I'm a student in Canada from Nigeria, and I don't want to live here long term. It would be my joy to move back someday. This video is encouraging for me. Thank you.
I rarely comment on RUclips, but I just have to say thank you Iveoma for amazing contents!! You have great interviewing skills, you ask relevant questions and also allow your guests the opportunity to speak without interrupting them. Your contents have been so informational to so many people and we appreciate you. May God bless you and reward you in Jesus name, Amen 🙏
All your interviews are so good. I like how your channel gives you a realistic perspective about Lagos and what to expect or not to expect. I think this channel is awesome for all returnees or for people like me who want to visit.
@It’s Iveoma- maybe change the title of this video? It’s gold, wonderful information for returnees etc & honestly, the current title doesn’t really reflect that. I nearly skipped it. Respectfully. 🙏🏾
Regardless of where you reside, there are several helpful life lessons shared in this video . Just to name couple....being adaptable, acknowledgment of grace, and being willing to lower expectations (of others and/or surroundings) which can positively impact mental & physical health. You both were awesome.
This interview is encouraging and an eye opener. Keep it real and coming. Hoping that the Nigerian youths will be strong and courageous enough to fight and change the nation for better. Thank you Iveoma! 👍👍👍❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Great video! I would love to find an occupation that allows me to work remotely while traveling extensively. I currently work remotely as an educator in Georgia. However, it is with the expectation that I will eventually return to in-person instruction in 2021.
Once again excellent content, can definitely relate to Bayo experience! Also your videos helps the viewers to be able to move around safely and prepares us for what to expect! This is inspiring how he’s able to settle there while coming from the US❤️ love it
Very interesting! I’ve been working here for 2 mths and fortunately the hotel I have ‘lived’ at has strong wifi so it’s helpful but doesn’t solve all my internet issues. I also have Smile Network. This is spot on!
I’ve also been back to lagos for weeks now and I’ve been vlogging it for my channel. I echo the internet situation but thanks to a friend who helped with mifi, Mtn data 15gb and I have gone WiFi. Tbh I rarely use the mifi, so the 30k naira I paid isn’t maximised as my phone hotspot does the job when I’m on the go and I even used it to upload youtube videos which is shocking.
Couldn’t click fast enough. 🥰As I question the WiFi strength and consistency as y’all have mentioned it’s not the best, but I have to have WiFi to work. *OAN: his wife’s hair is gorgeous @**3:27* 😍
I’ll try air bnb as I’ll be looking for a long term accommodation shortly. Overall my experience has been good. I only just realised I’m speaking a lot on Uber so I’ve gotten myself a car abs a driver. Really good interview, good to watch
This interview answered several questions for me regarding working from Nigeria and the internet in general. I was in Lagos February-March (left due to covid) but when I was there I was having trouble doing basic things online like transferring money and logging into school, presumably because of my location, I am also a grad student and had a hard time getting my research done. I will be back hopefully in April I was wondering if you have had any experience with any of the co-working spaces? If so that would be a great interview...thanks for always bringing valuable content!
every challenge is a business opportunity...AirBnBs work mostly because most good places are actually influenced by returnees that are targetting other returnees or tourists.
Bro, find one of the 5 star hotels and do the majority of your important work. They are fast. When am in Ghana, Movenpick, Golden Tulip, Larbardi Royal Hotel.
Price gouging equal to naija , how can you price a place in NIGERIA be more than a place in USA . But they complain why they are not moving forward . A lot of expensive places empty in Lagos
@@sweetspice9120 I am not thinking about me , I am thinking about people who actually work for a living. they don't have contracts they don't steal people's money and they don't get money by any means necessary people that actually work in Nigeria .they would like to live a better life that's what I'm thinking about, it's so priced out of their price range , it's ridiculous
@@IveomaMedia who can actually afford in 18 months to bring up $250,000 cash to pay for a place in Nigeria that works in Nigeria that makes money in Nigeria they went to college in Nigeria that never went abroad that doesn't have other alternative means of getting money?
There are places outside of Lekki phase 1 lol Live in the neighborhoods you can afford, live in the apartments/houses you can afford. Cut your own cloth to your level in Lagos just like people do in any major city in the entire world. I live in Ibeju-Lekki, things are way cheaper and there are a lot of affordable places to live, eat, drink in. But anytime I go into Lekki Phase 1 or VI, I am like damn this place is expensive LOL Plus, Prime areas are expensive anywhere in the world. I didn't live in Manhattan although I worked in a law firm in Manhattan. I lived a state away LOL!
I think you should pay for the best internet you can get and follow the steps we laid out. Lol Home internet, mobile wifi, data. Rotate between all of them.

Great first advice, yoi need a decent place to live, a car, driver, stable wifi and spending money. Cos there’s lots of places to see jn Lagos
Wow so beautiful one
Do it take a lot of money to live there by the beach. What does a 2 BEDROOM rent for on the beach.
US citizen here curious to understand why is the Wi-Fi such an issue there and also the electricity
Wonderful
Thank you!
Thinking along the line of working from home too, after I relocate! Will need some advice too from Bayo....

Usually places in Lagos get snapped up fast from my experience.
Nothing is empty in Lagos. Think more strategically and not like you are on the losing side
