RANDY, I JUST CAUGHT MY PB TODAY USING YOUR FLIPPING JIG SET UP! I had a black and chartreuse jig with a sapphire blue salty zoom chunk and caught a 6.28 this morning!! Thank you!
Hype
Congrats Daniel!
Nice!
I also paint my blades of my original chatterbait red! Bass magnet in the pre spawn. I too refuse to pay full price for a jackhammer when I can get the original for a quarter of the price and it's just as effective.
Enjoy that young man. He will be grown and gone in the blink of an eye.
That’s true!
What size ned rig hook?
You are so right , don’t blink
Randy I appreciate your honest a straight forward guidance. I work in the fishing tournament industry and know how RARE this type and style of info is. The same goes for Johnny. I’ve followed Johnny since he first started in college and super glad y’all are working together. I very much appreciate what you guys are doing!
Thanks Jesse...much appreciated!
1987 Table Rock Lake, March US Bass Team Event we used the Charlie Brewer Slider worm to place in the top 10 . Looks like the same system and it still works now. I think the Ned Rig is a stand up bottom presentation and this is a lay down slow swim presentation, Makes a small difference when the fish are not active and are just waiting for the bait to come to them.
Watching this guy is like having a good friend that is a pro fisherman sharing his secrets with you. Always provides sound, practical advise in a no-nonsense way. The best fishing tips videos on RUclips.
Heading to my local waters and will try these modifications. Glad to have found your channel that has great content for all levels of anglers.
Love all your modifications videos, I wish our fishing season up north would be longer , so we can enjoy it longer ,going to try some of these modifications this year ,see how things go .thanks for all the great tips , there are really good info in what you do appreciate it. Db
I can hear Al Lindner talking about jig worms, but these are great looking adaptations. Thanks!
Wellllll I was working. But now its fishing class
Good day Randy. Watched this vid a couple weeks ago, & ordered some stuff from T.W.,... and made a few up. Fished all day this last Tuesday using my usual rigs.... no bites, then around 2pm, tied your rig on and caught three smallies right off the bat !!! Thank you so much, addicted to your vids now, lol.
I am quickly becoming a huge Elijah fan! 🤣 I think he loves being on camera at home & in the truck! Great bait tips. This spring in a VERY dirty lake I put a tiny pearl Damiki Shad on a Ned head and slowly worked it on the bottom with great results. Looks like a minnow probing the bottom. Love your channel!
Just sitting here reminiscing the old school tips & tricks while I'm sitting here drinking my Ensure. 😂 I do like the old school segments, some have fallen by the wayside just forgotten. Others I still use from time to time. 🤔 I like going old school, the fish have forgotten all about them.
I love out of the box thinking, that’s the difference in good and lucky. Good is always thinking and trying to get the advantage, when it pays off, it is really nice
Loved the video and let Elijah talk.😂. Thanks for your tips and information. Good luck this season!
Yeah I love that little guy!
Can't wait for some warm weather to get the water temps up a bit
I fish year round, they just move a little
@@othrbro52 me too, except when there's 🧊 on the water. I don't go for the ice fishing stuff
Awesome. I use to fish a similar rig when I was young fishing with my dad. He would give me his ripped up Manns jelly worms. I would cut it down to a good spot and put it on a ball head jig. Great bait.
Your tips are amazing , I really enjoy them and learn so much too
I believe in that red head I'll be tuned in to night .we got some nice weather here in Ga. Thanks again defendant gonna try this.
I really appreciate your passion and knowledge you share with us Randy! I have fished the jig worm a few times and I for sure try it out with the red head... best of luck with the upcoming tournament's and stay safe and healthy out there!
I'm mad..!!!. Gave away one of my good ones... thanks Randy
I tried it and it caught me my only fish today. Thanks again
Love the videos Randy , I have to go try that here , that will work here in the Chef pass area on spinning gear
Another good one. Wishing i would have picked up some okishira heads last time at bps. Cool kid, hes always so happy. Take care.
Always good info, gonna have to try. Sometime can go over some technics & info on supper ultra clear water for large mouth. Lake by house has 20' vis when it's dirty, like some more knowledge on supper ultra crystal clear water fishing. Thanks!!!
Love the hat🤓20k coming up😀just a reminder like you remind us🤓enjoying the tips
Thx man
That's a great rig
That was a great idea for modifying the worm. My son won't fish anything else other than this style of rig but the color change to red is huge. Oh, and Elijah made my day. Thanks for the great work as always.
Thx man!
Another great tip Randy thanks! I know exactly the pond I’ll be trying out this one when the water thaws out.
Your son makes this video so much better! Love it! LoL
Great tip!!! I’ll be trying these two,,, soon as I can!!
