Zatanna has what I think might be a very impressive but rather weird and overlooked speed feat where she, and a bunch of other magical adepts, move through different "brane universes" with different physics through hyperspace:

This is suggested to moving through higher dimensions and non-physical realms of consciousness.
There's some funky stuff with the feat but I think it's a pretty good one.

Yeah, I mean I get the Flash because the speed force is like a hack for physics. But Superman just ignores all physics without an explanation for how.
Like how does Superman not set off nuclear reactions while traveling so fast inside of earth's atmosphere? How does Superman travel faster then the speed of light and not cause time dilation? Superman just ignores it all. When you write Superman you kick anyone with scientific backgrounds out of the room and multiply any number you were going to write by 100.
Then magically later you can have Batman somehow doge an enemy that could punch Superman like that makes any sense.

@@alphacenturion1812 Superman's power is to just be as strong or as fast as the writer needs in order to get out of the corner they paint themselves into. Which is not a problem for me.
It only becomes an issue when we see villains able to land a punch on Superman at sub-light speed. Or see Batman take a punch from someone who hurt Superman. Does Superman just pretend to be hurt by various villains?
@@travisbewley7084 Nah he doesn’t pretend.Webcam explained in his Post Crisis Superman video because of how much material Superman has that became inconsistent they put a subconscious and conscious holding back thing.Even when he says he is using all his strength it’s most likely not true.

The fastest speed feat in all fiction is pulling things out of your pocket (or other similar compartments). Doesn't matter if your're a normal human facing Superman, Flash, or any character beyond infinite speed, you most likely will always be fast enough to pull out of your pocket some criptonite, gravit device, gun with vibrational bullets, or anything that will neutralize your oponent before he even notice.

DC speed tiers are insane, though at some points everyone being so fast in speed can get annoying because one you get past infinite there are no landmarks in speed without going into higher categories like inaccessible so it becomes a lot harder to compare between verses such as trying to compare blitzing an infinite speed character vs a being stated to be much faster then a casual infinite speed character. I've only ever tried to really research Zatanna and Morpheus from DC and I recall Zatanna having some stuff in the infinite or higher speed tiers, it's surprising people still downplay DC characters in the general JLA range to finite speeds.
In a way I like the greater than infinite speed tiers because in the finite speed ranges it's incredibly easy for one character from one verse to be THOUSANDS of times faster than another character from another verse making any fight hypothetical between them just lame. At least this way characters are much closer to each other thanks to their inherent unquantifiability to specific values and it's easier to do fun vs matchups.

The speed at which I pressed the video once I saw it is faster than anything Superman or Flash could do.
That is hilarious, that Wally ran faster saving people from a city than he did out running a super big bang (compared to ours), it's the little things in life

I haven’t even seen the video yet and already know it’s gonna be great. Your videos have helped encourage me to get in to comics more. I’m currently reading justice Society of America volume from the beginning of volume 2 and I’m really enjoying it and your videos have even helped me understand some of the Cosmology related events more easily.

How bystanders aren't sucked into the vacuum left behind a super hero moving at these speeds is truly heroic
Speed force doesn't affect surroundings and stuff the more skilled a speedster is with it.
Imagine the Flash moving across the planet at what is essentially infinite speed repeatedly to generate enough force to punch another character with infinite mass.
Realistically, the planet would've been destroyed after the first ring he creates around it while going at that speed.
The speed force contains all that recoil(?) Or whatever.
And with Superman, it's something to do with his connection to reality itself. He can lift up planes that are on route to crush, and safely land them without the plane being destroyed for example... he can fly other humans way beyond the height where they could logically survive (basically, all the "The Boys" satire are realistic)... it's almost like the force from Star Wars, he has some kinda spatial and gravity manipulation powers (that's why he can fly as well).
These things are for the most part explained in-universe.

