@@VualDaZart actually yeah, i saw a few channels which said to just search the BIOS up on google instead of leaving us on our own when it comes to finding them.
So, obviously you can't just give us a link to download your 'ROMS ON C' folder as its a folder for files on your computer, but how did you attain the emulators? You do skip a crucial step in the process by not telling us and just assuming we have a folder full of emulator roms.

Why is it that every time I load a different core from within RetroArch they are showing up on my main menu (along with my games and apps) as standalone(s)? I thought the whole purpose of RA was to have an all-in-one solution to eliminate all the “clutter”.
My original 2DS was already maxed-out at the 300 apps/games threshold. So you can imagine as these “cores” were showing up and I was “unwrapping” them my games were disappearing.
Is there a way around this. Or when you load a core (or a newer core) you are just stuck w/ these showing up on your menu screen?
It’s actually nice to know there’s an option in RetroArch to do this. I don’t have so many games that I actually prefer having them on my home menu.
Wish I could help you in figuring out how to turn it off but I’m just starting down this path.
What methods would us pokemon collectors use to get mythical or legendaries via mods to the switch?

Different cores will give different results too. Running _Rockman & Forte_ _(Megaman & Bass)_ on the SNES9x 2010 core was chuggy and bad, but the 2005 core ran smoothly as I could ask for.
Personally, I use roms to make cias which I can load right on to the DS. I personally don’t like emulators on the 3ds as I’ve seen them not run so hot. And it’s just a preference, y’all do y’all 😌
I just dislike the saves control but it is much nicer when they all have their own block aha

Yeah, this is amazing stuff here. Had to take the plunge and copy ALL my ROMs from the Micro SD card in my phone over to my computer, and then copy THAT over to the Micro SD card from my new 2DS. A time-consuming process, to be sure, but very worthwhile...yesss.😎😎😎😎😎
Feels GREAT to play certain NES/Famicom ROM hacks on real hardware, like Roll-chan 1-6...
RetroArch does look interesting. I use TWLmenu++ on mine.
i use twl menu as well, but i hate those borders when im playing gba emulators
@Natsu Dama personally i put up with the boarders because the image is more true to the emulated console. Retro might be stretching the image

i used your old tutorial to download retro arch. i currently cannot play gba games because one of the cores doesnt works and the other runs it bad. just wondering if this tutorial fixes that or if theres a way to fix it without turning the gba roms into cias with special software. Thank you

I just worked it, I left the original retro cia and not the one the was in the folder. I fixed that and it worked
What happens if for whatever reason you need more space on the SD card, and you need to size up? Can you just copy and paste all your stuff from 1 SD card to the other, or is there a whole process involved
can use gm9 to unmount sd card and transfer all your data to a new card super easy vids on youtube

Still works on older 3ds/2ds models, games just might run slower because it’s weaker hardware

I use the old 3DSxl and hAve never been disappointed. Some games obviously aren’t meant to work on that hardware so just don’t expect it to play those games 🤷♂️

ok so tried to play gba games on mgba and retroarch but it was too slow i mean nes snes gameboy gameboy color sega master system and pc engine games works fine but game gear sega 32x and sega genesis gba and others dont work at all on my old 2ds like how do i fix this problem i mean i tried different emulators but they wont work at all
because retroarch on 3ds is TERRIBLE. use virtual console injections

You’re better off doing a direct .cia injection through FBI for use with the virtual console that’s already there
@@311pwner that’s what I was thinking and that’s what I do. On a 3ds MGBA is unplayable. Much better on a NEW 3ds. And some of the injections don’t work. Issues with screen wrap, not saving etc. shame as GBA on a 3ds should be a perfect fit
@@311pwner Yup, if you cant find the virtual console game you're looking for (hshop) you can inject your roms using New Super Ultimate Injector (NSUI) Beta 27 or Beta 28.
Yeah there's no GameCube one so retoroarch wasn't helpful

right click on the zip file, if you're on windows 11 you will need to click on "show more options" at the bottom (after right clicking). There will be an option that says "7 zip," hover over it and press "extract here." oh, and for this guide to work, you will need to jailbreak your DS

Oh nvm, I realized, you just download the game in .cia format and put it in whatever folder u usually put ur .cia files in, then boot up ur system, go to the fbi app, find the .cia file you installed onto the sd card, and do "Install and delete"

Appreciate the video, they are very helpful. I think I might be doing something wrong though? I copied over my BIOS files to the system folder as demonstrated in this video, but when I load up, let's say an Atari 5200 game, it says missing BIOS file, and I have 5200.rom right freaking there? Did I miss a step? Also, if I load a core first, then select my content, it will still ask me to select a core again. So people might be better off selecting their content first, then the core?
Edit: So what I did to fix this was go into RetroArch, settings, scroll down to Directory, System/BIOS and select your BIOS directory, then go back to MAIN MENU, Configuration File, then Save Current Configuration. Not sure if this helps, but in the system folder I made another folder called BIOS in all caps, and moved all my BIOS files to that directory, and everything started working and I didn't get any missing BIOS messages. Hopefully this helps someone.
