Great video man, the microscope work and comparison to a genuine is awesome. Been looking to purchase this one for some time, certainly wouldn’t do it without the coin being graded. Thanks again
That is an awesome video It's very good to know Like the video notes On a lot of G-04 You do not see the center of the D being a triangle You have to rely on the location and the sheriff's
Thank you very much for this video! I enjoy learning how to spot fakes and getting new information so I can help others when they are buying their investment! Thank you so much for sharing!
That's interesting, because I see D's like the one on the right on one cent coins all the time. Just looks smashed, much like the branch, the leaf, and the ends of the E that surround the D. I'm not suggesting you're wrong, I'm just saying I see real D's that end up looking like that fake one, when that's not how they started out.
On "in god we trust" on the denver mint the "S"and "T" will almost be touching not true with other dates number (2) the 1 in the date will be farther away from the neck (even the 1916 p and s both have a 1 that almost hits the neck line) also there should be a gap in the 3 leaves right above the mint mark on a real one (between the 2 bottom leaves) I have one in FR2 condition that I'm about to sell.
Thank you SO much for watching! Please don't forget to Subscribe!!!
how can I send your a photo of my 1916 d Dime,, to see if its even worth sending it out to get it graded... first timer

Great Info dropping Jewels thank you for sharing your knowledge
Thanks for this video. Something that needed to be put out there.
You're right that the NEW ANACS is loose on grading. But the old soapbox slabbed coins are generally solid for the grade. And sometimes undergraded.
Great way to verify coins.. and you would be bummed to lose that money on the grading !! solid advice!!

WOW !!! Thanks for the education.

I like your video on this topic, however I will add ICG is also reliable regarding authentication as well as ANACS.

Is every date the same on the D mint mark.? On location
There may be slight variations, but pretty much yes.
Do I need to worry about counterfeit mercs if Im just a stacker? Im not looking to buy rare 1916's or anything, Im a SHTF silver stacker.
Not really... common date mercs aren't really faked much because they're not worth a whole lot more than just silver.
thank you!
Tengo Una 1914
Still looked like a D but I will never be able to afford one any ways unless I find one Metal detecting. thanks
Well it was a D, just not a real one. It was likely added to a real 1916-P :)
Send me a Facebook add or if you Would . Im an info junky haha