I kind of think that if relativity worked in the same way in DC (which to be clear its pretty apparent that it does not), these speed feats are way way crazier. Like lightspeed should be way crazier than it is depicted in comics, and faster than light should be way way crazier than is usually depicted. ... What do i mean? Well if you look at the time dilation formula and do a quick limit you see that if you could move at the speed of light that time would be dilated infinitely and likewise due to length contraction from your perspective your path would be infinitely contracted. If you could somehow move at the speed of light, you should experience all points of your path in the same moment - even if you traveled at the speed of light for a million years from the perspective of an observer, from your perspective moving at the speed of light it would all occur over one single moment. ... i.e., to be able to move at the speed of light you would effectively need to be able to operate. ... So how could someone travel a path where they make multiple turns and change directions and stuff at light speed if theyd experience it all as one infinitely contracted moment of time? I have no idea, thats whats so crazy about it.
But then for characters that go faster than light. ... When people say that going faster than light is impossible, that doesn't mean that its really really difficult, it means that its not a thing. A speed that is faster than light is like pointing in a direction that doesnt exist. the speed of light is really more like the speed of causality, the maximum speed at which anything can effect something else via the fundamental forces of nature. If someone like superman can move faster than light, and they arent just warping space-time (like an alcubierre warp drive), then that means that he would have the warp the fundemental mechanics of causality. Like if he is moving faster than light, then what is holding together the particles in his body that can only interact with eachother at the speed of light? Like the degree to which you would need to change the nature of reality to make something go 1 mph faster than lightspeed is literally unimaginable, you would need to transcend causality, be literally able to create effects with no causes..
If someone wants to say well maybe superman would just be warping reality to increase the maximum speed that causality can propagate, but that would just be effectively increasing what the speed of light is rather than going faster than it.
And look I get that causality and the speed of light really doesnt work that way in DC, but still idk, in real life being able to move faster than light would imply being vastly more powerful than it implies in DC I guess.
I mean, for the way varying levels of ultra superspeed are depicted in comics, it would sort of make more sense to say no one can move lightspeed, but you can always get closer to lightspeed. ... Because of how relativity works, if you were moving at 99.999% the speed of light, and someone passes you moving 99.999999999% the speed of light, you'd experience if as them moving by you at almost the full speed of light, and it could always get closer. ... and likewise from your own persepctive a trip from here to the edge of the universe can take a fraction of a second if you can move close enough to the speed of light. ... the terms "from your perspective" and "relatively" being very key. ... If you could go to the edge of the universe in what would to you be a second, it would still be billions of years to everyone at home. ... I guess to have characters that can move arbitrarily close to lightspeed to simiulate how superspeed is often depicted in comics, I guess it would ruin the stories with stuff like "and then the flash ran off to the source and no one saw him for 500 duodecintillion years"
This is getting way too long so ill stop. But if anyone actually read this, do you see / get what i mean? I just feel like a lot of comic fans and powerscalers who havent studied too much physics dont truly appreciate just how ridiculous lightspeed movement really is or especially how crazy faster than light travel is
I'm guessing the reason why light speed seems "unimpressive" is because people only pay attention to how fast it is.

If I understand you correctly, the reason that light is the universal speed limit isn't (just) that it is the fastest thing in the universe. But that it's speed is the fastest that anything can do anything and the fastest speeds where events can happen. Again, if I'm reading you correctly:
1) Travelling at near lightspeed would make you travel forward in time. It also increases your mass and therefore kinetic energy.
2) Travelling at lightspeed would be similar to the first but will feel like no time passed at all. You behave as if you have infinite mass and infinite kinetic energy (I think).
3) Travelling past lightspeed breaks spacetime's effects on you and you'd be beyond causality.
Is that right?

Barry Allen The Flash is my favorite Superhero and Eobard Thawne The Reverse Flash is my second favorite Supervillain.

for the radio tuning one, you said he "tunes the radios to the nearest septosecond", but the panel say he "calculates the amount of time until they arrive, to the nearest septosecond", it doesn't actually say how long he has before the titan arrives, so it sounds like people where making incorrect calcs on a false assumption there lol. but i guess it doesn't matter since it's an immeasurable feat to begin with, just felt like pointing that out lol.

It would be cool if you could do some scaling on Umineko/When They Cry a lot of people know of it as a powerful verse but as far as I know there are not really good scaling videos on it.
