I always wanted a log cabin set for 76 so when this came out a friend of mine @ed me in a 76 Discord server I'm in. I bought the bundle right off the bat but since my CAMP build is already perfect without it I will just wait til the update with all those loadouts drop to use the set.

This year's Christmas build uses the same set. I'd imagine that would look pretty good with a winter mod too. 😜

I just rebuilt my camp and I used the log cabin and glass with the awnings too. Yours looks great. I'm still getting used to mine.

It comes back fairly regularly. If you keep an eye on the Atomic Shop on a Tuesday it'll pop up!
Used this video to create my camp in a very similar location, love the atmosphere of the area. The new building set really makes it feel like it belongs!

I like the new set, I'm from Newfoundland, lots of cabins here and even some houses here are made with logs

Dude trying to build the cabin the exact way is an absolute headache especially when I had to restart the whole thing because something was intersecting, or selected item piece was floating, etc.

I was looking for a few ideas to kind of modify my cabin. So much editing in the video with pieces was put here but then later on in the end of the video this was replaced and that was replace and no idea how it was done it's just way too confusing for me.

I've been trying to go medieval with this set and limestone wallpaper walls. Right now I've got a mead hall/longhouse-type building but I want to try an inn next. There's a surprising amount of furniture and decorations that fit. Torches, thrones, curtains as banners, mounted scorchbeasts.
Hmmm. 🤔 That sounds cool. I've tried a Viking longhall before but I never managed anything I was happy with. I might have to give it a go.
@@DarthXionGames Post it for us if you do! I was about 50% happy with mine lol but it makes me wish we had log supports and fences. I'm gonna try to make my own out of benches or something. I think there's a lot that can be done with the theme though!! Castle dungeon shelters! 😁

Maybe you could use one of the plant options at the base of that tree outside. I might look like it's growing out the pot.

use a powerd door it works for defense walls
Very nice build!! Those rope lights make it look super good. Such a good color light. Also rock garden 100%!
I'm trying to build mine. Have it hanging over cliff. Used foundations and switched to floors hanging over. Turning out pretty decent.
Sounds cool. Those cage lights are pretty underrated imo!

Quick question, any idea if there's a trick to remove stairs off the floor? I want to get rid of them completely so it looks clean underneath.
I'm not sure exactly what you mean, but I'd imagine it can be done... Chances are it'll cause other problems though if you do. Stairs can be pretty finiky.
@@DarthXionGames oh where my floors go over cliff side, I have pillars down to concrete foundations. Looks cool, just have this stupid ladder off the side. Lol. Wasnt sure if anyone found a way yet. No problem. I got it looking ok. Thank you!
I'm not sure how you do that tbh. Bethesda changed some stuff with the posts recently though, so it might cause problems if you change things.
I have had my camp there since beta because the npc and animal spawns and can use the cooking thing that is next to the truck
I've had my eye on the spot for ages. It seemed like a good time to build there. Pity the pond nearby became a raider camp though. That had a lot of potential too.

It probably just looks bigger because of where it is. The size is fixed, (though custom worlds will allow you to make it bigger when they arrive - you wouldn't be able to have that camp in any other game mode though).
How do you sell stuff in different vendors ?
You can't. They share inventory so anything you put up for sale will be available at all of your vendors.
I was not able to get this bundle. I'm so sad, I've been waiting for it to come back in the Atomic Shop
It come back around a while ago. I'm sure it'll be back again. ☺️ They change over on a Tuesday, so I'd keep checking back then to see if there's anything you want to pick up. 🤞
I'm loving this set! It has a "warmer" feel that most of the other ones. I love how it looks inside when you use the orange shag carpet floors. My only gripe is that it doesn't have the peak & pyramidal roof pieces. Also, did you notice that there's a "capped" half wall option, and the angled wall pieces are all in a single menu selection...
It is a little less expansive than some of the other sets. I did notice the cap and the menu changes. It's definitely an improvement. Not sure where I'd use the capped piece though.
How did you get 3 slated roofs together? Mine won't connect more than 1
If you make sure you have all the slanted walls in first you should be able to snap the roofs straight to those rather than to each other. After that you should be able to extend the roof by snapping to the roof piece beside the one you're trying to place, (rather than above or below). If you start at 2:45 you should be able to see how I did it.

Where are the awning's on the front of the house from ?
They're part of the recent Whitespring bundle from the Atomic Shop.
Can you still get this cabin set I can't find it
It's not available at the moment, but will probably reappear in the Atomic Shop at some point. They tend to cycle these things through every so often.

Yes. FYI Double check you're getting the right bundle if you pick it up. A few people have picked up the prefab by mistake.

is there a way to adjust the height of a foundation without moving the mouse (pc ofc)
Once you've placed the foundation, select it again then press & hold "E", you change then change the hight with the mouse wheel. 🙂

Google is a pretty decent place for inspiration. A couple's of minutes was enough to get me rolling. 😊

Google went a long way here. I didn't really base it on any specific design but it got me moving in the right direction pretty quickly.

I'm not sure tbh. I think it was related to the Whitespring in some way, and I think they were in their own set but it was a while ago now so I'm not 100% sure.

Bruh I bought the log cabin bundle but I can’t find the walls in the build menu
If they're not pretty close to the top, then you may have the prefab structure rather than the building set. It'll be under misc structures of so.
Is nice, I have a recommendation to that you could do. You could make a mini town for a build, I seen people make them and do a pretty nice job but don't have enough decorations due to the buget.
I'd like to do something with multiple structures at some point. I've yet to find the right spot though.
I tried building with this set but there was a gap between the walls 😅
Move the wall either backwards or forwards. They do meet up, but they haven't to be on the right side of the join.

I made a similar cabin build before this vid came out only difference is that mine is on top of seneca rocks

I've done a few decent sized houses, but the budget, (and the build area tbh), just isn't large enough to do something like that.

I'm so disappointed in the fact that I can do interior, I cannot build a nice house to save my life though.
😊 it can be a battle to get that down! Check out my "From Box To Boss" video if you haven't. It might be helpful. I go over a lot of my thought process for structures in it. 😊
@@DarthXionGames I actually build this one with some altercations because for some reason on console some stuff just will not snap together. I really have been looking for a build like this. Something elegant, not "ginormous," as well as something functional.
@@DarthXionGames after a year now, I'm still using this same design although I've updated it a lot. I've added a whole store front to the left side for my vendors that I add grolls to. I have to have a beautiful camp and vendor. I honestly wish I could show you. This design is a fantastic start. I've gotten to be well known on xbox because of this camp, it's my vendor camp and gorgeous.

Nice and cosy. Perfect for that location. The new wooden pieces are really good looking. I build a copy of that little cabin from Foundation and thought it was really good, but your house is so much better. Wish I could live there.

I just moved my camp and used the log cabin walls also. I didn't like that they are unable to make an upstairs from the walls but your use of the staircase sure makes it possible.
