Step by Step Procreate Tutorial | Pastel Dreamy Landscape Drawing on iPad Pro
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 10 янв 2025
- ⭐️ This is a real time Procreate drawing tutorial of this very dreamy pastel pink and blue landscape. I will teach you how to draw this illustration on your iPad with Procreate step by step, and explain certain techniques throughout the video!
⭐️ Don't worry about brushes, I will mostly be using standard brushes that already come with your Procreate app, except for my textured brush (purchase link below). But as I say in the video, you do NOT have to use this exact one, and can choose any soft textured brush you like
⭐️ Continue watching to see how I create perfect shapes and shade elements to give depth and shine. You can find the color palette I'm using linked down below.

Hey guys! Thank you for watching ❤️ This is my first video, so let me know what you think in the comments below!
This is very helpful! Will for tag you in instagram for my recreation of that! Thanks :)
The Lazy Illustrator could you please tell me the canvas size
The artwork and colors are lovely and I very much appreciate that you tried to explain it all thoroughly- one suggestion I have is that you tell your viewers when you make a new layer and where you are placing it and even why so it is easier to understand your process and follow along. Also making selections can be a little tricky for newer learners so maybe detail it ( talk through how) for us. I was able to create it but lot’s of rewinding pausing and frustration trying to figure out layer placement and such- also no idea what canvas size and background color you started with 👍🏻
I can’t follow it at all with the layers I’ve tried about 20 times and it all goes wrong when I start erasing outline of the bottle . Beautiful drawing I just wish I could follow it .
PLEASE CAN YOU SAY WHICH SIZE CANVAS THAT YOU ARE USING? IAM NEW TO PROCREATE & I’M NOT SURE HOW TO PICK RANDOM SIZES FOR MY CANVAS, USUALLY ON TUTORIALS THEY WILL MENTION WHAT SIZE TO PUT IN FOR THAT APPROPRIATE PIECE OR IF YOU WANT TO PRINT IT OUT ETC.
I’D REALLY APPRECIATE YR HELP AS I’D LIKE TO FOLLOW ON & THIS WOULD BE MY FIRST ATTEMPT, SO I’M DISAPPOINTED THAT I HAVE TO STOP AT THE FIRST STAGE.
I had SO much fun doing this!
Nothing lazy about this tutorial. It is extremely thorough and professional. The result is very satisfying. I particularly liked how you set out the brushes at the beginning. This allowed me to allocate each one to the quick menu and therefore did not need to do a time consuming scroll through my brushes every time a new selection was made(TIP). I see you have got a good number of views and a lot of likes , not surprising as you have been very generous sharing your time and skills. As you use a lot of layers in this piece my suggestion might be that you pause on the layer menu a few times to give people a chance to check the order. I am looking forward to seeing more of your great creations. Thank you so much.
Thank you patricia! That means a lot ❤️
I watched this video before deciding to try it. I agree with your comments. Love the brushes set out at the beginning and agree that it would be beneficial if you could pause or instruct where to place the layers. I feel like I will be pausing this video many times to achieve the effects, but overall this is a great video. Especially for being the first one that you have posted. Looking forward to trying this one soon.
O
I love your tutorials. Just one suggestion, can you please use a darker background colour while your drawing with a white brush because it’s very hard to follow. ☺️
Hello! Thank you for the suggestion, will definitely keep it in mind for next time 😊 hope you get the chance to check out the rest of my tutorials!
Treated myself to a new ipad for the first time in 5 years, thankyou for this wonderful tutorial, it was a great way of getting back into drawing :)
Wow just wow.. TALENT!
Thank you Aubrey! 😍
i just want to say a huge thank you! I just got an iPad and procreate about two days ago, and have been really struggling to figure it out. I've watched countless tutorials on youtube, but most of them never actually showed a real-time drawing. For people who learn but not just watching but doing the work themselves as well, this video is exactly what they need! I was feeling so discouraged before, but now I feel like I can actually do this! Thank you so so much for this, it was absolutely perfect!
It took me two days to figure out how to draw this, but I finally did it and I am super happy! Thank you so much!! ❤️
I'm not really following the tutorial along because I usually watch the tutorials (about procreate) twice, the first time just watching you draw was extremely satisfying, your drawing is perfect! I hope you upload more landscapes tutorial about procreate as well!