Finally...Randy, I have been waiting for this. If you fished the KMart 100 in 1998 on Richard Russell Lake. My family went there the first week of April religiously and I live in Tennessee. An old timer put us on this bite much like Tommy Martin. We started fishing the zoom 4” ringworm in salt and pepper. We might be the reason Mark Davis came in second. This was pre internet so we had no way of knowing the pros were going to be there. We arrived the weekend prior to the pros and were well into our patter when you showed up. We would pitch that worm at the standing grass, bounce a few themes then swim in. I use a slider head and I bet that was what Tommy was using? I still throw that bait today. And it will smash big fish. It taught me then the power of small...(((((*>J
Used to fish Slider worms and heads Tx style on spinning gear all the time.
Love it great little baits enjoy your time with this will try.
Awesome tips
You have a real life as opposed to a video life. I enjoy the unfiltered and unedited things you do every day. Much more able to identify with a real person instead of someone living a scripted life. Life happens.
Thx Mike!
Randy, i use a 5' Yama cutter worm with a 1/64 or 1/32 jig from Mule jig and it slays. Almost identical setup, gotta try the Okashira head with it.
Randy excellent content I was wondering how much Guido Hibdon RIP influenced you
My wife would paint Pink heads on white roadrunners all the way from S.T.L. to Bull Shoals. Huge difference!!!
Nice video
Man I'm hooked on this channel...lol
Ol’ west coast darter rig
Great stuff as always!
Hi Elijah!!
Just subscribed. You are able to talk to me...very avid 'joe weekend' angler that is willing to spend plenty of time money and effort to enjoy catching fish...... I can't spend too much money😃. Love it. Thanks. Jeff
Can't wait till it's ice out in Massachusetts
Love these videos
Randy thanks for all your great tips. What would be the chance of doing a lake break down of Truman lake and what arm of the lake you would fish for bass. I find it a very tough lake for bass. I have fished it for over 40 years. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I think we have a Truman lake breakdown available on the fish the moment.com website. If you don’t see it let me know and we can make you a personal one
I’m seriously going to buy fluzzy red nail polish.
Thanks, Randy! Great stuff as always. Do you think there’s a place for the Okishira screw head with this rig?
It’s possible. You can use that head on about anything
I like it
Great tips as always Randy.....question though. Instead of using the magnum shakey head worm and cutting it down why not use the regular sized one?? I’ve had tons of success on that worm. Thanks as always!!
Well if you buy the larger size you can just cut that bait into a smaller one rather than carry bags of the small size. So it simplifies things.
Leaving a comment.
Like the old Darter Head
Close!
@@randyblaukatintuitive yup different head shaped effect the action. I’ve played around with different shapes for different plastics
Berkeley is selling this jigging worm thing now they're taking like Ned rig heads and putting worms on them which people have been doing for a long time but they're acting like it's a new top secret finesse bait I saw that on Edwin evers is channel a few weeks back before you know it they're going to have special Berkeley worms made just for the finesse jigs LOL
Any tips on the best blades for a spinner bait? Willow- Colorado ect ..
Big willows in early spring
Hey Randy, show this video to Elijah when he is about 13 or 14 and you will both get a kick out of it.. ;-)
That looks good I bout wanted to eat it myself..lol
Could you do a breakdown on lake Conroe?
Hey randy what do you think of the bottle shrimp
It works pretty good. I caught them in Florida flipping thick cover before with it
@@randyblaukatintuitive thanks so much buddy what do you think the best soft plastic to use for watts Barr lake in Tennessee that’s where I fish and live thanks so much I love the channel
he just wanted to be part of your video lol
Yep!
Do you pinch and rough up all of your worms and soft plastics?. That has the salt. Even the trailers like rage craws
Am I crazy? A long time ago, I read about the finesse jighead worm in maybe in-fisherman. and I want to say they called it a bama rig (prior to the a-rig). Does anyone remember this? Or have I lost my mind?
What are your thoughts on painting the weight on a weighted Texas rig, especially pegged? I don’t know if I’ve missed a Texas rig video or not. Can’t seem to find it.
I don’t paint them are usually use some type of a green pumpkin or black
How about session on spawn/post span smallmouth ?
Has anyone here in the comments ever heard of a Westy Worm? Old school Az right there... lol
Hey Randy one question I had is how do you deal with and prevent rust. Man I've gone overboard with rust prevention this year because I've recently really started getting a pretty good amount of tackle and lost some terminal tackle and replaced a lot of crankbait hooks over the past couple of years to rust.
That’s a difficult one. You need to try to keep them as dry as possible and if you see any rust dust accumulating on the bottom of the tacklebox take all of your hooks out and wipe it down good
Where do I go to ask for your info on Lake Mead?
What color is the worm?
i throw it all the time
Big crappie eat that worm too
My girlfriend is pissed about her lack of red in her nail polish selection.
