx browns, and currently a meme in the community for their lack of tactility, bad acoustics, and overall lackluster performance.
That stem wobble sounds like its making the stem scratch the housing, def gonna get these just to drop t1 stems and springs in it and see if it changes anything.
@@GroovyGibz it did indeed. And just as appealing visually, it looks like an unpeeled dragon fruit. Greatly reduced the stem wobble. I did a new mod on them using the Durock Pom sunflower T1 stem, which has a smoother and somehow sharper tactile bump and tighter tolerances so very limited stem wobble. I also dropped 72g P springs in them to have that easy startup so you can really feel the bump work. I call them pink lemonades, it’s one of my favorite tactile switches.
I'm thinking about getting into PC gaming and I would like to know what keyboard I should get. Out of all of the keyboards you have reviewed, what is the best and most affordable one? Thank you.
I will be completely honest with you... I’m not sure🤣 I would say a ducky One2 SF with Kailh box reds but they’re always sold out, maybe then a huntsman mini or something? Idk. At this point I pretty much use customs 100% of the time when I’m not reviewing stuff
@@isaakcortes3915 I lubed my legs and leaves. It mostly went away. Leaf noise now is roughly comparable to a zealio, which is fine for me. I used 3204, so I have fairly minimal loss of tactility. I usually prefer 205g0, even on tactiles, but it was far too heavy for these. Especially because they felt so much improved with some lube on the leaves and legs. Just be careful, as it seems a little easier to pop a leaf out on these.
Oreos and kiwis are basically both t1 derivatives, I believe. They should be fairly similar. Just different spring weights and housing materials. Tkc has both dragonfruits and kiwis available. You can grab oreos off amazon. Kangaroos idk about.
I'm trying to learn more about key switches because eventually I want to make my own keyboard, is the difference between stock and film is film is lubed whereas stock isn't? or what is the difference
yooo bro this switches are sssssssick just by the name I have a question for you, is there like a mouse that's like 80grams or below and has 3 side buttons? I desperately need it
You don’t know what they switch materials are? You could’ve just emailed The Key Dot Company and they would’ve told you. And the sound test switch classification WAS HORRIBLE! It’s soooooo tiny and got even more confusing with the keycaps on because I kept having to look down and guess what you were pressing before you moved to another switch.
Well obv being a reviewer they sent some press material. But because the switches are Designed by C3 and manufactured by JWK - it's not the first time they didnt reveal exact specs. And if you don't like them I understand, I didnt make the switches so I dont really care thaaaaaat much. If this video helped you lean one way or the other helping you make a purchase(or not to purchase) decision, for me: Mission Accomplished✅

Me too man! Gotta support our Michigan businesses 🤫
You might be the only one in the world who uses index finger to press the spacebar haha
I did. I recently switched to thumb, I'm still working on it but my highest is 110 wpm with thumb. My highest with my past typing style is 120 wpm
Index for space bar is not as efficient. I wonder why people do it

C3 switches look stunning! I really hope to get my hands on some tangerines or blackberrys 😁
Yo im in school rn but still watch the bangers

some pretty nice switches, I bought 75 of them can't wait to try them out and oh thanks for the amazing video
Of course!

What keyboard case is this? Its super simple and nice
Just ordered these to go with my GMMK Pro on order
damn bro, GMMK PRO is fire. Just ordered the Dragon fruits as well and im curious to see how they sound and feel in person. they kind of sound like Cherry reds to me.
Nice!!
Is the tactile bump at the top of the press?
Feels like it, yes. However it's not as sharp as some other top bump, so it feels almost like theres some pretravel as the bump starts.
What case for the case with the dragon fruits it that
When it's too thick and long, it's too tactile. Thanks for sharing your preferences!
Haha for sure. I might lube all my kiwi’s now that I have a nice lube station and revisit my thoughts... but at the same time.. I could be lubing linears instead 🤔🤔

Nice! Tangerines are where it’s at for linears if you want basically a similar switch but linear
I kind of love how it turns the backlight pink??? that's the most superficial reason I've had for wanting a certain switch lmfao

Alright, I'm sold! Thanks for the review!
would you recommedn dragonfruits, kiwiz, blueberries or holy pandas for a custom keyboard. aluminum plate, dampening foam. they will be lubed
thanks for the help on choosing whether to buy these for my new build!
You should review the 5 dollar Bugha keyboard.
The Dragon Fruit Switch also has leaf ping which is very noticeable in the soundtest
It does! I’m going to see if after I lube them how present it is or not

how do people like these switches if they are very similar to a brown. thought we all agreed that mx browns are bad?
Please, could you put the links of your keycaps in the description, I absolutely love them.
They are called Islander from Infinikey and they are also from The Key Company but they are currently sold out😧
Do they look as cool in real life and how is the rgb
They do look cool irl and the RGB. Will have a pink hue because of the housing
Would def consider getting these if I didn't just buy zealios v2 67g last week

And if in the future you modify the g pro x to make it even lighter?