Thank you so much Eva! I will definitely keep that in mind 😍
Amazing !! It worked out so nice Thankyou
Thank you! Glad you liked it 😍
Thank you for the helpful tutorial! I didn’t follow the same artwork but I used the techniques you showed to create my own after struggling to figure out how procreate works!
That’s amazing! 😍
This is a great video. Keep them coming. I love that you showed in separate frame what brushes you are using and how you plan to use them. And which a default brushes and which ones you paid for. It would be great if you could do more videos like this step by step using the default brushes . This is particularly helpful for newbies to digital drawing and Procreate --who are not yet investing in extras for Procreate.
wow this really looks so good, my friends will really like this. Please make more tutorials the thing I have difficulty is using light color shapes in light background
So much inspiration from this video! I am definitely going to be giving it a whirl when I get home from work. I am thinking a darker theme with a pirate ship, with dark blue, purple, and green rather than the pastels. Although the one you made looks so whimsical that I may need to make it as well. Great content easy to follow instructions. I am looking forward to all of your videos!!
James Cleveland do you know what brush I should use instead of gracia brush jc?
This artwork is super pretty! I did it as you explained and it worked. I'm very proud of myself :)
As a beginner, I had a clipping mask instead of an alpha lock (because this way I have more freedom to redo some mistakes),
the start screen with the brushes totally won me over! It makes the process much faster.
I only recommend showing more of the layouts, sometimes I had to rewind to underestimate the location of something.
It would be helpful to know the size of the canvas you are using. Thank you!
It LOOKS like 2500x2500 but I'm not sure
Whaouhhh c'est magnifique !
This is freakin' amazing. So easy to see how you did everything and your simple explanations make concepts I thought were hard into doable things!!! Thank you!!!
Ill be receiving my IPad Pro pencil today & I’m excited to follow this tutorial!
Very nice video! It wasn’t rushed at all and was very well explained. The illustration is really cute and simple. It’s a style I’d like to achieve for myself. Subscribed and looking forward to more.
Thank you so much Beth! I’m uploading a new video soon, I hope you’ll like this one as well 😍
Loved the tutorial. But wished you said what canvas size!! Ty!
Wow amazing tutorial! this is my first time using procreate and I was able to create something so professional! Thanks!
So glad you enjoyed it! 😍
This tutorial was very nice to follow ! I have been looking at a lot of procreate tutorials and your's is one of my favorite. Your explanations were very clear and it's so refreshing watching someone who doesn't only use custom brushes. Thank you very much !
Thank you so much! Im so glad you found it helpful 🥰
I'm SUCH a newbie that everything up to 6:40 took me almost an hour lol, and I already messed up some of the levels. but I'm excited to keep working on it! very beautiful drawing.
I like these tutorials, thanks for making them! Could you start showing us exactly what color you’re picking from the color palette? I made the same palette with the instructions provided but I didn’t have a “white” color. The closest I had was a soft pink. Also some of the instructions were not narrated and it made it just a bit hard to follow. Like when you duplicated the ring layer near the beginning, I missed it because I was looking down at my drawing and I didn’t realize it for a while.
Did this on Autodesk Sketchbook.
Turned out really well... thank you so much for the tutorial ^w^
Keep up the good job! ♡♡
This is great! One suggestion, maybe you can slow down a bit and show us step by step and maybe at the end you can do the time lapse🥳🤩
I am amazed by what you just taught me to do... thank you so much! You are incredibly talented. You should teach more!!!
Thank you so much Traci! Glad you liked it 😊 I have a new video coming up tomorrow 💃🏻
This was a good tutorial for beginners. I just got an iPad for my birthday (I've never owned anything Apple, I'm an Android person) but I was able to figure things out especially when I'm not an artist either. It took me a few times to go back and forth to see what you were doing because you were going a bit fast but my picture turned out so cute!
Thanks for the feedback Trang! I’m glad you enjoyed it, and I’ve improved my newer tutorials and focused more on layers to make them a bit more clear 😊
It took me loads of tries but I did it tysm for this tutorial!
Wow, extremely beautiful! A few suggestions, you were going SO fast when it came to adding layers, changing the order, changing brushes, etc. If you can slow down and explain literally every step it would be super helpful! I know that sometimes it's hard especially when you automatically know what you are doing. You skipped over a bunch of steps when it came to that so I had to keep pausing and a 23 min tutorial took me closer to an hour and a half from rewatching. I love the final look though!
i was just going to suggest the same
thing! it was a great tutorial but i couldn’t follow her speed. i had to keep pausing and going back to see what layer and brush as well
Hello! Thank you for your comment, it’s very useful to consider for my future videos ☺️ This was actually my first video ever, so I hope you have the time to check out more recent ones where I explain in detail about my layers and talk about how I arrange them and keep my files organized! Feel free to leave your feedback on them as well 🥰
Also it would be nice if you mentioned the size of the canvas you are going for ☺️
This is an awesome design but PLEASE! Show which layer you're on, and where you're moving them. I found that part was too fast/not shown enough. I kept getting confused :(
OMG SOOO CUTE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you so much for this video. I love the result 😍
Thank you for the tutorial x
I found it a little hard to follow at times, not knowing which layer you were on’ but I got there in the end and am really happy with the result! Such a great idea. Thanks again
Hi Amber! Thank you for the feedback ☺️ glad you’re happy with the results! This was my first video, I fixed this issue in my latest tutorials, hope you check them out! ❤️
I am so glad you created this video! I have been following you on Instagram and I have wanted to see how you create your beautiful pieces of art for a long time. You did a fantastic job in this video! Thank you, I am looking forward to seeing more of your tutorials!
Thank you Jacquie! I appreciate the support 🥰 I’m uploading a new tutorial this week, I hope you’ll like it as well!
Thank you so much for this video! It took me a few hours to do but following this amazing tutorial really helped!
amazing!!!! I loved doing it and following your instructions!
I've been practicing digital art on my own but this helped so much. You definitely gave me some new brushes to try out.
I am so grateful that you shared this process with everyone, but got very confused from the beginning, what color was the background? because your brush was white and barely visible
Hey! I just want to let you know that I’ve had art block for months and that made me stop from doing art. I stumbled upon your video and I got so inspired by your pieces! They’re all so dreamy. It made me want to start drawing again. Keep making videos 💖
This is really professional for a first video. I'm really impressed. I really want to create procreate designs for my online graphic tee store to have better and personalised designs. Keep it up ❤️!
Today I finally did it!!! After wanting for a couple months. Thank you so much, I learned a lot while doing something pretty :)
Amazing! So glad you enjoyed it 😍
Great job for posting your first video. I watched the video and plan on trying it soon. Patricia below made some great points and I agree with her comments. But overall this is a great video, especially since it was your first one posted. I hope to post my illustration after I try this one. I see you have other videos posted, which I plan on watching. I have subscribed. Your work is beautiful. Thank you for sharing with us. Look forward to following all your illustrations. Keep posting. You're doing a great job.
Thank you so much Teresa! I really appreciate the feedback, and I’m glad you’re enjoying the videos and considering trying them out 😊 I aim to keep improving my content, and always hope to help people improve their skills to accomplish their artistic goals!
This was such a cool tutorial to follow! I absolutely enjoyed creating this piece! Keep em coming. You are awesome!
Thank you so much. I love how you use the default brushes. I followed many tutorials but nothing can give me the result like this.
Thanks for the feedback! I’m glad you found this helpful 😊
Beautifully done. So detailed. It’s a little intimidating for me to try to replicate. I’m a new year to procreate.
This illustration is so nice!! I’m gonna try and reproduce it later! 😘
I really love this color so much ❤️
Love your videos they are super clear and fun to do you explain everything properly
Thank you Lynn for a fantastic tutorial..... really enjoyed it and learnt so much....
Thank you Kris! I’m so glad ❤️
Your art is so soft and gorgeous. I took a look at your Instagram and your work is amazing. Please do more tutorials!! I have subscribed.
Thank you so much Sharon! I really appreciate the support 🥰 I’m uploading a new easy tutorial this week ❤️
@@TheLazyIllustrator, can't wait! Do you think you could do the mason jar with hot air balloon inside at some point. I would love to see how you achieved such a realist glass effect. Thanks!
Thank you for the suggestion! I will definitely put on my list 🥰
Absolutely loved this video for both the art and the guidance. Am fairly new to art in general and am keen to learn how to use procreate. Thank you so much for this tutorial, it's given me tons of tips and I got a lovely piece of art to show for it by then end #perfect
That means so much! Thank you, and I hope you’ll be sticking around for more 🥰❤️
This is sooo amazing. But I'm not sure why the colours leak out to the whole canvas when I'm colouring in the first pink cloud even though I select the blue canvas. Sigh, I can't proceed from there....
Does anyone have an answer to this?
@@kileygallagher1686 I figured it out. Make sure the opacity of your pencil is up till 100% and make sure you close the shape fully.
@@tazzie0123 awesome thank you!
The tutorial was awesome! It was easy to follow and despite me having not drawn anything before, I am able to catch up and understand it clearly. Thanks!
Love it !! Please more tutorial like this!! ♥️♥️
Thank you Daniela! I will definitely keep making more 😍
really love your illustration style, the video is very helpful. Thanks for creating beginner videos for learning Procreate. Which books/ artists did you learn Illsystration from?
this is so detailed! i used it to draw for the first time on procreate and i actually really like the end product :) ive always been pretty bad at drawing on paper so i was so surprised! thank you, i will definitely be following your other tutorials too
That’s so beautiful!
Beautiful and very educative♥
I just finished this tutorial and loved it! Tho I do have to agree it was a little hard to follow at times, I'd recommend maybe watching one of the you can draw this videos by art with flo. Of course, not saying to copy her style by any means but she has a very easy to follow work flow and I think you could pick up some tips from her! Thanks a bunch :)
I LOVED THIS! keep making more please
Thank you!! I will 😍
wow! Thanks for the tutorial its very good
Thanks for putting this up :) I really enjoyed seeing how this was done. I appreciate the steps and I like how some steps weren't trying to "hold your hand" but let you figure some details out as you go (it helps in learning new things).
Thank you Amanda! 🥰
Thanks for this tutorial.
Thank you Salua! Glad you enjoyed it 😍
This was so helpful i started digital drawing and this is so good!! Subbed
Just got an apple pencil geee!! can’t wait to try this out thank you!! :)
Congrats!! 🎈and good luck 😊
Such a fantastic piece of artwork! Thank you for showing us how to draw it! I learned a lot!!!
awesome tutorial! I found it way to rapid but the result is amazing
The tutorial is awesome, but I wish you’d used another background color when drawing with white as it was a bit hard to follow in the beginning. Thumbs up though!
Hello! Thank you for the feedback, I really appreciate it 😊 I will keep this in mind!
Me too, kinda hard to see the white lines. Nice job btw
Yes, I agree, but the final result was beautiful. I love how she describes everything and tells us the brushes to use, it's so helpful! This made me subscribe!
Agreed I can’t even follow this...
I really L O V E this video! It is easy to follow and beautiful to watch!
Thank you Elana! So glad you enjoyed it 😍😍
Finally decided to decrease the speed twice so I can keep up. And a lot of pauses on my part. Apart from that, love the final product!!!
Awesome, going to try this week! Thanks a lot.
Thank you! I hope it turns out great 😊
@@TheLazyIllustrator I tried but it was hard :). However i will also try your other tutorial as i learn a lot from it on the fly. Tomorrow i am attending the birthday of my mum and will print this one out on Matte 210gr paper as a extra gift. The colors will fit in nicely to their new home. Thank you so much.
Loved this!
Beautiful work and nice voice congratulations 👏
Thank you ❤️❤️❤️
i love your work you are very creative!! ,and it will be better if you do screen recording so we can see clearly .wish you all the best
Wonderful tutorial! I can't wait to try it
Thank you! And good luck 😊
You deserve so much more subscribers T_T
I loved this video, I just bought an iPad pro and I was looking for a video like this just to start practicing with procreate, I find it very generous of you to share your art and being so professional! Subscribed of course :))
Lovely! ❤
thank you for this cute tutorial! never thought id be able to create that but thanks to your tutorial i did! please make more videos!
That’s so nice to know! Thank you 🥰 I will definitely keep making more 😊
This was a great tutorial - so easy to follow along. Thanks for doing this :)
So glad you found it useful! Thank you for the feedback 😊❤️
Lovely video, very useful. The only thing is you didn’t mention was the background color you started with. I assume it wasn’t white, because the white was visible. When i started on my iPad the white didn’t show up at all so i had to give my background a little color, but that messed up with me following your example. Sometimes you go a bit fast, but for the rest very helpful video. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you! It was really worthwhile! Only the part with the moon 🌒 I wasn’t able to recreate, it just went too fast for me so I left it out.
Wow! Such a nice design, very dreamy! Subscribed and looking forward to more tutorials to follow along with 😊
Thank you Clayre! A new tutorial is coming this week 😍
Loved this tutorial! Can’t wait to see more. You are talented.

I loved the way you explained throughout the tutorial. Just one request can you make videos on step by step illustrations of cartoony people and animations in procreate?
